Maarja is absolutely a wonderful guide and warm, personable human being. We felt welcome and learned lots about the culture, got great pictures and even squeezed in a quick dinner based on her recommendations. We had roundtrip transportation in a timely manner with Juri who was super kind.

We were greeted warmly by Maarja and Juri at our hotel and loaded into their very nice van for a 4 hour tour of Tallinn. We enjoyed great conversations with Maarja as we learned so much of not only Tallinn and Estonia’s history but also the cultural features of this great country and capital. The sense of history in Old Town was very impressive. Any mobility concerns we had were expertly handled and all stops along the tour took into consideration our limitations. Some sights we saw simply involved us remaining seated while Maarja got out, opened the sliding door and explained what we were viewing. The more questions we had the more interesting the tour became for all of us and we felt we gained a tremendous education in a very entertaining manner. We strongly recommend Saku Travel. They provided a great experience and we suggest they be considered first when planning a tour.

Our tour was with Saku Travel Tallinn Private Tours. It could not have been better. They met us at the ferry, drove us in a luxury van to the tour starting point. The woman who led us was friendly, took plenty of time, pointed out all the significant locations, and really knew the area. We would without hesitation recommend Saku Travel to anyone visiting Tallinn.

Our guide Li was terrific. Great command of English, native resident, and knew everything about Tallinn. We had a great day with her. Getting driven directly from the cruise port to the old center of Tallinn was a great bonus.

Maarja gave us an amazing tour of Tallinn. It was my husband’s favorite day of a 12 day trip. Maarja started by sending us a detailed outline of our tour, making sure we got back to our cruise ship on time (critical if you are taking a tour not sponsored by a cruise line). She covered so much of the history of the city, and her own personal history living under the Soviet occupation. It was fascinating, and the city itself is so beautiful! We definitely recommend this tour!

We spent only one day in Estonia, giving us approximately 9 hours to do the tour. Despite the time constraint, we were able to see the highlights of this beautiful city! Our tour guide (Maria) was able to give us a comfortable, insightful and interesting tour. Audience engagement was amazing! the tour was really well planned, not a dull moment. The skilled tour driver, Uri also accommodated us in a van. They even provided water! They were caring and hospitable to us. Our tour was really personalised according to our need Because of them, we fell in-love with Estonia ❤️

Same as all the other reviews you are seeing here. Maarja and Juri provided excellent service. Safe driving, informative guiding. We customized the itinerary and it was no issue. I found a small cafe in the countryside that sounded good. Maarja had never heard of it, so she went there to check it out first and made a reservation. Turned out to be a nice place: Matilda and Ott. Great communication all the way leading up to the trip. Can’t recommend these folks enough.

What a wonderful tour of Tallin!! We booked a 6.5 hour custom private, wheelchair accessible tour for our family of 5 with Saku Travel. Maarja was our tour guide and she met us at the cruise terminal, as we were on a cruise of the Baltic Sea and Tallinn was one of our port stops. Maarja made the whole experience so special and was super nice and sweet. She went out of her way to make the tour very personalized for us, and she was very prepared with photos and knowledge of Tallinn and its history. She made sure to take us to areas that were wheelchair accessible for my 82 year old mother-in-law, and we saw all of the top sites (Old Town, Toompea Hill, Alexander Nevski Cathedral, Kadriorg Park & Palace, Town Hall Square and Pharmacy, and Seaplane Harbor to name a few). Also stopped for an amazing Estonian lunch at Komeet Cafe. Juri was our driver, and he was so friendly as well and helped us all in and out of the van, as well as getting the wheelchair out and ready at all stops. Just top notch customer service all around and a quality tour!! The communication from Maarja before, during and even in follow-ups after the tour, was outstanding and again, very personalized. This tour was a highlight of our travels in the Baltic area, and it was such a great value and experience. Thanks to Maarja and Juri for such an amazing time and it was a joy to spend the day with both of them.

This is a long long long overdue review. Travel was back in May 2019. We did a 6hr private tour with a family of 5 consisting 2 seniors and 2 young kids. A most wonderful & memorable time in Tallinn with our sincere and caring guides Maarja & Jüri. Maarja understands what I am looking for in our tour. Besides covering the must see places, she ensure the tour is not too hectic for my parents and my 2 girls. Do yourself a favour and book with Maarja Laiapea with Saku Travel. Here are some thoughts: -extremely great value for what we received. We pre-planned exactly what we wanted to do and what we didn't want to do. If you are not sure, they will have a great itinerary -Katherine's summer palace grounds and Old Town were excellent.We really enjoyed a stop where they had old soviet statues -Maarja really made our family feel comfortable and she was very patient with our questions. She was excellent. -the shopping at the cruise port was actually very good with excellent prices. Our family spent the most money at these vendors.

All the great stuff people write is true. It's a perfect and in my mind the only way to see Tallinn on a short time frame. Maarja is super and lots of fun to tour with. The pace for us was perfect and we gained so much more than had we walked around on our own. Don't hesitate; book a tour with Saku and enjoy a stress free tour of this spectacular city.

I won’t rewrite what others have already posted as I totally agree. Maarja and Juri provided a wonderfully interesting tour for us. She included us in deciding what we would like to see. I highly recommend Saku for a personalized and non-group tour. I especially loved hearing the personal stories of growing up in Estonia and life under Soviet rule.

We took the private Accessible tour of Tallinn, with Maria & Juri. Both were wonderful! Since we were in a car, we were able to see both the lower town and toompea hill. Maria spoke excellent English, and had a thorough knowledge of Tallinn’s history & sites. Tallinn was a pleasant surprise for me on this cruise. So glad we chose Saku for our tour.

We booked this for our short visit in Tallinn during a cruise at the Baltic sea. Maarja was the contact person and she did an excellent job in preparing an itinerary for us. After few exchange of emails mentioning our interest a sone clarifications she ended up with a schedule that I can now say that it gave us a nice overview of Tallinn. Not to forget to mentioned that her restaurant suggestion was excellent and she also arranged the booking for us. Our guide Tiiu was very nice, polite, informative and fluent in english. We had a very pleasant time with her and we really enjoy our tour. I recommend this especially for cruise travelers with limited time in Tallin because Tallin is not only the old town!
