About
Budapest’s best sites are fairly spread out, but you can cover a huge portion of the city in less than 3 hours on a fun and eco-friendly Segway tour. Avoid a long hot walk or getting stuck in crowds as you glide smoothly along the sidewalk on a personal electric scooter. The self-balancing machines let you climb the hills of Buda without breaking a sweat and stop easily in front of landmarks like the Chain Bridge to hear your guide’s commentary.

- D1630TKrichardl0 contributionsYellow Zebra Bike Tour Oct 24Excellent bike tour along the Danube. A two and a half hour guided bike tour along the banks of the Danube and over the Margaret and chain bridges. Regular stops and interesting and well informed briefing by my excellent guide Nour. I enjoyed this more than any other activity during my 5 days in Budapest. I am in my sixties and my friends didn’t fancy it so I was on my own and a little worried about keeping up, although I am a regular cyclist. I need not have worried as the going is very flat and easy, and Nour was leading at just the right pace. I was also always confident that Nour had both my and his own safety in mind at all times and felt we exploited the cycle lanes network and Nour’s excellent signalling of the way meant I was never worried about anything but enjoying the view . Because Margaret island was closed due to flooding Nour took me on unscheduled stop to see the Opera House Shout out to Yellow Zebra. It turned out I was the only person who had booked the tour. Some less professional companies would have cancelled the tour but Yellow Zebra ran it with just me on it. Thanks to Yellow Zebra and thanks to Nour.Written 19 October 2024

My friend and I loved this experience. Our guide, Beka, was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He was also very funny which made the tour extra enjoyable. The segways are really fun to ride and I would recommend this kind of tour to everyone, particularly this tour of the beautiful city of Budapest.

Not only was it an exciting way to explore the city, but it also offered a unique perspective of its historic sites and charming streets. Our guide, Argen, was incredibly knowledgeable, pointing out hidden gems and sharing stories that truly brought the city's history to life. The Segway itself was easy to operate, even for a first-timer like my kids, and allowed us to cover a lot of ground in a short time. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience Budapest in a fun and interactive way. A big thank you to the team for making our visit so memorable

Fantastic way to start our 4 days in Budapest. Our tour guide was great fun, very knowledgeable and talked us through all the sites as we travelled on our 2.5hrs tour.
We started off in a small practise area until we all found our feet and learnt how to use the segways, only when everyone felt comfortable did we start off.
Doing this tour first meant we could actually tick off some things from our list straight away while getting a feel for the city and finding our bearings.
I am an Independent Travel Agent and will happily promote this tour to my clients travelling to Budapest.
Highly recommended 👌

Neither my partner or I had been on a Segway before, so I was really excited to try it.....and see the sights of the city at the same time! It was a complete surprise for my partner, as she would have been completely stressed out at the thought of it!!
We were part of a group of about 8 people, under the supervision and guidance of Arash, who was an excellent instructor and guide. After a short intro to the Segways and whatever practice time you needed to feel comfortable, we set off en convoy around the city. Arash was very careful to include everyone and kept an eye on those who were less sure of themselves at the start, but before long, everyone had built their confidence on the Segways to get around the locations very comfortably.
We stopped frequently, at all the key sites, where Arash gave a clear and informative brief on each of the places of interest, as well as providing a very helpful broader view of the culture and history of Hungary.
This was a really great way to see the city and all of it's highlights, as well as a fantastic new experience on the Segways.....and my partner absolutely loved it, after she got over the initial fear and trepidation!!
The tour lasted 2 and a half hours (after the initial briefing/practice) and seemed to fly by......but did get very cold (-3 degrees) for the last half hour when the sun went down, so wrap up!

Traveling on a balance bike is a very interesting experience. Hufa is a very competent guide, the tour is clear and ensures everyone's safety. The only regret is that part of today's itinerary is repeated with another experience I had the day before. And the tour is simpler and there are no more surprises, so I did not give it a full score.

Our tour guide Hafa was great and insightful! We was able to see the city main sites within a couple of hours and learnt about the history of the place! Would recommend if you want to understand the history of each site instead of just looking and taking photos

We took a Segway tour with a number of other families while we were visiting Hungary for the Olympic hopes Regatta in Szeged. (We had three days in Budapest before leaving for the Regatta.) The night we were supposed to have our Segway tour, it was rainy and the tour guides suggest that we rebook for the following night as our river cruise had been cancelled due to the flooding. We couldn’t have been happier as the tour was so much more enjoyable in dry weather. The three guides we had were all knowledgeable and super friendly.
This was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip. 2 1/2 hours and saw so much of both the Buda and Pest sides. I would absolutely recommend this tour and look forward to participating in other Segway tours in other cities.

We recently took a Segway tour in Budapest, and it was absolutely perfect. Our tour guide, Becca, was brilliant—knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. He made the city’s rich history come alive with his stories and insights. The Segways were easy to use and allowed us to cover more ground than a walking tour. We visited all the major landmarks and some hidden gems, all while enjoying stunning views of the city. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Budapest. It’s an unforgettable experience!

This was my husbands favourite part of our Budapest trip! We did the 90minute highlights guided tour and both thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide (Hafa) gave us lots of interesting facts whilst we were out and about and was very kind and answered any questions we had.
We visited parts of the city we had both completely missed on the previous days we were exploring so it was definitely worth doing.
I was worried I wouldn’t be able to drive the segway easily, but once you are on it for 5 mins you are whizzing around like a pro :) we had lots of fun today and would highly recommend!

This was a perfect way to see Budapest! We went with our two boys (9 and 12) and their grandmother (72). So much fun for all ages. Our tour guide Hafa was the absolute best - engaging and knowledgeable, we all enjoyed learning about the city from him. He was extremely kind and patient, offering a helping and guiding hand to ensure all were comfortable on the Segway. Would absolutely do this again!

What sites does the 2.5 hour tour cover that the 1.5 hour tour doesn't?
Written 18 March 2024
Hello,
Does this start in the city centre, do you know how far the distance to walk from Hard Rock hotel is?
Thank you
Written 9 August 2022
It is City center between the Marriott and Elisabeth bridge in the Pest side, close to the Danube. Not sure how close to Hard Rock.
Written 10 August 2022
Hi, I've seen different tours in the lists. I was wondering what is the difference between 1.5 hours and 2.5 hours one? Could you please provide some itinerary info for these 2? Thanks!
Written 28 March 2022
It is best to check direct with the company. The main difference is likely to be whether you have enough rime to go across the river and up to the Castle. If you are doing the Castle on a separate trip then it's not necessary but if you haven't planned to go up there then you absolutely must one way or another. Hope you enjoy.

Hello! I have an 8 yo and I know the min. age is 10, so is she allowed in the trolley?

I specifically asked if she was able to ride in the trolley that they specified was for young children.

Hello there. trying to book to the 8.7 10:30 2.5 hours segway tour with no success.
Is there any other way to book?
Written 4 July 2019
Hi there - the only other way is to visit the office and make the booking in person, I think.
Obviously, there's the risk that they may be full so you won't get your trip but, to be honest, there's a few of these companies as well as some others (I saw some tour groups on electric scooters and electric carts, which looked awesome!).
Hope this helps.

hello there
can you please send me the departure point exact location?
Written 1 July 2019
I took the tour about 10 days ago. We departed from the tour operator’s office at Vaci Utca 10/2. The storefront isn’t directly on Vaci. It is back in a small courtyard that opens to Vaci.

Is this tour appropriate for a group that includes a one year old (she should be about 15 months old at the time) baby? Is there an extra cost for baby?
Written 2 May 2019
I believe the minimum age is 10 years. I’m not sure you will be able to ride the Segway with the child on your back.
Written 2 May 2019
HI, I´d like to book the 2,5hr tour for three persons. Is it possible to do this as a private tour, so for the three of us ? We would need an English speaking tour guide. Any extra costs or can we do it for 52€ pp, so 156€ in total. Thanks in advance for your reply. Kind regards, EvdT
Written 26 March 2019
Most of the guides speak good English and we had our own tour with only 4 persons. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem if you speak to them when you make your booking.
Hope this helps.
