Make your own way to the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, meet your captain and crew, and hop aboard your luxurious catamaran. As you set sail, gaze out across the Coral Sea and tuck into tasty muffins and tea or coffee. During the journey, the crew will review basic snorkeling techniques and help you get suited up for your first snorkel or dive.

Arrive at the first stop and, depending on your chosen activity, either head down to the snorkel platforms for easy access to the water or join your scuba instructor for your introductory or certified dive. Guided snorkel excursions are available for beginners or less-confident snorkelers, while dive masters accompany small groups of no more than six people.

After working up an appetite in the water, relax on deck while lunch the onboard chef prepares lunch. Then feast on a delicious buffet of hot and cold dishes, including vegetarian options and plenty of salads, fresh fruits, and bread. Cold drinks are available for purchase.

Continue to the second dive site, where you’ll have another chance to snorkel or dive. As you explore the vibrant corals of the Great Barrier Reef, look out for exotic marine life such as parrotfish, puffer fish, or clown fish. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a reef shark or sea turtle. If you have any questions about your sightings, all will be answered during a special marine life presentation once you’re back onboard.

After a full day at sea, set sail for Cairns, where your tour ends back at the cruise terminal.

Complete and utter shambles

Passions of paradise is a great boat with a nice crew but it was woefully disorganised, to the point where I wondered if I should fear for my safety on the introductory dive. We were given a good explanation about the dive earlier on, but...More

I believe you have to wait 12 hours before flying after a single dive, and 18 hours before flying if you do multiple dives.

I would suggest you call them prior to booking. I think PADI recommends more than 12 hours for flying after diving, you might be able to do the morning diving but give them a call they will address that for sure!
