Kraków, Kazimierz district and Schindler's Factory Full-Day Trip from Warsaw

By WPT1313 - Warsaw Private Tours
Before the outbreak of the World War II, Poland was inhabited by one of the largest Jewish diasporas in Europe, with a total of about 3.5 million of Jews. They came to Krakow in the 11th century and when the World War II broke out they constituted over 25% of the city's population. Few managed to survive the Nazi extermination, but their religious and cultural achievements can still be admired in Kazimierz, one of the Krakow’s districts, where the Jewish quarter was located. We will start visiting Krakow from the historic Old Town. We will see the delightful main square, and slowly go to the Wawel Hill to see the medieval castle towering over Krakow. From there, we will go to Kazimierz to see the Jewish heritage. There we will have lunch in one of the many cozy cafes. Finally, we will visit the museum located in the former factory of Oskar Schindler, who during the war saved over 1,000 people from being sent to extermination camps.

This trip is NOT to be missed!
My wife and I and our best friends just finished this tour with Marcin. We cannot offer a review that would truly be representative of how wonderful this tour was. We gave it a 5 star review, but would actually give it a 7 out of 5. Not only was Marcin extremely personable, making you immediately feel at ease, but his knowledge and perspective of history was without peer. Marcin has a worldview born of extensive historical study and travel. He not only was able to discuss the history of Poland, and his love for his country, but also the history of my own country that I would dare to suggest far surpasses the majority of my own fellow citizens. I could go on and on with superlatives regarding Marcin, but I will leave it with just this — if you are ever in Warsaw and are thinking of taking a tour, THIS is the one to take. Thank you Marcin for an unforgettable day!

          Lovely overview of old Warsaw
Our guide Hania was excellent for several reasons. Firstly, we had 2 children (pre teens) and she adjusted the itinerary in consultation with us to make it more interesting for them as well. She was very professional and answered all our questions patiently. Lastly, she left us with good recommendations for where to eat and what else to do after the tour. We never felt like she hurried us. The car itself was a bonus. I’m glad it was early in the day, because towards lunch time, it was getting warm and humid. Hanna ensured we stood in the shade while she explained about the places and their history.

          Perfect tour of the city
Karol, my guide was prompt and professional. He was an excellent guide for the city and very knowledgeable. The car was fine for hopping in and out for the several hours of my tour. It was an extremely hot day in Warsaw so it was warm in the car. I would recommend this tour and especially Karol. This is the Jewish quarter tour so it was solely the Jewish areas- just for reference. I loved it but it may not be your preference. Also, you will need to walk during tour.

Great ride in a vintage car, covering the main spots in Warsaw. Karol was a great guide, very knowledgeable about the history of the city.

          Retro Fiat tour around Warsaw
We had an amazing tour with Karol around Warsaw in a retro Polish built Fiat. We got to see a lot of Warsaw over the four hour tour, and learnt so much of Warsaw’s history in that time. Would highly recommend the tour.

Had a blast driving around the city with Konrad as a guide, with a perfect mix of history and driving. He was also more than happy to adjust the tour to our needs.

A lot more to see than we expected. Well laid out with easygoing walking paths and displays. Very interesting.
A very pleasant drive through the Polish countryside side in a nice minivan with plenty of stops along the way for food or restrooms. Marcin our guide was well spoken in English and very accommodating and did not rush us. He made the effort to make conversation for the entire trip. We would highly recommend this trip and Marcin. Thanks for a memorable day.

A Touching Memorial and Wonderful Guide
Our tour of Treblinka with Marcin Hilgier was a highlight of our trip to Europe and something we won't soon forget. Marcin is a true pro - intelligent, thoughtful, courteous and extremely knowledgeable on all things Poland and Treblinka. Our family learned a lot from Marcin and appreciated our time with him especially as it relates to his perspective and understanding of the horrors and atrocities of Treblinka. We highly recommend this tour and Marcin. From the transportation and tour to the lunch on the way home and our conversations with Marcin, all aspects of this experience were top-notch.

          Highly recommend
Marcin was a wonderful guide. Was very knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. Driving in the fiat was fun. We decided on a tour over doing it alone and so happy we did. Got to see so much more and get more insight then if we did it ourselves. Highly recommend this tour.

The car arrived at our appointed time & he drove carefully describing each place as we went by
Everything was exactly as was planned. Tour guide Karal was most knowledgeable & seemed to very much enjoy relating it us. He was a very good driver & was most courteous to pedestrians & motorist. He was very chatty & pleasant at all times & made sure we were pleased at each place we stopped. He had a very good knowledge of the english language & spoke clearly.

          Great time with Fiat 126p
We got the tour with Fiat 126p about times of PRL. The guide, Karol, was great, he talked with passion and we were really interested in all the stories. We can fully recommend that tour. 👌🏻

Great way to be introduced to Warsaw
Excellent retro taxi tour. Karol was a very safe and knowledgeable guide (being a PhD student in history obviously helped his enthusiasm!). Took in all the best parts, a mix of driving and short walks to the key areas and sights. Recommended.
