Really enjoyed our tour guided by a non Finnish lady Inhoa who gave us a great insight to the Finns, their habits, the history and so many interesting buildings. She really knew her stuff and made it enjoyable. Kept us out of the drizzle and strong winds where she could. Definitely worth doing thank you

On a recent trip to Helsinki with my dad, we went on the Green Cap free walking tour. It was a wonderful tour - I can't recommend it enough. We saw all the essential Helsinki sites and learned so much about Helsinki, Finland, and Finnish culture. Our tour guide was personable, clearly passionate about Helsinki, and you could tell enjoyed what she was doing. Although it is a free tour, we of course compensated our tour guide via tip since that's the only way she gets paid for the tour. Overall, was a great experience.

I followed 2 tours with Ainhoa in Helsinki, this morning classical tour and in the afternoon the modern Helsinki tour. She was very knowledgeable and had lots of pictures to show us to illustrate her points, which was highly appreciated! The mike is a nice touch to be sure everybody hears her well. Would highly recommend doing both tours, as the modern one is a complement of the classical one and we see completely different things.

This was a wonderful walking tour and I would recommend to anyone spending a day in Helsinki. Our guide, Katia, was so friendly and well informed on the history and sights the 2 hours flew by. It was extremely easy to find our guide ( just at bottom of steps to white cathedral holding a green umbrella) and a pleasant stroll through the city, which should not be too taxing for many people. Thank you Katia.

Kieto was very knowledgeable and efficient. We learned a lot about Helsinki, Finland and the Nordic region. I highly recommend him as a guide.

There was definitely a lot of good information. However, the way the guide communicated with the group was, in my opinion, a disaster. First of all, even though the tour was advertised as a "free tour", the guide started and ended her speech by insistently asking for tips. (How is that possible?!!). Then there were a lot of very subjective comments from the guide about how the buildings looked. It was even more unpleasant to hear her comments about some Finnish companies and politics, which sounded inappropriate from an ethical point of view. I wish the company would be more professional in training the guides to avoid giving a wrong impression of Finland.

We completed the free walking tour today with Siri as our tour guide. She was wonderful. We received a confirmation email after booking online, detailing where to meet, and Siri was easily located, exactly where we expected her to be. Siri offered so much information about Finnish history, answered all questions confidently and was easy to hear and understand throughout the tour. She patiently waited for everyone to catch up before speaking about the next area and gave great recommendations of other things to do and places to eat. Would recommend this to anyone with limited time in Helsinki or anyone wishing to know more about Finlands history and the beautiful City of Helsinki. Thank you Siri!

Guide Ainhoa - (spelling?) was excellent (Tuesday 10 September). Well paced, very informative, pleasant. Tour hit all major sites with info about other activities and areas to explore.

A really interesting & informative tour that covered a lot of ground in a fun way. A good pace and a fresh view on the city of Helsinki. Our guide Ainhoa was excellent.

Nice female guide who shared reliable historical facts of Finland. The tour was short on anecdotes to complement the history and lots of walking between stops. Granted that Helsinki doesn’t have as interesting of history as Tallinn or Riga or Stockholm, and this rather generic tour reflected that. The tour guide had a small waist speaker which was helpful for hearing, but she often turned away from the group so the speaker was pointed in the same direction which made her commentary unintelligible for segments. She also frequently covered the speaker with her notebook, which also hampered the usefulness. For the €20 tip, I’d definitely try another company next time.

Informative tour which covered all of Helsinki's highlights. It also gave a great sight into the life of the locals including the importance of their saunas.

This tour provided an excellent introduction to the important landmarks of Helsinki, their history and roles in Finnish culture. Our local guide, Siri, was friendly and informative. She kept the tour nicely paced and extremely interesting. Highly recommended.
