          A unique experience.
This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand. We loved the thermal features and the cultural experience. It was a unique day! FlexiTours handles all of the logistics to ensure that everyone can do what they want. It seemed like a complicated way to coordinate things, but it all worked somehow.

          Would recommend, lovely tour
Wonderful experience, our driver was so kind and the tours were excellent. They picked us up and dropped us off right at our hotels without problems. It was a very smooth process from the beginning to the end.

Full tour of Hobbiton finishing at the Green Dragon!
A great day trip for any fan of the Hobbit or Lord of the Rings. Dirk was a pro and it was great to be able to go into the 3/4 size fully furnished hobbit hole. Great to end the day with a drink at the Green Dragon as well!

          Long Day but worth it
Early pick up in Auckland from our hotel with our first stop being Hobbiton, we were able to get some coffee and light breakfast before our tour to Hobbiton. Our group got split up between two different tours times while at Hobbiton, which I thought was odd since we were waiting either on the front end or back end for everyone to complete the tour. We should have stayed as one group. We were on the first tour, had a great time learning and exploring the set, after the tour we got a complimentary drink, then off to the lunch buffet. Lunch was very good with a good variety of choices for all dietary needs. We did wait around for about 40 mins after our lunch for the 2nd tour group to finish their lunch. We then rushed off to head to Waitomo caves with a short stop for ice cream, had my first hokey pokey and it was delicious. I was hooked and ate it all through NZ. At the caves, we did a short tour of the cave then boarded a boat to float our way to the glow worms. Spent about an hour at the caves. Afterwards, we switched drivers and headed to Rotorua with a stop at a swinging bridge near the hydro power plan. While it was a long day, there were enough breaks during the day to get out of the van/bus and stretch. We enjoyed our time and would recommend if you need a transfer to Rotorua or just a day trip from Auckland.

          Awesome Day!
We are now home but I wanted to say, on behalf of our group of 8 people, we'd like to say a big "Thank you to Philippa Dean" for coming down to the Restaurant in Auckland, to take our money and make the reservations for us to the Rotorua & Hobbiton. It was a Very Enjoyable Day for us ALL! We have to say "Darryl" was SUCH A PLEASURE to have as our 1. Driver and 2. Such a Knowledgeable Guide and Excited to inform us all of how proud he is of his Country. He told us a lot of things both up and back for our 2 tours, 12 1/2 hour Day. We just wanted you to know how comfortable we were in the Vehicle, our stop for a bite to eat at "The Ally Cat", his information during the whole day was amazing! We will definitely recommend your company for anyone going to Auckland, New Zealand. Bradshaw's, Donohue's, Wardle's and Bellerive's.

The most amazing day!! Redwood tree walk and geysers!!
We chose the Redwood forests tree climb along with the geysers! It was a beautiful walk through the redwoods. We then had a tour of the Maori Art Institute, saw the Kiwi bird, and enjoyed a spectacular lunch overlooking the geysers. After lunch we toured the bubbling mud and geysers. They are amazing! I didn’t want to leave! Our tour guide, Daryl, was the most knowledgeable guide! He shared the history of New Zealand with us, showed us the silver ferns, and provides us with the best day we could have ever asked for!! If you do this tour, be sure to request Daryl as your guide!!

Perfect experience to Rotorua and Waitomo
The trip to Waitapu and Waitomo is so great and definitely worth the price. Hermes and Edson help us with everything. Hermes shows us every beautiful scenery while on our way. Something interesting about diary cows and sheep and the nature. Edson takes us to the Waitomo trip and drive us back to Auckland. Waitomo is something you never want to miss. We also visit a dam somewhere in the nearby town, which is so beautiful! Recommend!

          Perfect experience to explore Rotorua
The Rotorua Escape tour is fantastic! Happy to meet Petez and have him with us. We have learnt so many things about New Zealand during the trip, and he pointed us to every small spot that has good scenery or interesting things to know. Te Puia looks great and the buffet is good. There are breaks between each item, which is perfect. Do recommend!

Made memories that will last for years!
This tour was an absolutely wonderful experience! I appreciated the slower pace of getting to explore different areas of Rotorua (geothermal spots, stunning lake overlooks, redwood forest) in the morning. The buffet lunch was really lovely with nice food that I don't think you could get except in the nicest restaurants. The afternoon activities were by far my favorite, with the Māori cultural show and the grounds tour. The cultural show included beautiful singing and dancing with brief explanations of the meanings of the various elements, which made it so memorable. And the grounds tour was also great. We saw hot mud springs, exploding geysers and Kiwi birds. One of my favorite elements was seeing the school and watching the students and tutors carve wood/stone and weave baskets. The cultural elements made for an experience that you literally could not get anywhere but in New Zealand. And I must end by sharing how incredible our tour guide Pete was! He was very lovely to talk to and answered all of our questions, definitely not relying on a script. It was so meaningful to have a guide of Māori descent to give us further insight into this beautiful country. He even told us a beautiful Māori legend on the drive home, and I truly feel so lucky and privileged that he shared it with us. This tour was one I will not forget, and I would highly recommend it!

          A must do experience!!!
It was a long day, but very much worth it to see such an amazing part of New Zealand. Chris was a fabulous driver and kept us all on our toes. The pictures don’t do justice to the amazing sites of Rotorua. TE PUIA, the Māori cultural experiences was very informative and getting to see both Kiwi’s was pretty cool. Lunch was delicious and everyone was so wonderful and welcoming.

10/10 experience for LOTR Nerds and Nerd Nerds
Amazing! We lucked out in that we were the only people on our tour, so we had such an enjoyable personal experience with our FlexiToursNZ guides (Edson and Jenny). Both were so knowledgeable, friendly, and lovely. We also lucked out with the tour guides we had at Hobbiton and Waitomo Caves, as they made the tours so enjoyable. Overall great experience, would recommend.

Special sights , an enjoyable day, full of amazing colors: starting with Ladi Knox Geyser, than astonising colors of the geothermal area in waiotapu ( along with the distinctive smell :-) ), Huka falls and lake Taupo. Our guide- Sandra- was very proffessional, made the tour enlightening and fun, paid attention and accordingly adjusted the tour to our specific group needs, and made the day most enjoyable.
