A wonderful day creating wonderful memories!
My wife, our son (age 14), and I went on the private John Paul II tour with Christopher. Simply put, it was an amazing experience! So much to soak in, to appreciate, to reflect upon. But we were only able to truly immerse ourselves in the day because we had Christopher as our guide. To have no worries about how to get places, where to park, which doors to enter, etc., meant that we could fully engage in the purpose of our trip -- to walk in the footsteps of St. John Paul II and St. Faustina. Beyond taking care of all the day's details, Christopher also provided a warmth that made our tour all the more enjoyable. His knowledge of the subject matter, as well as of Polish history and geography, provided great context for our journey. Best of all, he's just incredibly likeable! We will always remember this special day and recommend the tour 100%!

The best trip of my life!
I cannot say enough about the amazing experience that my family and I had on our recent trip to Poland. I had the pleasure of meeting Christopher Skutela PhD from Private Tours Krakow a few years ago. We hadn’t booked in advance for Auschwitz and the Salt Mines, and he was able to put together a day that was memorable and eye opening. We kept in touch because I wanted to plan a trip with my family to Poland given our heritage. My father can be a bit challenging at times and isn’t a big traveler. However, each day he said, “How can it get any better than today?!” He and my mother were blown away by the itinerary, customization and knowledge that Christopher shared. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel many places around the world, but I have to say that this was probably the best trip that I’ve ever been on. To see my parent’s faces, light up when we visited the town where my grandfather was born or the Black Madonna where he went to pray before leaving for the US was unforgettable. I cannot recommend Private Tours Krakow enough. Having a private guide was absolutely incredible and the way to go. Christopher and his team are true professionals with endless knowledge that is shared through stories and real-life experiences. If you have a day or a week, please utilize the services of Private Tours Krakow to get the best experience you can while in Poland.

Amazing!
Our tour guide was Catherine and she was very smart, friendly, informative and very knowledgable! She stayed with us to help us pick out and order our food. Lucyna was the one we coordinated with, and she emailed us almost immediately after booking the tour to plan our pick up from the airport and the van to hold our luggage with the possibility to extend the tour and drop us off at a local/traditional restaurant!

Excllent tour
We toured Auschwitz on Monday, August 5, 2019. We were very apprehensive about touring Auschwitz because we had relatives perish there. But both Lucyna, who made our arrangements, and Tom, our driver, were reassuring, kind, and very professional. Tom is extremely knowledgeable and he told us much of the history on our way there. Once there, Tom pointed out specific sites that were important to us, including the ramps and streets where our relatives were brought in. Lucyna helped us throughout the entire week when we had questions, via email, and even when I called her. She was very patient with us! We had a wonderful trip, with many thanks to Lucyna and Tom. When we return, I will ask for them to guide us again.

Professional guide and service
We were looking forward to our visit to Auschwitz and Birkenau but were worried about the crowds but Christopher organised a private tour which was extremely well organised and educational. On our way to the museum (in a very comfortable car) Christopher was a fountain of knowledge explaining all aspects of Poland history and contemporary life. Christopher was very professional and accommodating and we highly recommend him and his team for private tours in Poland.

Amazing last minute service.
We found ourselves with an unexpected free day in Warsaw and had always wanted to visit Auschwitz. In summer especially, the camp tours can be nearly impossible to access without prior arrangement of at least a couple of days. Walk-up visitors are faced with very long queues. We hopped a 9a train to Krakow arriving just before noon. On arrival we contacted several tour agencies and were told that a visit with such last-minute notice was not possible. Finally I cold-called Christopher. He asked us to wait about 30 minutes while he attempted to locate a guide for us. Remarkably, he texted back a half hour later and said that he had found us a guide, private transport and tickets to access the camp tours. The private transport and guide was outstanding and everything was perfectly on-time and well executed. This is the go-to place for first class treatment and a truly competent and knowledgeable operation.

Absolutely wonderful
Our driver Thomas was exceptional giving us great information as well as sprinkling it with humor and warmth. Really, we learned as much from him as the guide in Auschwitz/Birkenau and his English was most understandable and full of fun. Christopher managed to get us into the camps at the last minute for which we are most grateful. His persistence and availability was remarkable. My husband and I recommend this company without hesitation.

Krakow, Auschwitz, Saltmines and Zackopano
While traveling with my work colleague on a business trip, we took a 2.5 extra days to see southern Poland. Private Tours Krakow took care of all our needs very well. Communication was excellent. They recommended an excellent hotel in city center. His first guide picked us up at the airport and we started a tour immediately. They drove us in a nice private car or van to each destination. We also had a walking tour of Krakow the final morning and then they delivered us to the airport. In all we had 3 different guides and they were all very nice, knowledgable and professional. The tour in Auschwitz was a group tour with headsets due to the number of tourists, but that was fine. I can definitely recommend Christopher and Private Tours Krakow.

Excellent Service
We were in Krakow for a short stay with two of our teenaged grandchildren. Christopher arranged a walking tour of the city, a trip to Auschwitz/Birkenau, a restaurant reservation and an airport transfer for us. Everything was absolutely top notch. The guides were knowledgeable and very personable making all our tours first class. Everybody arrived on time, even the 4.15 a.m. taxi to the airport. I would highly recommend Private Tours Krakow.

Perfect Krakow walking tour
My friend and I took a Krakow walking tour with Christopher and it was one of the best. Christopher is extremely knowledgeable, very eloquent, interesting and entertaining. He met us at the hotel timely, presented us a map of our trip and spent more time with us than it planned. He made our trip unforgettable. We had only two days to explore Krakow and go to Auschwitz and it was definitely not enough. We will come again and book a couple of more tours with Christopher.

Outstanding tour of Krakow, Zakopane, and Auschwitz with Christopher!
We spent 3 very full days getting to know Krakow and the surrounding areas with the help of our amazing guide, Christopher. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history and culture of Poland. He was flexible, organized, and always with a sense of humor. We had some tricky requests regarding wheelchairs and limited walking for my elderly father and Christopher was always able to make things work for us. We could not have done it without him! We would love to come back! Thank you again for making this trip special for our family!
