The lunch stop was absolutely amazing, but we didn’t need 3 hours. The final snorkeling spot with Mantras was one of the coolest experiences of my life! One thing they could do better is communicate on the times. Ad said we’d return at 3:30. Host told our taxi guy we’d return at 4:30. They took countless photos and videos of us Snorkelling , free diving with the marine life and coral and of course the Manta-rays ! Wow…. What a unique experience. The trip was well organized and the boat was great. We travelled with two young kids - guide Budi made their first snorkeling experience very safe and fun. Highly recommend!
Something to consider in terms of the itinerary: we felt like the 1.5 hr return trip to the Kelinking Cliff in Nusa Penida - which was overrun by tourists- was not an ideal way of spending our time. Next time, we would opt for the full day on the boat, enjoyed more snorkeling dips and a longer break at the lunch restaurant with its amazing view.

An absolutely incredible day filled with so many adventures. I was lucky enough to see dolphins, mantra rays and turtles, along with a beautiful range of fish. I definitely recommend doing the premium shared boat for getting the most out of your money as it came with a beautiful boat different ammenities and a much more private experience (premium shared boat: 8 people, shared boat: 15-20 people). We had the BEST tour guides in being Jena and Gio who completely made this experience. This is a must do in Bali!

During our recent stay in Bali we decided to book a private boat trip and land tour at Nusa Penida with Day Trip Bali and it was definitely one of the highlights of the trip 🙌
We were picked up by our dedicated driver and taken to the offices in Sanur where we were greeted by our host for the day and had a coffee and you could buy pastries. We were then given a run down of the plans for our day and had the opportunity to ask Q’s and then we took a short walk to the marina where the boat was docked.
The boat was a smallish speedboat but was perfect size for our family of 7 and we had 3 crew on the boat including the captain and our host. The boat had a good amount of seats and cover to shelter from the splashing water and sun.
The boat ride out to Nusa Penida was very bumpy, although we get pre-warned of this and understand we’re crossing open ocean, so no surprises! We were offered fruit, water and sea sickness tablets, but luckily everyone was fine.
Once you see Nusa Penida from the water, the scenery is amazing, with dramatic cliffs and beautiful coves and arches/caves. We arrived at Manta Point and were given all of the snorkeling equipment and offered life jackets - definitely take one if you’re not a confident swimmer as the swell is strong and the boat does leave the location where you’re snorkeling for 15-20mins so can be a long time to tread water and be in the swell.
We were lucky enough to see a few mantas and as soon as we did, we knew the money and bumpy boat ride was worth it!
Once we jumped back aboard the boat, we went to the local marina and docked and then headed to a restaurant on the cliff with an infinity pool, temple and fantastic views of the ocean and mainland Bali, including Mt Agung.
We then embarked on our land tour to Kelingkling cliff - the road trip is bumpy as lots of pot holes and narrow, windy roads so maybe take a travel sickness tablet if this affects you. The trip takes about 45mins but once you get there, it’s a short walk to the cliff and the views are definitely worth it - note, it’s a very busy spot so expect to wait your turn to get to the fence to look out and get photos.
Finally, we jumped back on the boat to undertake some drift snorkelling, which was great as not much swell and we were able to snorkel more easily and saw plenty of tropical fish and turtles.
We arrived back at the dock in Sanur in the early evening and were driven back to our villa.
Special mention to our host Dena and Jones’s so friendly, so attentive and helpful and made our day even more special - legend!

Our premium snorkel trip was nothing short of amazing! From start to finish, every moment was thoughtfully planned. The guides Nyoman and Krisna were fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about making an unforgettable experience.
The adventure began with a snorkeling experience where we saw a manta ray, turtles, and monkeys. There was endless coral reef with colorful fish.
Midday, we stopped at a cliffside restaurant for lunch, complete with a pool where we could relax and cool off. The food was delicious, and the setting was perfect—a serene break before the next adventure.
The trip ended on a high note with a celebratory glass of Prosecco. Watching the sun set while sipping bubbly was the perfect way to wrap up such an incredible day.
Th premium tour is truly worth it, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking to combine adventure, relaxation, and a touch of luxury. An unforgettable experience!

This was an amazing experience, we swam with Manta Rays, Sea Turtles and so many different kinds of fish. I would highly recommend this tour to see the best of Nusa Penida.
From the beginning meet up to the final boat back to the beach everything ran smoothly and the guides and crew were very professional. Although we saw some amazing sea creatures and views of the cliffs, the absolute highlight would have to be the guides, Gio and Randy.
Gio and Randy are equally as knowledgeable as they are charismatic, they really made this tour amazing. Their swimming/diving ability gave me great comfort when in the open ocean off Manta point as well as riding the currents off Lembongan Island. Watching Gio free dive down to the same level of the scuba divers was incredible and his photos sent through from the day are amazing.
The two guides bounce off each other offering high energy and laughs from Gio and Randy had a calm and easygoing nature, the perfect mix.
They endeavoured to provide us the best experience possible and we even had time for a quick sunset champagne and dance on the boat before heading home.
I’m not very comfortable in rough seas or close spaces like boats but the vessel was immaculate and able to withstand the rough passage (this was a calm day apparently!) and enough space to spread out and enjoy the sun deck and roof.
This day delivered on everything advertised and was made that much better with really great guides. Highly recommend this trip.

Nusa Penida One organized our outing starting with a taxi pick-up at our villa to the marina where our tour started. There we met our friendly tour guide Budi who first explained everything our tour would entail (3 snorkels and lunch) and then took the four of us to a launch that transported us to our private boat (just the four of us, Budi, the Captain and one boat hand) that was anchored off shore.
We then proceeded to travel to Nusa Penida (underway, they cautioned us appropriately that the weather at each site would determine our activities) where Budi guided us through 3 very different and all very exciting snorkel outings. First we swam with giant manta rays (around seven of them with wingspans of probably 15 feet), then we moved on to a new site where we snorkeled amongst schools of tropical fish and a gorgeous coral reef) and finally at our third location, after lunch, Budi guided us very carefully through a drift snorkel in a fairly strong current that carried us at least half a mile if not more. During this last snorkel Budi promised us we’d see a sea turtle which we actually did - it was very exciting.
At all times, Budi ensured that our snorkel trips were safe and sound by providing us prior instruction, coming into the water with us and bringing along a safety float, as well as educating us on what we were seeing and answering any of our questions.
The equipment provided (goggles and snorkel, fins and a towel) were all in fairly new condition, clean and fully functional - no issues there.
Budi and the crew furthermore offered us bottled water and later in the day fresh watermelon. For lunch, they brought us to a very cute restaurant on Nusa Penida where we were able to enjoy a variety of local and international dishes and beverages, as well as subsequently take advantage of the beautiful beach including beach chairs, etc.
Budi and his team did a terrific job, were very friendly and we had a great outing with them for around 7 hours! I can highly recommend Nusa Penida One and suggest you ask for Budi as a tour and snorkel guide!

What an amazing experience we had with this tour! Our guides, Ringgo and O’Neil were amazing, we all felt so safe and knew we were in the best hands! Quite a few of the people on our trip underestimated the roughness of the boat ride and got a bit sea sick, but the guys were always there to help! We were extremely lucky to see a Manta (I can’t believe people make negative reviews if they don’t see the animals, it’s the ocean after all…) there were a LOT of people at the Manta point, but our guides made sure to keep us as safe as possible with all the other tourists around. Unfortunately when the Manta came out, the other tourists went crazy, and started kicking and pushing people out the way to get close to the Manta, I got kicked and ended up needing some first aid (just a small cut on my chin) and the guys were really helpful. We had an amazing time all around, the footage we got was just absolutely gorgeous and they really go above and beyond to make your trip special. We didn’t feel rushed at any point in the trip, each snorkel spot was well timed and we had a great lunch at the most beautiful restaurant, which also we were not rushed at. Unfortunately many people do not do any research before booking these kind of tours, things happen that are out of anyones control, and you really can not blame the guides or the company for these issues. Nusa Penida is extremely busy during the day time, and although the guides do inform you of the possibility of a long drive, I see many people seem to disregard this. All in all, I would recommend this tour 100% to anyone who is competent and comfortable on and in the water.

This was an absolutely amazing day. The weather was perfect and the conditions were ideal. We had a group of 9 adults ranging in age from 25 - 60, and hired the Lady Manta exclusively for our group. This worked out to be approx. $195 each (Australian) which was amazing value. Nemo and Aden were absolutely fantastic guides and really made the experience exceptional by catering perfectly to the varied experience within our group.
We visited the manta rays first and swam with these giants for around 30 minutes. WOW! These things are huge! We ventured on to 3 other spots throughout the day and saw beautiful coral formations, thousands of tropical fish (and a very ugly and scary eel). We swam with turtles and discovered some bizarre hot spots of water just off Nusa Lembongan which was really interesting. Jumping off the top off the boat was also fun whilst anchored in Crystal Bay.
Nemo and Aden took heaps of underwater footage and sent to us the day after the trip - very happy memories!
I could go on and on about this day, but will finish by saying that we all highly recommend this experience. If you manage to get Nemo and Aden as your guides - you will be assured of a first class day!

Nyoman and Kris were amazing guides and the day was so well thought out. Was a very premium experience (with only 14 max on a sizeable boat) and we could not recommend a better snorkelling experience in Bali. Travelling from Queensland this was up there with some of the tours we had completed on the Great Barrier Reef.

This was one of the best experiences of our lives. Me and my wife went on the premium shared boat trip - there were 13 guests altogether, with a mixtures of couples and a family - there was plenty of room on the boat. The guides (Nyoman and Tukuc) were excellent and made our safety and enjoyment of the trip their highest priority.
We were lucky enough to swim very close to 3 huge manta rays, in a coral reef following a fast drift current, and saw 7 sea turtles.
Honestly, the land trip to Kellingking Cliff was a little bit of a chore to get to and, like others have said, is a long way to go for a picture - although any Instagram Influencer would disagree as the view is stunning. The buffet food at the restaurant was good and much needed after all the snorkelling.
We ended the tour relaxing on the boat in some very calm waters while drinking champagne, taking photos and chatting with other guests.
This is without a doubt worth every penny and every second of your time.
It is a good idea to take snacks and drinks with you - one of the guests handed out beers, which was a very good idea and something we all appreciated. So don't think twice about taking extras and using their cool box.

I'm confused about the tour options. Do all tours include every stop, with only the boat and equipment changing? Or do I need to choose between a boat tour and a land tour to visit places like Kelingking Beach?
