About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Karen B0 contributionsDisappointed by last minute cancellation! They cancelled our tour just a 5 days ahead of our scheduled excursion. The reason was the Inauguration. This left us scrambling at the last minute to find another tour. It caused us to miss a tour of the Capitol and we weren’t able to reschedule. I felt like they should have given us more notice or come up with a work around. If you know it the Presidential Inauguration and you are not able to do the your then do t schedule it in the first place. Very unprofessional!Written 20 January 2025
- Jacqueline F0 contributionsA must see tour in Washington, DC.Elvis, our guide and John, our driver were fantastic. Elvis provided us with through information, including history and culture about DC and the African American experience. He evidently really enjoys his job. John is an experienced driver who safely took us around town. My husband and I were very impressed.Written 19 January 2025
- eddiemleblanc0 contributionsWorth itGreat trip. Our tour guide, Nick, did a great job explaining everything and making it interesting with his corny jokes. At first, I thought the tickets were expensive, but now I realize it was worth it. I thought I knew a lot about the history of the sites and people, but there was so much I didn't know. Worth it.Written 4 January 2025
- D104RKlindseys0 contributionsSkip it.There were only three stops on this tour. One was a long way off. You couldn’t see out of the bus. The whole trip would have been over three hours. We got off and got an Uber home. Do the monuments at night tour on an open top bus instead.Written 3 January 2025
- jimmT568VT0 contributionsSome beautiful sights, but too time-consumingMost of the sights were nice, but a lot of the time was spent on a bus. And unfortunately, the sound system was muffled and it was hard to hear our tour guide's comments. The trees at the Ellipse and CityCenterDC were excellent. The long drive to and from Alexandria wasn't worth the time it took. Overall, though, it was an entertaining way to spend an evening.Written 2 January 2025

- danielkM3845XE0 contributionsMore touring … less lunchingThe tour guide and driver were fantastic - Sam and Silvia - overall everything was very good - I just thought having an 80 minute lunch break at a mall was excessively long for a 6 hour tour. More touring and less lunching is my recommendation.Written 31 December 2024

- stevebW8555TL0 contributionsLots of Beautiful, Iconic Holiday lights - Packed EveningThe Tour was well run and we got to see lights at all the key spots in the D.C. area. The guide knew a lot about the areas we toured and was charismatic. Sometimes it was a little hard to understand him, but otherwise he did a great job . The tour covers a lot of ground very quickly, so sometimes it felt a little rushed. However, you get to see a lot of beautiful lights across the area, and the guide offered to take photos for patrons at the various stops.Written 25 December 2024

My family of 4 (husband, myself and 2 boys ages 15 and 12) did this tour last night. It was a very good overview of the monuments. You don’t spend a whole lot of time at each place, but enough to go though and see them. They aren’t going anywhere, so it’s easy enough to decide if there’s somewhere you want to come back through after the tour. Guide was knowledgeable, fun and the 3 1/2 hours went by very quickly- it was worth it as well just to be driven to the sites- not having to park a car ourselves or find an Uber every time we wanted to go to a new monument. Nighttime is a really neat way to see some of these places and I got some great pictures. Would recommend.

This tour was outstanding!! Our tour guide Terry and driver Ali were both wonderful! Terry was so knowledgeable about the monuments and city itself. Both Terry and Ali made sure we had enough time to see everything at each monument, so we didn’t miss anything. Terry even offered to take pics of your group if you wanted her to!
In terms of COVID, they made sure everyone had their masks on while on the bus, the group was very small and we were spread out on the bus. They had bottled water that you could take from a cooler while getting on or off at each stop.
I could not recommend this tour enough!! A great way to see all the monuments and learn so much about each one!

The tour was all we could have hoped for and more.
The glass top bus is ABSOLITELY worth it because on a beautiful night like we had it is a convertible and the bus becomes open air.
The tour hit every major monument/memorial we wanted to see and provided adequate time at them all.
Our driver, Smokey, was excellent on all counts. A safe driver, a knowledgeable guide, a very nice man, and a great singer as well.
This was a fantastic experience all around and I would recommend it for anyone - whether it be your first time in DC or if you have only visited the sites in the daytime this is a must.

DC at Dusk was the highlight of our trip to Washington! Our guide, ‘Tourgod’, was very knowledgeable about all of the sights on our tour with plenty of punny humor and charisma along the way. There is ample time at each stop for photo ops and exploration galore. The open-top bus offered unparalleled views of monuments and buildings along the route. The city cooled off considerably during the dusk time frame of the tour, making it an enjoyable experience for all. Only regret is that we didn’t bring our nice camera to capture sunset monument shots! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend DC at Dusk to anyone!

I was coming to DC to look at a school, so I decided to ask my mom to come with me to make it a fun weekend. The one thing she wanted to do? See the monuments all lit up at night. Boy, did this tour DELIVER. Our guide, Terry was extremely knowledgeable about DC history and monuments, and was extremely engaging to listen too. It was clear she loved her city and her job. It was a little chilly the night of our tour, and we were embarrassingly unprepared for the cool weather, but it did not diminish the experience at all. It was a clear night and the monuments looked amazing. Terry knew all the best spots and tricks for pictures. I would absolutely recommend this tour, just be sure to wear comfy shoes and to bring a jacket and a good camera. The pictures from my iPhone barely capture how beautiful everting looked.

We booked this tour last minute and almost did not go as we had spent an exhausting day exploring the Smithsonian's and Arlington but to miss this tour would have been a huge mistake. Our tour guide Nick made this a truly memorable experience. He was so so knowledgable about these monuments and DC in general. His humor was spot on, clean and paced just right. To start, one couple was late for meeting the tour and he was patient, called them multiple times and waited just to make sure we didn't leave anyone unintentionally behind which I thought was incredibly generous. He was very explanatory of COVID precautions and the tour "bus" was really a very modern and clean ecocline type van which was clean and well maintained. We hit every monument on the agenda with PLENTY of time to enjoy the moment, take pictures (which Nick very kindly took for us) and ask any questions. The tour was spot on with 3 hours and was well worth every penny. Do yourself a favor, book this tour ..... and ask for Nick! You will not be disappointed!

Our tour guides Edgar and Ali gave us a wonderful evening tour of Washington D.C. Edgar gave us an informative tour of several sites around the city. We had enough time to take pictures and he encouraged camaraderie among the tourists. The explanations of the war memorials was informative and emotional. You really feel the pain that each of the memorials invoke because of Edgar's reverence for the fallen soldiers. Wear comfortable shoes because there is a good bit of walking to see the sites. Ali's bus driving was wonderful. I can't even imagine trying to drive through that traffic. Seeing D.C. at night was beautiful.

We appreciate the great feedback! We work hard to ensure each of our passengers have an unforgettable tour experience, to hear the great job Edgar and Ali delivered means a lot. The way that Edgar presents the history and the elements that the soldiers endured really allows you to see the suffering that the sculptor portrayed. Thank you for your kind words!

This is a must-do if you are staying in Washington, DC overnight. As beautiful as the buildings and monuments are by day, they are even more dramatic and lovely by night. Team this up with a top-notch driver (Theo) and guide (Dion) and you'll have an unforgettable experience. We were picked up at our hotel in a spotless and comfortable small tour bus. Dion combines encyclopedic knowledge with wit and entertaining delivery. Most of the stops included time to get off the bus and enjoy Dion's explanations, descriptions and lore. My only suggestion wold be for the tour to supply headsets, and a mic for Dion. He has great vocal production, but if you were in the back of the group it was hard to hear everything while walking. It would be a shame to miss a single word! I highly recommend this experience!

I can't recommend this tour enough... the city is beautiful at night and it was such a great way to see it! We would never have gotten to all of these sites on our own nor would we have known the history behind each. Christopher is the BEST tour guide... his knowledge was amazing, his delivery was engaging and he was full of funny jokes. Don't miss this tour!
