The Guide was very knowledgable and he gave the group a great deal of information about the National Cemetery. We arrived at the viewing steps for the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier a few minutes early. Seeing this ceremony was the heart of the visit

Thank you for your feedback, and sorry to hear you were disappointed in your tour, but with all due respect a few clarifications: 1. The laying of wreaths is not part of the Changing of the Guard ceremony. Wreath layings are done by the public and arranged privately, therefore there are not always wreath layings. Also, our guided tour of Arlington is about 2 hours, and the wreath layings take approximately 20 minutes, so we typically do not stay for the wreath laying as we would have to remove other portions of our tour. For instance, on this particular tour, a guest was looking for their brother. 2. There are up to 38 funerals per day at Arlington, plus 1-22 wreath layings, and various other ceremonies running continuously at Arlington National Cemetery and the adjacent Fort Myer base, each have trumpet/bugle players performing Taps. We do stop and show respect for nearby funerals and ceremonies, but we cannot stop for all times a bugle is heard in the distance because one is always heard. In this particular instance, we were well away from the Tomb of the Unknown plaza where the bugler was playing, and I do recall the moment you hushed your guide and two other guests was when your guide was pointing out their brothers grave, a former Tomb Guard who was killed in Vietnam. We extend our apologies to these guests for the disruption of an otherwise sacred memory.

This was a great tour. Liam was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and was easy to listen to. We saw the changing of guard (he knew the perfect place to stand) and he took us by resting places of well known figures. He answered questions very well. Would definitely recommend!

Great walking tour! Liam was very knowledgeable about the whole tour and very personable. So glad we decided to take the tour instead of just walking through it ourselves. We would not have known a lot of the history behind it.
