Learn more about endangered species like Tasmanian devils; spot adorable koalas, wallabies and wombats; or brave a peek at dingoes, deadly snakes and crocodiles. That’s not all: Make the most of the varied keeper talks, watch feeding demonstrations, and enjoy hand-feeding kangaroos and emus under supervision. You also have the option to experience a up close and personal Koala Encounter!!
    What to Expect
Visit: Featherdale Wildlife Park, 217 - 229 Kildare Rd Doonside, Blacktown, New South Wales 2767 Australia

Make your own way by car or public bus to Featherdale Wildlife Park, situated 45 minutes by road to the west of Sydney on the way to the Blue Mountains. More than 2,000 native animals live on seven acres among native plants and trees.

Have the chance to hand-feed friendly wallabies and kangaroos with park supervision and take your photo near one of the many koalas that live here. Check out the Tasmanian devils, endangered due to the impact of a devastating disease in the past two decades. Or compare the park’s two wombat species: the Southern hairy-nosed wombat and the common wombat.

Explore 26 realistic exhibits in the Reptilian Pavilion where 40 different native species of reptiles reside. See lizards, turtles, crocodiles, pythons and venomous snakes among the scaly creatures in this display. Then check out the bird section where you can find festively feathered parrots, sleek waterbirds and endearing little penguins, large birds like emus and southern cassowaries, and more.

Feeding times and keeper presentations occur throughout the day and are detailed in the Itinerary below. Learn fascinating facts about the echidna, a mammal that is related to the platypus. Participate in a farmyard feeding and animal encounter with goats, sheep and cows. Other talks feature the dingos, koalas, pelicans and flying foxes.

Why not add on the Personal Koala Encounter

Australia's most prized fluffy icon, an encounter with a Koala is a must-do experience during your Aussie stay. This is just a small park but we had such fun seeing the Koala bears, Wallaby and baby and so many other animals. We didn't feed the animals but there were a lot of children enjoying that practice.
