- paularR4931XB0 contributionsIncredible tourThe tour was amazing. The cave is breathtaking, one of the most incredible landscapes I've ever seen in my life. The castle is also fabulous, a truly unique structure. Both are must-sees in Slovenia. Our guide, Miguel, was incredible—very competent, friendly, and attentive. Everything went perfectly. I highly recommend this tour to everyone!Written 3 December 2024
- 631alisonk0 contributionsFabulous guide. Excellent trip. I highly recommendPostojna Caves are a must-see when visiting Slovenia. They are spectacular. The combination of the 6km train ride and the 1km walking was perfect. And Predjama Castle is very interesting being built onto the side of the mountain and connected with the cave system. It's unlike any other castle!Written 1 December 2024
- valmac20160 contributionsCastle and Caves worth doingVlad was the most amazing guide. He was charming, informative and funny. The tour of the caves and castle are well worth the trip and Vlad made sure we skipped the queues.Written 30 November 2024

- davidcF695RR0 contributionsReally unique and beatiful experienceThe tour was great, is a really unique experience; different to everything else. Also the guide was friendly and provided us with a lot of information about Slovenia in general. My only suggestion to those who have the time would be to split the tour, do Bled one full day and Postojna another to avoid rushing.Written 14 November 2024
- Tour6253540 contributionsHighly RecomendedI liked that we were just a small goup. Mika, the guide, spoke very good English and was very informative and helpful. I enjoyed it a lot. Highly recommended.Written 12 November 2024
- PWisn5910 contributionsGreat Tour with a Great Tour Guide!!!We really enjoyed this tour, and I would highly recommend the To Do In Slovenia tour company. Our tour guide, Doman, was a great story teller and it made the drive to and from the cave and castle go by quickly. He gave us a lot of good historical information about the cave and castle. Note: It's important to wear stable/slip resistant shoes or this tour. Some of the areas are a bit slick and there are some steep steps to climb.Written 12 November 2024
- pamelasD807SD0 contributionsAmazingThe guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. Amazing and unique places to see. Very enjoyable so I would recommend it. Good value for moneyWritten 8 November 2024
- dbasa0070 contributionsInteresting visit of Cave and CastleI would definitely recommend this half a day trip. Our tour guide Kaya and behind the wheels Marjan were excellent. Kaya was very engaging with our group and did not made us feel bore at any point. She was very informative and friendly. Visiting the cave was unique experience and is recommended if someone would like to see a different world. Predjama Castle was ok. I would say the castle view was scenic however there was not much to discover inside the castle.Written 5 November 2024
- Andrew F0 contributionsShort but worthwhile day tripThis was a tour with a group of 8 people. Our guide was Igor. Of the 3 day trip tours out of Ljubljana I took, this one was the shortest. Our guide was both knowledgeable and was able to recommend some nice restaurants from the very affordable to the medium priced when it came to authentic eateries and the recommendations were good. The actual tour ends at 2 PM since there are only 2 places to visit. The good thing is that the tickets are included in the package and they're inclusive of audio guides for the castle and are pre reserved for the time slots. The caves are a must if you're new to viewing caves like I am. The electric rail ride itself was a fun little attraction inside the cave. Yes, for the cost this is a shorter tour than others, but it includes the ticket prices and is very nice and I was able to do an afternoon activity in Ljubljana Castle by myself afterwards so the timing is actually beneficial in some ways if you're tight on time.Written 1 November 2024
- soniabJ1542GT0 contributionsBrochure is misleading!!!!The brochure listed Blend Island, Blend Castle, Traditional Boat Ride, Blend cream cake. None of this is included, if you want to go to the island on the boat it is 18 euro, if you want to see the castle it is 17 euro, no cakes in sight, even at the bakery on the island. If you want to go inside the church on the island it is another 12 euro. Would not recommend this tour, all of us on the bus thought it was a rip off. Also, to take the boat, you have to have cash!Written 30 October 2024
- teresakS6878RX0 contributionsexceeded expectationsBoth the cave and the castle are well worth the visit. Truly spectacular! Our driver, Luka, took care to make certain the passengers had a great time and provided us with interesting information about the country during our drive. One point - The tour guides in the cave each travel with large groups so it can be difficult to hear if you are not close to the front.Written 29 October 2024
- DebbieBrunner0 contributionsGreat day out in SloveniaA really big day out seeing the beautiful countryside of Slovenia. We saw at least 5 waterfalls and springs and enjoyed small hikes to view the scenery. Our guide Presov was excellent (sorry about spelling) and had lots to tell us about Slovenia and took us to many places in a comfortable small bus/van.Written 25 October 2024
- DebbieBrunner0 contributionsGreat walking tourInteresting walk to get to know Ljubljana better from an expert local. Really enjoyed our informative guide Vasco and the area of the old town we covered. We even randomly saw some famous local actors and politicians.Written 24 October 2024

We totally enjoyed this day out. The first stop was Vintgar Gorge where we had an hour and a half to walk through the gorge at our own pace and with time to take photos. The mist over the river and the rainbows over the waterfall were magical. We then had a hour at Lake Bohinj to explore and have a coffee (some people in our group had a swim in the lake). Then it was onwards for the afternoon (3 hours) at Lake Bled. We took a boat to the island and visited the Church of the Assumption - where you can ring the Church bell which sounds across the lake. It had been made clear in the trip details the the cost of the boat trip and church entry are not included - they are optional and others in our group went up to the castle, walked by the lake or had a long lunch.
Our guide/driver, Lana, was brilliant. This was our first full day in Slovenia so Lana’s information about the country as a whole, as well as the places we visited was really helpful. She speaks fluent English and was always happy to answer questions. The timekeeping and general practicalities were all well handled.
Thoroughly recommend this trip.

Elena was an amazing tour guide! She is very knowledge about the country and is more than happy to share. She is very flexible with the itinerary for the day so if you want to stay somewhere longer she does her best to make that work. At first, I was hesitant to do a tour of the bled area because of you can get there by bus, but 100% do the tour. I felt like we did everything and saw everything you could do in the bled area which would have been very difficult without this tour. I did this tour solo and it was an amazing experience! I would recommend it to other people!

We couldn't have asked for more from Lana K, our tour guide. Her English was first class, her knowledge of the local area and Slovenian history, economy, culture and traditions were outstanding. She went out of her way to make sure we had the best day, including finding a lovely spot to enjoy sunset among the Julian Alps. An unforgettable day. Rachael and Amanda

Such a beautiful area of the world! You cannot even believe the beauty that you are seeing. I enjoyed every single location that we visited, I also thought the gorge walk was the perfect way to end. I would have ideally liked slightly longer at the lakes as it felt a bit whirlwind, with like 30 minutes only at lake Bohinj, but I suppose that they really have to try and cram everything in! I would very much recommend this tour, especially as you will see so many beautiful places in one day

Our tour guide Miha was incredibly knowledgeable, accommodating and detail oriented. From telling us about the history of Slovenia to recommending local wine at the lunch table, he went above and beyond throughout the day. He also offered a lot of flexibility on what to do, making a long day very seamless. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Slovenia!

I took this tour last week with our guide Damienj (aka ‘Johnny’) and it was wonderful. Damienj has a great, friendly personality and I learned a lot from him about Ljubljana and Slovenia (even after having taken another To Do In Slovenia tour a couple days before this!). Damienj is a safe driver and very eager to make sure that we all enjoyed ourselves.
I like that we hit Vintgar Gorge first, and enjoyed it with almost no other visitors. It made the experience so enjoyable and made for great photographs! The door to door service before and after the hike through the gorge was really nice. I loved the gorge the most out of the entire day, it was just pretty spectacular and a fun, easy hike.
Bohinj was the second stop and it was a bit sleepy with not a lot to do but walk around the lake, so we ate lunch here and enjoyed the view. It was the perfect length of stop for me here.
We had nearly 4 hours at Lake Bled. I chose to hike up to the castle and walk around the lake, and I had time for that plus a slice of cream cake before and a drink by the lake after all my activities before meeting the group again. You could also take a pletna boat out to the island and back, but that was nearly 2 hours of the time available.
The pickup/drop off location was excellent for me, right outside my hotel.I liked that any admission was pre-paid and the guide just handed us our tickets as needed and off we went.
All around it was a really special day and a highlight of my vacation.

Going to Vintar Gorge when I went was perfect because it was misty, which led to some breathtaking photos. The tour guide was polylingual and very talented with their ability to switch between languages. Understandably, the tour was in English, but the group was very international, with many non-native English speakers. The views of the lakes were amazing, if you go, please do both the castle and lake tours.

A very enjoyable and informative day. Our guide (Vasko ) shared so much information about the places we visited and Slovenia in general. He was very knowledgeable and happy to adapt the trip for the wishes of his group. The lakes including the boat trip were beautiful and we also had a walk in nature to a waterfall. The best photo locations were shown to us. The gorge didn't open yet so we enjoyed the traditional cream cake instead and later had a traditional Slovenian meal in a beautiful restaurant. Our favourite day in Slovenia and thoroughly recommend this trip.

Day starts with Vintgar Gorge to beat the crowds as much as possible then Lake Bled, and finally Lake Bohinj. All spectacular in their own way! We were given about two hours at each place, which was enough time. It was all very relaxed, didn’t feel rushed. Our guide gave us different options at each place, so we had the freedom to explore for ourselves. For example, I took the pletna boat ride to the island on Lake Bled while others in the group went to a viewing point to take photos. It was such a lovely day trip out of Ljubljana. I can’t recommend this tour enough. You get to see three major sights and to enjoy the stunning countryside — brilliant if you’re short on time or you don’t want to hire a car. The tour was well-organised with three pick up points. Pick up was prompt. We were a group of seven and I think the maximum they take is eight, which is a nice manageable size. Cost includes entry to Vintgar Gorge (a must-see). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I wanted to see the natural beauty of the Slovenian Alp region and was enchanted by the trip. I didn’t expect the 90 min walk in the beautiful Vintgar gorge and was very glad to have actually packed my walking stick which proved to be useful as in certain areas, the ground was slightly slippery due to a recent rain shower. I chose to visit the Bled castle rather than do a boat ride on lake Bled, and would have been frustrated if I had wanted to do both because there wouldn’t have been enough time to do both & include time for lunch. Our guide drove very smoothly and was very helpful in helping us better understand the region. I highly suggest this trip for those who appreciate nature’s beauty.

How long do you get at Lake Bled - do you get time on your own to explore?
Written 6 December 2018
Excluding visiting the castle, we had about 2 hrs on our own in Bled to explore, which was plenty of time to go for lunch and take a long stroll. It was very flexible though, so if you wanted longer to get a boat over to the island, you could have done.

Can you get pick up from apartment if full address is given?
Written 17 October 2018
I stayed in an apartment and was asked to travel to a bus stop only 5 minutes' walk away. By all means, see if that's possible but if it's not, you would only be required to walk a short distance.
