Discover Budapest on two wheels on this entertaining 4,5-hour bike tour, complete with a classic Hungarian meal! With an expert guide, enjoy a leisurely bike ride around the city’s cycle lanes and car-free areas to see top Budapest attractions including St Stephen’s Basilica, Parliament and Heroes’ Square and Margaret island. Admire the Chain Bridge, cruise along Andrassy Avenue, and stop at the landmarks to learn about their history. Finish with a lunch of 'goulash' — hearty meat-and-vegetable stew — at an outdoor restaurant. Numbers are limited to 12 maximum for a personalized experience.
You need to be able to ride a bike safely and confidently in a foreign city with traffic and pedestrians around at some stretches. If you are not safe on a bike or have not rode a bike for long years, this is not the tour for you.
  • Explore Budapest like a local on a cycling tour
  • Your guide leads you to safely see the city’s highlights
  • 24-speed bike and helmet are included
  • Small group means plenty of opportunities for conversation and questions
  • Experience local cuisine and refuel with a bowl of Hungarian goulash
What to Expect
Meet in central Budapest, where you listen to a safety briefing. Get set up with a bike and helmet, and then pedal off through the city, taking cycling lanes and flat terrain to ensure a leisurely experience. Listen to guide commentary as you pass highlights including the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Andrassy Avenue, the Opera House, Heroes’ Square, and Vajdahunyad Castle in the City Park. A small group means you can ask your guide plenty of questions as you visit the Szechenyi Baths and St. Stephen’s Basilica. Pedal across the Chain Bridge and gaze out over the Parliament Building. Next up is the UNESCO-listed Buda Castle District where you can snap some photos while your guide sheds light on the political and historical importance of the area. Finish up with a traditional Hungarian goulash lunch before returning to your original departure point.
