Take a relaxing and scenic trip in the Podhale region at the foot of the highest mountains in Poland – the Tatras. We visit Zakopane, known as a ski resort and winter capital of Poland. In the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries it became a center of bohemian life. Tourists come to enjoy the views, traditional regional cuisine (yum!) During the tour we will see, among other things, examples of traditional wooden architecture, the local market (time to buy local specialties: wollen socks, smoked cheese or ship skins), we take a train (funicular) to the Gubalówka peak to admire the panorama of the Tatras. On the way to Zakopane we also stop in Chocholow, a small village with perfectly preserved (and still inhabited) wooden cottages which are more that 100 years old.
