Weird and wonderful, a must visit, great coffees and cocktails in a unique setting. Didnt try the chocolates although they looked amazing and people were raving about how good they are.

Lots of fun, history and a bit of theatre tasting the local stuff. Secret rooms, cellars, ghosts, a little magic and a generous amount to taste.

I thoroughly enjoyed the sweets I had in the shop. I wanted to buy some sweets as souvenirs, so when I tried to order at the counter, the female shop assistant started talking quickly in English that was hard to understand. I understood that they were not currently in stock, but I was confused as I did not fully understand the details. She then sighed in exasperation and said something, probably in her own language (which I could only interpret as dissatisfaction and insult towards me). This left me with a very unpleasant memory at the end of my stay in Riga. It was a really unfortunate experience, even though the sweets was delicious. I hope that shop assistants are hired with an emphasis on personality, as this is what is best for both customers and shops. Visited at noon on October 13th

So glad that a friend recommended that we visited here whilst on holiday in Riga. It is a unique establishment that sells the famous Riga balsam drink alone with mouth shattering chocolate and confectionery. The shop/cafe extends back inside like an Aladdin's cave, with plenty of seating available. The atmosphere and decor is excellent an the staff (all in traditional dress are welcoming and friendly. Well worth stopping by for coffee (or balsam) and cake whilst walking around old Riga, we did many a time whilst here for the week.

蠻無聊的，不會特別推薦，但如果想一次品嚐不同口味的balsam，可以直接買小瓶回去喝就好，省下費用。。。。Honestly, I won’t recommend to someone else. The basement is quite interesting but nothing else.

Fanstasic setting, brilliant foos and drinks, even the toilets were in the sytyle of the rest of the experience. The man serving us was excellent, the ladies working there were not so friendly. Avoid them and it's brilliant.

One of a kind bar. It travels you to Middle Ages. Looks really haunted with books moving. Staff follow the concept with their outfit

I really enjoyed this tasting tour. The location serves both amazing chocolates and a wide range of cocktails using the Black Balsam liquors. The tasting tour was a lot of fun, Tatiana was a great guide to the history of the elixir and gave great recommendations on the cocktails. I enjoyed it so much I returned on a separate occasion to buy gifts and enjoy one of the many craft cocktails highly recommend!

All things chocolate. Great chocolatier and local liquor bar. All chocolate based desserts and drinks made from the Riga Black Balsam liqueurs. Great atmosphere and really good chocolates.

This was a fun event to get yo know the secrets of Latvoa's national drink. Well organised and interesting, awesome suprises during the tasting and friendly staff.

Interesting place with gothic vibe. The drinks where pretty good and of course the chocolates. Worth a visit for sure. Also they have some nice gifts to take

My friend and I loved Black Magic Bar in Riga! Eleanor was our host and was very informative, she was great. I think she said it was her first time doing the experience in English and she was amazing! The experience was enjoyable and fun, and we enjoyed trying all the types of Balsam. The cocktails in the bar were excellent!

Went to Black Magic 3 times during my stay in Riga. First stop was on a guided tour during which the guide gave some info about the history of the place as well as about the famous Riga Balsam. I came back later to try the Riga Balsam and to try their chocolates. Also passed by on the last day of my stay to buy some magical chocolate boxes for my nephews. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Absolutely must try the black magic hot chocolate €5.50 and the truffles - from €2.20 each. The blackcurrant, cherry and raspberry flavours were incredible. The surroundings are amazing, a really enjoyable visit. Very atmospheric!

Absolutely loved it here – amazing service and attention to detail. It really felt that you were taken somewhere completely different with the décor and ambience inside – could have sat there for ages just taking it in. Highly recommended if you are in Riga.
