We can only take you airside if your personal details had been received by us 5 working days in advance, hence the early cut-off deadline.
The tour leaves from Aeropark, the Aviation Museum presenting Soviet-built airliners from the 50s to the early 2000's. Before or after the tour you can visit the museum - it's included. You are our guest for a coffee, tea or soft drink, and we also provide you with a bottle of mineral water each for the tour. We drive airside through security checkpoints. We show you the busy apron of Terminal 2 where we observe aircraft docking after arrival. We explain and show you the complete turn-around process that airplanes undergo between two consecutive flights. We drive out to the arrivals threshold and - leaving the car donning hi-vis tabards and standing within the approach lights - enjoy landing aircraft passing about 60m overhead. We visit the central Crash, Fire and Rescue Station and get acquainted with 1 million EUR special airport fire tenders. We observe take-offs from next to the runway and explain the take-off process from the pilot's point of view. We show you the air cargo and aircraft maintenance areas and the tank farm explaining the details of aircraft fuel loads, consumption etc.
The tour concludes at Aeropark roughly 3 hours after departure.
We suggest a 10am to 1 pm tour, but can accept individual timing requirements as well. (How about doing it just before, during an after sunset? The airport lights provide an unforgettable atmosphere. With very few exceptions, you can take photos almost everywhere!
