Overview

Taste local wine at five wineries in McClaren Vale on this small-group tour from Adelaide with all transportation provided. Sip plenty of samples without worrying about having to drive and enjoy the scenery on a drive through Fleurieu Peninsula. Groups are limited to 10, making your sit-down lunch at a winery restaurant an intimate end to your wine country experience.

What to Expect

Your tour starts with pickup from selected Adelaide or Glenelg hotels. Your comfortable tour vehicle, which accommodates 10 total tour members, takes you on scenic route toward the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Visit five different wineries with your guide. At each, tour the vineyards and get tastings of the region's best wines, both white and red. Learn about the winemaking process and what makes wines from this region desirable.

Wineries you may visit include d’Arenberg, Serafino of McLaren Vale, Leconfield McLaren Vale Cellar Door, Paxton, Wirra Wirra, Kay Brothers Amery Vineyards, Angove Family Winemakers, Chapel Hill Winery and Fox Creek Wines.

Midday, stop for a lunch at a winery restaurant, an intimate experience with your group of just 10 guests. Take the opportunity ask questions of your wine expert guide.

End your tour with convenient drop-off back in Adelaide or or Glenelg.

I have no idea. The tour company's web site listed pickup points, but they may have changed since we were in Adelaide. Contact the tour company.

You could ask. On the tour we took, the driver had certain wineries in mind but asked if we had any requests. Two people wanted to see the d'Arenberg Cube, so he detoured there.
