Such a great time!! Have done before and would do again. We always take any overseas guests we have here and everyone always has a great time. We even went right at the end of Winter and it was epic.

Our family friendly rafting trip was a blast today! Can't recommend this experience highly enough. Take your kids and expect to all have a brilliantly fun day! Our kids are 8, 10, 12 and 15 and they all loved it. The adults also had a whale of a time!

Excellent trip out on the Kaituna. Shoutout to Cam & Nev who took us out. Our trip was part of a Stag weekend, and the banter was great and the Stag certainly got a good drenching. The lads were all buzzing afterwards. Will definitely be back again.

The guides were knowledgeable, ensuring our safety while also making the trip incredibly fun. The scenery was breathtaking, with lush greenery along the riverbanks. The rapids were thrilling yet manageable, perfect for both beginners and experienced rafters. This was a brilliant and exciting tour with some excellent guides. They knew the river inside out and were great fun to have on the boat!

Pick up and drop of from accommodation was no hassle. All gear is provided to keep you warm. The guides were knowledgeable, fun and most importantly you felt safe with them. The rapids were super fun with plenty of games thrown in, a chance to swim through rapids and going over 3 waterfalls was awesome! Adrenaline filled, once in a life time experience, would 100% recommend!

Amazing way to spend an afternoon and evening. Nice kayak trip across the lake, followed by a good soak in the hot pools - what a hidden little treasure! Followed by a tasty barbecue dinner - by chef Justin. Our guide, Justin, had lots of stories and historical facts about the area, so it wasn't all about exercise - thank you, Justin. The return trip across the lake was magical: the sunset light, the glow-worms cave, the paddling under the moon and stars. An excursion to remember - we'll return for more of the same!

Had a great time. Guides were great. Safety was always top of mind but still made sure we had fun. Its a fairly short section of river with only a few good rapids so don't expect the same experience as a full day on the Zambizi River but still worth the money. The big waterfall drop is definitely exciting. I would recommend to anyone as a fun addition to your visit to Rotorua.

This was a truly amazing kayak trip. The paddle across Lake Rotoiti in both directions was fun and beautiful and the soak in the hotsprings upon our arrival on the other side was just fabulous. We pretty much had the place to ourselves which is hard to come by these days. We were also lucky in the sunset was so beautiful and we were able to enjoy it while eating a delicious BBQ dinner made by our guide, Justin. On our way back across the lake, we enjoyed clear skies prett much no wind, making for such an easy paddle. The best part, however, was the ending - easing into a little cave full of gloworms hanging from the ceiling then floating back out into a night full of sparkling stars. So very beautiful. River Rats gave us a tour that was beyond our expectations, from great and thoughtful gear, to an informative guide, and an amazing time experiencing some of New Zealands unique and fabulous natural features.

This is by far our favorite excursion we’ve done on our vacation! We enjoyed the simplicity of the safety rules and guidelines (AKA, just hold onto the boat and the rest doesn’t matter 🤪) They provide wetsuits, wet shoes, and fleece gear as well which was cool. The photo package at the end was for a great price for ~150 pics! It was also hilarious that our entire raft, including our guide, were all American! Our guide, Zach, was phenomenal! He was patient, educated us well, and had super fun banter and humor throughout the entire event. The waterfall is DEFINITELY worth the hype, by the way! Can’t recommend this enough!

Great place and an amazing ride. Just 3 on raft was great. We stayed upright but 2 rafts with a different company provided real entertainment.

Despite the nerve-wracking safety talks, once we hit those rapids, it was an adrenaline rush like no other! And the scenery? Absolutely stunning! This adventure showcases the unparalleled beauty of our country in the most exhilarating way possible. And that heart-pounding finale with the massive waterfall? It was the perfect climax to an unforgettable journey! While I've shared this spot with friends before, experiencing it myself was an absolute game-changer! Incredible experience, first time rafting and I immediately felt the love for it. Justin & Zeeta were THE BEST. From Justin's base and intro talks, to Zeeta's safety talk - we felt safe and informed from the jump. Couldn't have been in better hands, Justin's experience and leadership skills are second to none. The tidbits about the local landscape and nature had me feeling connected to the Kaituna. An experience I won't be forgetting. He even cut moments of tension and nervousness with his knee-slapping kiwi humour and work stories. Apologies, forgot name of the photographer, massive bravo to that guy for such professional capturing of our memories. Excited to return in future for more good times :D Mitch
