Day Trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Wieliczka Salt Mine from Krakow including Lunch
US$ 83.36
Overview
Tick off two of Krakow’s top attractions in just one day on a hassle-free day trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum and the Wieliczka Salt Mine. As well as guaranteeing your entry to both of these often sold-out landmarks, this tour includes all entrance fees, hotel pickup, and lunch. Plus, during the journey to Auschwitz, stay occupied with an onboard documentary about the Nazi concentration camp.
What to Expect

Your tour begins with hotel pickup in the morning. Once aboard your air-conditioned coach, watch a documentary about the Nazi concentration camps of Europe.

On arrival at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, join a tour with an official guide, and learn about the history of the Holocaust. Then, transfer to Birkenau, the neighboring complex, to continue your tour with the same guide.

In between the two attractions, enjoy a boxed lunch.

For the second part of the day, explore the UNESCO-listed Wieliczka Salt Mine, one of the oldest working salt mines in the world. Descend to the subterranean tunnels via a wooden stairway, and explore chambers filled with salt carvings and statues.

This guided tour concludes with drop-off at your Krakow hotel.

Well organised trip

Brilliant trip. Well organised from start to finish, the free lunch was also decent as well. Good value for money all in all, would recommend to anyone.

Very well organized, punctual and with excellent guides

We book a tour prior to our visit to Krakow and we were amused how well the things went. 12 hours before the tour the pick up time was clearly communicated via e-mail and driver was exactly at that time in front of our apartment....More

Tour company

Visiting Auschwitz and the Salt Mines is a must and covered by many others elsewhere however note that this tour company is simply a taxi service. Not a bad taxi by any means but there are a couple of things that could be improved. Please...More

Must see sites to visit, tour company can improve

So it seems best to separate the review of the sites from the review of the company. I'm not sure I can add anything to what others have eloquently written about the power of visiting Auschwitz. You can read about it, watch movies and even...More

Amazing

Choosing a company to do the Auschwitz Birkenau tour with the salt mines was not an easy job as there are so many companies offering the same package! But I can’t even start to tell how lucky I was for picking Kraków shuttle. Booking was...More

The grand Sheraton is the best hotel in town. We have stayed there twice with 1st class service. Also, it it quieter since it is not on a busy street. I passed by the Radisson Blue, which did look promising.

I thought the tour guide was joking when he said about paying to take photos in the salt mine - was I supposed to pay for real?

Hi, I'm not sure, but I imagine that if you book just Auschwitz tour without the Salt Mines you could spend longer there, but I imagine a lot of tour groups will allocate a specific amount of time. There are lots of peeple... More
