You may even get meet some of the cast and watch the filming in action. You’ll also visit the seaside town of Manly and see other renowned surfing beaches. This tour is a must-do for ‘Home and Away' fans when in Sydney!
What to Expect
Your Home and Away tour starts with pickup in central Sydney, then travels by climate-controlled coach about one hour north of Sydney to reach Palm Beach. Known as Summer Bay in the TV show, Palm Beach is the real life filming location for Home and Away, one of Australia's favorite TV shows. Palm Beach is also known for its laid-back atmosphere and beautiful beachside location.

Your knowledgeable guide shares a wealth of fun facts, gossip and tricks of the trade from the set of Home and Away, which has been popular since its debut in 1987. Notable former cast members include actors such as Heath Ledger and Naomi Watts.

Follow your guide to outdoor locations from Home and Away, including the Summer Bay Surf Club, The Pier, Alf's Bait Shop, the lighthouse and the lovely beach. With luck, you may get to watch the crew in action if you visit on a day when the show is filming. The cast will sometimes give autographs and pose for photographs. A pic with Brax would make a great souvenir!

Enjoy some free time to take in the sights of ‘Summer Bay’ then reboard your coach and head to the charming town of Manly. Take a scenic coastal route that passes Whale Beach, Avalon Beach, the Bilgola lookout and Dee Why.

Your tour ends in Manly, a suburb of Sydney that is renowned for its natural beauty and relaxed lifestyle. Stay and explore this vibrant beachside suburb at your leisure, perhaps taking a stroll along the coast, renting a bike or kayak, or eating at one of the excellent restaurants along the beach. Traveling back to Sydney is easy on the Sydney Ferry (own expense), which affords terrific views on the return to Circular Quay.

Would have liked to have see more.

The tour guide and driver were excellent and eger to help. The tour itself is mainly watching filming, which was good. The driver let us hang about for extra time to try to get photos with the cast, but they were too busy.

Sorry no. Excellent trip. Nobody stayed behind. One couple had made their own way by car to join the tour but then followed the mini bus back to Sydney. Hope this helps.
