    What to Expect
This tour combines a stroll through all 3 floor levels of the Great Market Hall, guiding you through a food section, with opportunities for tastings, and a non-food section both of which embody the rich Hungarian heritage and culture that is expressed through foods and artifacts such as embroidery, porcelain, clothing and the arts & crafts.

You will pick up fresh ingredients for your cooking class and sample Hungarian specialties. The tour is about 90 minutes long.

After the market tour your host will call a taxi and come over to our apartment, cook the dishes you chose (soup, main course, dessert) and eat together what you have cooked. You will finish around 3 pm.

Sadly I did not enjoy this private cooking class and market tour. I found Andrew who took the market tour, self centred and at times unprofessional which made for a long 6 hours. Additionally, the Buda apartment where the cooking class was conducted did not...More

Andrew is a creative chef. We shopped at the Market and after a little retail therapy we created a menu and shopped across the market for the ingredients. We had great fun with the cooking and learnt a few new tricks. Hungarian dishes will now...More

All of the good reviews are true! I had a great day with Andrew and learned so much. Who knew that there was such a thing as "parsley root"; I'd always thought it was a bad translation of "parsnip." They both taste good, but they...More
