Overview
Enjoy Hobart from the water on Derwent River cruise. Choose your preferred time of day for your cruise, including lunch and dinner options, and then glide through the city to admire the harbor and waterfront attractions such as the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, the Tasman Bridge, Government House, Montagu Bay, and Rose Bay.
What to Expect
The first morning cruise starts at 11am everyday on peak season, it travels North: the North cruise goes up the river going inland, passing Botanical Gardens, Government House, under Tasman Bridge, crossing over the river to Rose Bay, then coming back from Montagu Bay. Total duration is one hour. The cruise does not contain any meals.
The second Lunch cruise starts at 12:15pm is the most popular option for our customers, it contains an one-course meal and 1.5 hour cruising. The cruise combines the North and South routes.
The two afternoon cruises at 1:45pm and 2:45pm each goes for one hour. The 1:45pm cruise travels South: the South route goes down the river around the bay, passing Battery Point, Sandy Bay, Casino, then over to eastern shore towards Bellerive Bluff and finally coming back from Kangaroo Bay.
The 2:45pm cruise travels North: the North cruise goes up the river going inland, passing Botanical Gardens, Government House, under Tasman Bridge, crossing over the river to Rose Bay, then coming back from Montagu Bay.
No meal included for the afternoon cruises.
Finally, it is our dinner cruise starts at 6pm. It contains a three-course meal and two complimentary wine for each customer. The cruise will combine the North and South routes, similar to the lunch cruise. Note: it would be very much appreciated if you could call our office to check the availability before booking the dinner cruise, thank you! Ph: 03 62009074

The lunch cruise includes a main course meal for only $10 more than the sight-seeing cruises alone. Quality of the food (we had one steak and one chicken schnitzel ) was better than I have been served for more than twice the price in pubs...More

Just came off the lunch cruise ($38). It included choice of meals - steak was tasty and well cooked. Interesting commentary about the Derwent, lovely and hard working staff, and great value for money. I'm a local but I learned stuff about the river. Highly...More

We went on the lunch cruise which takes an hour and a half and it's time well spent.

We went on the lunch cruise which takes an hour and a half and it's time well spent. The menu option includes salmon and they only told us after we ordered that, that it's extra. Other than that, we were very happy.

Very nice

Don't be deceived by the fact the boat needs to be painted, the captain gave a great talk on the landmarks and the history of the area. We did the afternoon lunch cruise and while the food was not fine dining it was still good...More
