Your trip to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum will begin in the city center or at your hotel in Krakow.
After a 1.5-hour drive, you'll arrive and begin your 3-hour tour of the museum. Visit Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau, where you'll find crematoriums and gas chambers, as well as loading and unloading ramps, and wooden and brick barracks, the former of which is entered through the iconic gate inscribed with Arbeit Macht Frei (Work Sets You Free). Visitors can see some surviving barracks and the ruins of gas chambers and crematoriums.
At the end of the route is where you’ll encounter the Monument to International Victims of Fascism. Your tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum is guided by experienced professionals who will tell you all about the history of the area and many interesting facts about World War II.

It is a shared tour. There were 4 of us (2 in my group and they picked up another couple), but when you arrive at Auschwitz-Birkenau you join a larger group. I am not certain what the maximum number of persons are. When we were at our hotel waiting to be picked up, we saw others whose drivers/tours never showed up. Our experience was excellent.
