Taste of the Swan Valley with Wine
What a great way to spend a day sitting back relaxing, enjoying the views, sampling wines, have cheese and bickies and having a splendid lunch. Took off from Perth and enjoyed the city skyline and beautiful landscape along the river. Lunch was at the Homestead Brewery and the meals were huge. After lunch off to Lancaster winery for some more wine tasting and cheese and then to the Margaret River Chocolate factory were you were in chocolate heaven. Back on board for more drinks and some fantastic singing by Aisha who has a great voice and entertained us as we sailed back to Perth. Highly recommend for a great days outing

      Totally do it again!
Great from start to finish. We took the indulgence package. The staff were amazing, the food, wine and cheese platters were faultless on the cruise. The only meh part was what was ordered for lunch, it stated chicken salad what was received was a bowl of spinach leaves and some chicken. Nothing else, no other salad in the bowl. There was so much to choose from at the chocolate factory I almost walked out with nothing bit like browsing Netflix, couldn’t choose. But sooo yummy. The entertainment on way home was perfect those girls know how to sing. All in all yes go on this cruise totally worth it.

Idyllic day in the Swan Valley
We had the most amazing day on this trip. I took my friend and her two girls who are on holiday from the UK. We started with a cruise on the Swan River followed by lunch at the Mandoon Estate. We then got on a bus and visited wineries, chocolate factory and a brewery. We were so well looked after with so much to eat and the opportunity for lots of tastings. Loved the different places we visited which were small, bespoke and gave fabulous service. The whole experience was enjoyed by everyone and I would definitely recommend.

      Super experience
Fantastic half day tour. 40 bus ride to first winery at Mandoo to sample half a dozen lovely wines. Then onto Lancaster winery for more of the same plus cheese boards. 3rd stop was at a chocolate factory with more samples than I could manage. The 2 hour boat trip back to Perth was filled with tea and cakes followed by a generous open bar. Absolutely worth the money

      Wine and river trip
This was a trip of 6 parts, initially a coach trip (minibus) with a fantastic, funny and knowledgeable driver 5/5. Part two at the sandlford winery, brilliant wine presented by a brilliant guy, 5/5 Part 3 at the Lancaster winery, rushed through the tastings and the only info presented was, this is ....type of grape. The wine was excellent which helped the score 3/5 Part 4, lunch, excellent service, delicious food and a great accompanied wine, 5/5 Part 5, the Mandoon winery and cheese tasting, again the wine tasting was rushed with very little information and way too many people for the amount of cheese supplied 3/5 Part 6 , trip back on the Swan River, amazing journey, the wine flowed more than the river, ace crew, 5/5

Swan Valley River Cruise- a must try
Excellant trip , wine and cheese platter on ferry, hospitable crew and bus tour. The bus tour included a fantastic lunch/pax in a reputable restaurant.

      Value for money but rushed
Good value for money with all the inclusions however the wine tastings felt very rushed. Only about 25-30mins at each place and felt like we sat down and then got up again. Boat tour with Captain Cook cruises at the end was fantastic! Awesome crew and afternoon tea!

      A raucous drunken trip
The early morning part had nice views. The Captains commentary was very bad. The wine tasting started early and by 11 lots of people were drunk. The ship was fully booked and as the day progressed a lot of people were getting louder, drunker and the passengers were dancing in the isle. The Captain had trouble controlling the ship and at one time it ran aground. Then the crew started singing, 2 girls. Both sang flat and it was painful. I couldn’t get off fast enough. A shocking day.

      Fabulous day
This trip was exceptional value for money and such a good day out. We chose to go on the coach then boat return. We visited 3 wineries enjoying a wide variety of wines and fizz (all delicious 😋) lunch was included as well as a stop at a chocolate factory. We were entertained on the boat by members of the crew staff along with more inclusive wine and cake. Nothing negative to say!!

      Swan Valley half day tour
All wineries & brewery were excellent with great service & knowledgeable, served food with tastings, presented very well. Chocolate venue waste of time & added nothing a time filler to afternoon, could have been left off & no one would have noticed. They gave nothing but a very small piece of 3 chocolates & that was it.

Wine tours were lovely. Really enjoyable the best part of the trip was the booze cruise back to Perth and then one of the crew members Lauren sang some songs she was absolutely amazing! Definitely worth a trip on this tour! Was such a surprise at the end she had us ready for a night out!

Great time in the swan valley. Lucy from Swan Valley tours was a helpful informative coach driver. Fabulous choice of wines and cheese especially at Lancaster winery. A visit to the chocolate factory and Providore is a must. The cruise back was amazing with lovely platters, open bar and live music -Lauren has a lovely voice. Serene views from the river. A lovely day out!! We will return 😊

Grand finale to our time in Perth
This combo boat and wine tour was a great finale to our time in Australia. The format of the tour is great -- couple of hours slow ride up the river with wine and cheese accompaniment, then a bus trip around to a couple different wineries, including one for lunch. Claude, our bus driver and tour guide, did a lot to make this a special outing. He seems more or less to be the unofficial mayor of Swan Valley, and created a fund team atmosphere among the group for our day together. Lunch was just so-so. Good value for the money, would recommend.

The day had the potential to be terrible, as I had misread the time lines and we arrived late for pick up.VERY out of character for me!

HOWEVER owing to the patience of our WONDERFUL driver and guide Keith and fellow passengers I was forgiven, and once i forgave myself we had a fabulous day out.

I loved that we visited small family owned wineries and in two cases were hosted by the wives of 3rd generation owners.
The quality of the wines was, in most cases excellent and prices surprisingly, very reasonable.

We enjoyed delicious cheeses and olives, scrumptious lunch and other snacks, along with wine and beer !!

We really appreciated the knowledge of Keith, and his company with us on the day.
A very interesting man and a true gentleman.

    Well done SVT !!!

We were visiting from UK over Christmas and New Year so we were treated to the tour by my daughter and partner who live in Perth. Can honestly say it was one of the highlights from our visit. Had a fab tour guide, chatty, friendly and knowledgeable. Only regret is that we didn't buy any wine as we were going out in the city straight afterwards. However, by luck we have managed to find some in the UK that we sampled that day! Would highly recommend this tour.I'm so sorry i cannot remember the tour guides name, but she was lovely! :-)

The half-day tour didn't start well as the bus missed picking us up in Guildford (we were at the appointed spot in good time) and by the time this was rectified we were already behind the rest of the tour at the first stop. However, we caught up the the tastings and really enjoyed the 3 contrasting vineyards we visited; one large, one smaller and one more rustic but all with some interesting and varied wines. Chatting to the staff in each venue was wonderful, as their passion for the products shone through. The supply of wines was plentiful with food accompaniments being offered also. The brewery and its beer was OK, but it would have been better to have seen the brewery itself not just a bar area. The chocolate stop was a bit pointless and some of the other guest spent their time in the distillery next door, which would have added value to the trip which was $90 per person and just about worth it. A really enjoyable afternoon was had though.

If you like wine this is your tour if you want beer or chocolate don't do it. We stopped at 3 different vineyards and had a tasting. We then went to the chocolate store where we were given a small piece of chocolate and an opportunity to buy more. We stopped at a bar and were given a beer.
Although the trip said we would return via boat there was no boat only a bus ride back to town. Nothing here for the nondrinker, the chocolate lover, someone that wants a river cruise or to learn anything about the process of making wine.

Hi Roger, Thank you for choosing Swan Valley Tours; your feedback is important to us. Our tours do focus on wineries as we started out as a wine tour company and at the time the region was dominated by wineries, there was only a couple of breweries in the Swan Valley. Since then, several breweries have opened, and we do now offer private group brewery tours. Only a few venues offer a behind the scenes wine-making tour experience. This does add additional time and is not appropriate for this particular public tour where we like to visit a selection of both big renowned and smaller family run wineries. We certainly welcome non-drinkers, as well as wine drinkers on our tours, and we offer a non-alcoholic drink option at each stop. We can also personalise our private tours to suit non-drinkers, where we visit a selection of produce venues and other activities. We do have four different wine tour & cruise options available. We hope that you still overall enjoyed your day out with us and would consider trying one of our cruise tours next time. Kind regards, Adele from Swan Valley Tours

The first winery was so impersonal, you couldn’t even enjoy the wine, the place was crowded and noisy. The second winery was focused on the group, nice, interactive talks. The third place should not be visited.
The brewery and the chocolate place was too much, I would rather spend more time with a good wine than rush many places.

Did the half day tour and it was the perfect amount of time. Would prefer maybe 10 more minutes at each location but overall it was good. Visited Mandoon, Windy Creek Winery (my favorite-great hostess), Twin Hill Wines, Mash Brewing, and Margaret River Chocolate Factory.

I had just arrived in Perth as a solo traveller with no afternoon plans. I am a foodie so thought this trip would be a great afternoon out. I was not disappointed. I was met by Kym the owner in her own car to quickly connect me to the rest of the tour. Great value stops. A mix of wineries, breweries chocolate, savouries. Attentive service. Overall a great day out. As a solo traveller I loved being able to drink and not worry about driving too. Thank you for a 5 Star easy Perth getaway. ❤️😊 Jason -Darwin Australia

Ed gave us a great tour leaving from central Perth with an informative commentary about the history of the city as we headed to wine country. The Swan Valley is relatively compact so it was never a long time between stops. The day included wine, cheese, chocolate and lunch and then a snack before returning to the city.
