Cesky Krumlov Day Trip from Prague

Overview

Visiting the UNESCO-listed town of Cesky Krumlov from Prague on your own means hiring a car or juggling trains or buses. Save yourself the hassle on this full-day tour, which includes comfortable coach transport and the opportunity to see all the highlights. Enjoy admission to Cesky Krumlov Castle (April-October), a visit to Church of St. Vitus, a guided walk in the medieval old town, and an included lunch (November-March only).

What to Expect

After morning pickup in central Prague, relax in a comfortable, air-conditioned coach and admire South Bohemia’s countryside as you journey to Cesky Krumlov.

On arrival in this UNESCO-protected town, head for its showpiece: 13th-century Cesky Krumlov Castle. On a rocky outcrop carved by the Vltava river, this picture-book fortress commands sweeping views of the old, red-roofed town below.

Explore the rich interiors (April-October) as your guide charts the castle's history, or enjoy an included lunch in the town in winter (November-March).

Take a guided stroll in the old town and enjoy the opportunity to view Church of St. Vitus, another of Cesky’s landmarks and home to a stunning baroque altar.

Finally, use your ample free time to delve into the town as you wish: perhaps people-watching from a sidewalk cafe and shopping for souvenirs. Your trip ends with a drop-off in central Prague.

A Gem

It was truly a magical experience! The city of Cesky Krumlov is a city from fairy tales books, its narrow streets, houses with the typical reddish tile roofs, roads, church (absolutely gorgeous),it was like you went back in time.... super nice people and good food....More

It is a town from fairy tales

We had such a wonderful time at Cesky Krumlov. We went for a day but a family can easily spend 2 days and 1 night. Just walk around the place, the town is nothing like we have ever seen. Then there is boating to do....More

Good Potential - Awful Execution

I’m literally sitting on the bus riding back to Prague from Cesky Krumlov and this tour. Operated for Viator by Martín Tours, it is the single worse excursion I’ve ever taken with Viator. Don’t get me wrong, Cesky Krumlov is beautiful and well worth seeing...More

The Tour group still says it is a 10 hour trip. 3 hours or so to travel there, 3 hours or so of looking around and a return journey in the afternoon which could take 4 hours. The only thing that is certain is the departure... More

They collected me from where I was staying at 8.30am. We then proceeded to the pick up area outside the main train station and collected another couple. The travel to Cesty Kromlov takes around 3 hours. The bus is... More
