Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- MiamiMaria1230 contributionsLeon the guide is the best!Leon is THE BEST guide! You must do this tour and you must request Leon! I won't give away all of his surprises and secrets along the way, but he will show you all of the Blue Mountains especially the nooks and crannies that you will never find on your own. 10/10Written 25 November 2024
- Jet169272013060 contributionsMay be cancelled on you when you’re at the meeting pointMake sure you call them the morning of your tour before you head up or you may find yourself driving over an hour and a half for nothing. Drove from Bondi up to the meeting point, thought they might be running late, called to make sure we were at the right place only to be told the tour was cancelled. Operator claims an email was sent, none was received. No contact by phone was made either - except when I called them. Now I guess I spend some more time figuring out how I get a refund.Written 25 November 2024

- Curious203541404080 contributionsA scenic bush walk, tropical rainforest and wild animal adventure through the beautiful Blue MountainsWe were greeted by Paul at 8.30am with a warm Aussie smile. We didn’t know what to expect on this trip as Paul would figure out what we would like to do and drive us to his favourite local look out spots. They didn’t disappoint. We were taken to the Butter box point - for a great bush walk with fabulous views. The flora, fauna and rock formations were an insight into the world pre animal! Wow we were mesmerised by its sheer scale. Point piltcher - lunch was included and we grabbed a drink and sandwich from the local deli. Headed to a lookout point to enjoy a spot of lunch. Coachwood glen rainforest - we wanted to see the tree ferns and there were a-lot to see. A carpet of beautiful plants. Dunphies camp ground megalong valley - kangaroos and Echidna ant eater . We had a brilliant time andcweee looked after all day.Written 2 February 2024

He gave us an experience that we would not have gotten any other way! Rocks, flowers, birds, history, geography and current events all rolled into one fantastic adventure! Paul assessed what we wanted to do and how to best do it! Full day of fun and yet totally relaxed!Written 28 January 2024

- Craig T0 contributionsAwesome experience and a must do.Fantastic experience & a real highlight for our holiday. It was great to get of the beaten track a bit and escape the hustle and bustle of the more visited tourist areas. Paul was a fantastic guide, and is very passionate with a great knowledge of the area. He was a delight to spend the day with. Would totally recommend this trip as a must do!Written 9 August 2023
- JanG8340 contributionsThe highlight of my visit to AustraliaPaul and Stef are a terrific team. They brought us to areas, such as the Lost City, which are unavailable to many tours because a 4WD is needed to access these remote areas. I felt safe climbing in places I might have avoided if not for the guidance of Paul and Stef. And my first 4WD experience was GREAT! I can't recommend this tour enough if you wish to have a unique and unforgettable experience in the Blue Mountains.Written 17 April 2023
- Lexsun06040 contributionsUnfrogettable TourPaul was an excellent guide who has a great passion with his work and has a lot of knowledge about the area and the nature surrounded. To be honest I'm not an outdoor person and never be adventurous but he adjusted our level straight away and his skillful driving made us very comfortable even on off roads. If you are adventurous he is also a person who can make you experience amazing things. I found his tour online and we couldn't stop being grateful to find his tour. We never expected our mini holiday this much. He made our trip unforgettable. His tour is absolutely exceptional!Written 23 March 2023
- V S0 contributionsSuch an amazing day!GUIDED 4WD ADVENTURE TOUR My husband and I cannot recommend this tour enough. We got to see so many unique spots that we otherwise would never be able to get to on our own. Paul is extremely knowledgeable and he made sure we had a fantastic time. We were collected from our hotel and headed to a beautiful bakery where we chose our sandwiches and drinks for lunch. These were packed into the esky at the back of the Landrover. Then we set off. What a journey! The most inhospitable terrain was no problem – I was glad I was sitting in the back and not driving- Paul wasn’t fazed by anything. He navigated through whatever lay ahead – water, over rocks, down deeply scarred tracks which had been washed away by rains – not even roads in some places! Such skill from Paul, great fun to be a passenger! Crazy video to watch later! We loved getting to the plateau overlooking the rocky pagoda-like structures. Such an amazing place to be. After retracing our steps, we then headed towards the Wollemi National Park through a tunnel which used to have trains going through. We stopped for lunch on the other side of this, near to pagoda rock formations – they were lining the roadway. Then we set off for the Glow Worm Tunnels in the Wiradjuri area of the Wolgan Valley. There was a short walk from the car park to an information board showing the route to the tunnel. Once we were inside, Paul told us to turn off the torches. At first, nothing could be seen. Once our eyes had become accustomed to the darkness, tiny lights appeared all over the walls and ceiling – looking like a tiny Christmas Village! An amazing spectacle to witness. We headed back towards Katoomba after this. Stopping at Blacktown to see the Wind eroded Cave and Anvil Rock. We would never have found this area on our own. Well worth a visit and not advertised anywhere on the tourist information leaflets or maps. Thank you Paul for taking us to the most amazing sights during our day with you. Thank you for sending us the photos too - they were incredible.Written 14 March 2023

- nicolabU3343TF0 contributionsI recommend this to EVERYONEThank you Paul I had such a great afternoon I didn't book this, I was walking by and saw the truck and my nosey inquisitive nature made me stop and ask Paul what it was all about. After telling me it was a tour to spots you may otherwise not get to see and that there was 1 space left.... I hopped on. And boy am I glad I'm a nosey inquisitive person as it was an amazing afternoon with some totally jaw dropping views. Very knowledgeable, super friendly and all round interesting guy. I would 100% recommend this to ANYONE AND EVERYONE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Written 2 January 2023

Amazing tour guides who are also genuinely good people delivering a high quality experience that will be the highlight of your time in the Blue Mountains
Had the best fun and felt looked after and valued the entire way through. Even though it was foggy, Paul and Wolf went out of their way to create a tour that would work for us and to make sure we were happy and actually saw some sites. They found a way to make sure we saw the Lost City and it was the highlight of our trip to the Blue Mountains.

This was one of the best tours we have ever been on. Paul was a fantastic guide - took us to the most amazing look out spots away from the crowds, took photos of us, took care of us, helped us around and told us about the geology and plant life, all absolutely fascinating. The views were awe inspiring and he gave us plenty of time to take them in and appreciate the beauty of each place before moving on to the next spot.
We couldn't recommend Paul and this tour highly enough - the absolute highlight of our visit to the Blue Mountains and so much more of a genuine experience than a standard bus tour. The army truck was comfortable and so much nicer to be in the fresh air with a permanent view between stops than stuck on a crowded air conditioned coach.
We had great fun and learned a lot at the same time. Paul was courteous and professional throughout, highly knowledgeable and passionate about this beautiful area.
It is a day we will never forget. 10/10 all round!

Not your average tour of the Blue Mountains. An unique experience from the back of an ex-army troop carrier. Paul our guide was excellent. He took us to view points of the Jamison and Megalong Valleys not normally gone to by the general public. and the weather was perfect which added to the experience . Looking directly out over the valleys and escarpments as you drove along instead of have to look either left or right out of a bus or car window gave you a different perspective and it was nice not having to concentrate of the road/track . To top our day off he took us to a lovely rainforest walk.
We would thoroughly recommend this tour even if you have been up to the Blue Mountains before like us and a must if you are from out of time or have visitors from out of town.
Thanks again Paul

This tour of the Blue Mountains is amazing, our family really enjoyed it. Our guide Leon was great, he showed us some great trails, which lead to amazing views of the Blue Mountains and surrounding area. The kids (and adults too) loved traveling in the Wombat truck, such a unique vehicle and well suited for this tour!

We enjoyed the tour overall, but the guide was more of a driver than a proper guide, lacking in local knowledge and interesting facts. A very gentle nice man but we were keen to learn much more, facts about the national park, its history, its wildlife, flora, fauna and national significance. We also found it disappointing to spend 40 minutes of the tour on the highway we'd just driven up in an off road vehicle, which we expected to go off road in. More time in the park itself would have been more appropriate.

We are a group of 5 friends from Singapore. Highly recommend this tour with Paul for a unique adventure. We actually did a 5 hour tour that ended with watching the beautiful sunset. Paul was passionate, friendly and eager to share his knowledge. He took us to breathtaking sites and the experiences were beautiful and memorable. Steph was such a delight to be with as well.
An added benefit - Paul was also a great photographer with keen eyes. We had many beautiful photos taken by him.

The Beyond the Black Top tour was great! They took me and my family to places not often visited by tourists, like wind eroded cave and anvil rock. They also showed us local flora and fauna, like the mountain devil, flannel flower and a lookout where you could only hear bellbirds Paul was also great as a tour guide, as he was funny and informative. Would give 6/5 if possible.

What a fun, adventurous and informative 3 hours we had with our fabulous guide Paul. This trip was a great way to see some areas of the blue mountains. Paul was incredibly friendly, very helpful and funny (but not as funny as us) :). There was 7 of us on this trip and we had the best time. Paul takes you to places where there are minimal people and the scenery is just breathtaking. Do yourself a favor and jump on the jeep tour. We can't thank you enough Paul. - Annie, Meg, Barb, Suzie, Trace, Claire and Fiona

Absolutely loved this tour with Paul in his ex-army, military-grade SUV. My husband and I had visited the Blue Mountains many times before, but Paul introduced us to lots of awesome new spots off the beaten track that we’d never seen. We even saw an echidna feasting on an ant’s nest! Very knowledgable guide. Highly recommend. 😊😊😊

Even as a Sydney local, Paul was very informative with the tour and I was able to learn a great deal about the Blue Mountains. Great experience sitting in the truck for panoramic views. Paul took us to locations off the beaten path; giving more unique views. Must do when in Blue Mountains.
