I thoroughly enjoyed myself on this tour. The driver Wayne was great and Hobbiton itself was amazing. I would definitely use Bush and Beach tours again the next time I'm in Auckland. The buffet lunch at Hobbiton was delicious. If you're a enjoy smaller tour groups I recommend this company

It was such a beautiful day and our tour person Mairi was engaging and had soo much knowledge .I felt at ease and not rushed.It was a small group which made it easy to interact.Thanks Mairi for the cuppa and Anzac Bikkie that was soo perfectly timed after walking and taking photos on the beach.Piha Beach is soo beautiful with its soft black sand.

Really well worth the money. Everything ran so smoothly and communication with the company before the tour was exceptional, making sure we were picked up at the most convenient location. The tour was conducted as 2, morning and afternoon, with 2 different tour guides ensuring we had the most knowledgeable guides for the different environments. The stops and the commentary were all scenic and interesting.

We had a fantastic tour with Bush and Beach tours. Our guide, Mairi, was excellent!! She had so much expertise on the flora, fauna and wildlife of the Auckland region. She was also extremely patient with our many questions about the region. We loved visiting Piha Beach, the Waitakere Ranges rain forest and the Arataki Visitor Centre. Piha beach is incredibly scenic and a wonderful sight to see if you’re visiting Auckland. Everything was so well planned from pick up to drop off at the end of the trip. We even stopped for lunch at a delicious pie shop and had tea and biscuits at the end of the tour. This was a 10/10 experience and I would highly recommend the tour for those looking to explore the surrounding areas of Auckland.

This trip was fantastic from start to finish. Tony was our driver who picked us up directly outside our hotel, he was friendly, attentive and passionate. He told us stories/facts about the filming for Lord of the Rings and New Zealand during our trip to Hobbiton. He even took the more scenic route for the arrival at Hobbiton. He stopped half way for coffee break if we fancied. Hobbiton was obviously incredible. Emma was our tour guide here and she was super. Learnt loads of fun facts about the filming/set. 1 free drink in the green dragon - stout, ale, cider or non-alcohol ginger beer. Tour includes lunch in the party marquee - I didn’t expect much from a buffet but I was wrong! It was so good! Fresh quality food, lots of options (no dietary requirements so can’t comment on others), even lots of desserts. We were given a map of hobbiton (which tony kept safe so we didn’t crumple it!), a $10 gift voucher each to spend in the shop. On the way home, Tony took a small detour to show us places of interest for us in particular and stopped half way for a coffee break if needed. Tony dropped us back at our hotel but was happy to drop us back wherever in the city if requested. 100000% recommend. Worth every penny.

Michelle and Melvin made our tour very enjoyable. We learned a lot about the history of New Zealand and were very knowledgeable and answered many questions. Lunch at the Green Dragon was very good and the glow worms were amazing!

This was a real highlight of our time in Auckland - really well managed and our tour guide Meredith was really knowledgable. Ben was also an amazing guide through the rainforest, pointing out many interesting things and giving a lot of wider context. Great to have the time at the beach at the end too. Would definitely recommend!

A great day out in Aukland. We had Jason and Damion as drivers, and they were both friendly and helpful as well as telling all about the places we visited and the country in general. The bus was very comfortable and the small group format was great. Highly recommend. Worth noting it is a long day :)

Arranged Blackwater Abyss Tour through Bush and Beach. Very easy and helpful from the get go to book. Very comfy ride down and back with a very knowledgeable and laid back guide, Alexander Blackwater Abyss was an incredible tour and Alexander made the rider and back very informational.

The tour operator showed up on time in a clean van. The operator offered pick up points at various locations throughout the CBD for our convenience. The tour guides Aykla and driver Justin were friendly and knowledgeable about the area, nature and history of the region. We had three different stops for bathroom breaks and a well planned rainforest walk. Pija Beach was stunning and our tour operators offered us tea and biscuits at the beach which was a very nice touch. Certainly recommend this tour operator for their efficiency and friendly staff.

I booked this tour last minute, hoping to see more of New Zealands beauty without having to go too far from the city. This tour did just that! We did a tranquil walk through the rainforest, learning about the native and foreign plants & animals of New Zealand. Being surrounded by so much greenery in the middle of winter was so enjoyable. Afterward, we went to Piha beach and had beautiful views of the ocean. Murray, our guide, shared so much history about the areas. You can tell he has so much love and respect for the region. As an added part of the tour (which I enjoyed just as much as the stunning views), Murray had prepared home made cookies, some Manuka honey for trying, and hot teas for the group to warm up with after being in the crisp beach air. It was so nice sharing that moment with fellow travelers. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

We did several tours with Bush and Beach - Auckland City Tour, Rainforest/Piha Beach Tour - and Hobbiton tour with lunch.. all excellent - interesting tour guides and drivers Kelly, Kevin, Jase and Damien - and also driver Alex - were our guides - all enthusiastic, informative, professional and dependable. This is our favorite way to experience a new city - with professional local guides who take you to places, and point out things you otherwise would never be aware of.. all vehicles clean and comfortable - all hotel pick ups and drop offs on schedule.. good job team B&B!

Wonderful tour! Great guides who were fun, helpful & informative. Doing both tours together was great contrast of city and nature. Loved sering more of the city which is not easy in Auckland and then the visit to rainforest and western beach was fantastic. Great company who were completely professional and could not have been nicer@

Our guide Tony was awesome! We had a wonderful day trip the views magnificent and everything was perfect. The transport was on time and smooth and Tony was informative and a pleasure. Highly recommend!!
