      Fascinating History - Passionate Guide
The history is fascinating. The guide (Pavan) was very passionate about it. The architecture is beautiful. Strongly recommended if you are not a ‘party/chill only’ Goa visitor.

      Wonderful walking tour with vimala
Brilliant walking guide around old Goa. I was lucky to have the guide all to myself despite booking a group tour and Vimala was incredibly knowledgeable about the various churches we saw. Incredibly reasonably compared to other guided tours ❣️

      Fantastic experience
Fantastic experience, definitely a must try. The music and the drink after a long walk really brought the entire evening together. The bakery and the streets were out of this world. Thank you Transie for the experience

      Relaxing, informative and enjoyable
I don't know how many travellers know Goa beyond its sunny beaches and the churches of Old Goa. Fontainhas in Panaji/Panjim has a unique flavour. The brilliantly coloured houses, the narrow lanes that shoot off at odd angles, the grottos and churches, the old windows with oyster shells in the window panes, the rooster on the top of the houses, all stand witness to Goa's Portuguese heritage. The place was awarded a World Heritage Site in the 1980s. This fascinating history and little anecdotes and stories brought the place alive. Our guide Trancy was brilliant as she took us through the labyrinth of the Latin Quarters, the largest in Asia, and introduced us to Goan confectionery and Goan music too. A big thank you to Trancy and Make It Happen for this memorable walk.

      Wholesome friendly food tour!
We had a lovely afternoon learning about the typical dishes, traditional Goan spirit of Feni but also lots more about the culture and history of Goa! I wish we did this earlier on in our trip so we could’ve made the most of the insight and local tips we kindly received from Pawan who was very knowledgeable. He was mannerism was professional but also akin to sharing a drink with an old friend! A must do for any food-drink lovers but also for those wanting to know more about the local history and culture on a personalised level. Thank you Pawan for a fantastic afternoon.

Walk through Goan history in Fontainhas 🏘️
One of the best things to do in Goa! Joan is a brilliant storyteller, walking us through Goan history, culture, and architecture. She kept a brisk pace (with stories, bites to eat, and music) and two hours flew by in a jiffy. After multiple beach trips to Goa, this group walk was refreshing :) Pro tip: Carry a hat or umbrella depending on the weather. It started pouring heavily at the end of our walking tour and we couldn’t walk 8 mins back to where our car was parked without getting drenched (we waited in a cafe). Also carry a water bottle to keep hydrated.

      Feni-tastic, fascinating and flavorful
This is the second time we've done the Feni and Tapas trail. It's THAT good. The feni cocktails were sublime, the tapas delicious and the ambience in each place charming and authentic. Venecia is an enthusiastic storyteller and she shared many more trivia and nuggets about history, food and art that we enjoyed. The weather was a sport so rain did not spoil the experience. The roads and lighting around the places have improved from last year so we could more fully appreciate the beauty. Only would caution about the uneven road surfaces in some of the lanes... I had a small fall when I stumbled. So suggest good walking shoes and care while walking on the lane edges.

Wonderful experience at Fontainhas heritage walk
My wife and I signed up for the Fontainhas heritage walk by Make it happen. It was an amazing experience walking through the colourful streets of Latin Quarters wih our tour guide Ms. Joan giving us wonderful insights into the Portuguese history, along with anecdotal tales of folklore. We visited a Goan bakery on the way and were treated to yummy goodies. The highlight of our walk was a stop at the residence of renowned musician, Mr. Chico Fonseca, who kept us entertained with soulful guitar renditions of Konkani, English and Portuguese songs. All in all the tour was well worth our time as we go back with fond memories of the same. Looking forward to more such tours from Make it happen!

      Fabulous Fountainhas Walk in Goa
If you really want to know Goa and its history , Fountainhas walk is a must . Special thanks to Vimala our storyteller and guide for the day . She not only walked us through the old Goan house but beautifully explained its history. Goa Sweets tasting , refreshing kokum juice and highlight of the day Goan and Portuguese signing by a Goan singer for us made the overall experience really refreshing. If you really want to enjoy this walk , book through Make it Happen

Excellent walkthrough complimented by musical experience!
The walk through the colourful Goan streets was made memorable by the unique architecture and interesting and informative guidance by Joan who also comes from the architectural background! Would recommend the walk for getting the actual Goan flavour and history!

Overall, it was a lovely experience. This was my second tour with Make it happen, and it was worth it. We visited two heritage houses and some old sites in Chandor.

What could be better: The tour is priced at 1,200 per person. Plus you need a vehicle which means if you are not a local, you'll spend another 1,500-2,000 rupees on a cab ( taxis are quite expensive in Goa). So for two people the experience costs almost inr 4,000. Which can be costly.

Second, we went in Sep and it was a very hot and humid day. And the houses we visited didn't even turn on the fans. The second house was particularly very stuffy and it was getting difficult to breathe. The least they can do is request hosts to switch on the fans at least in the hot weather.

Except for these two things, it was a great tour. Plus the drive to Chandor is very scenic, making it worthwhile.

Well, there are guides and then there are storytellers.

If you ask me why 'Make it happen' makes a difference is because the intriguing stories are narrated by storytellers who themselves are historians/ archaeologists/ scholars in similar fields.

The storytellers are thorough professionals who take pride in narrating with passion.

An experience with 'Make it Happen' is a lifetime one and yes, you will keep going for their tours to hear the intriguing tales.

Chandor heritage trail was our third tour with 'Make it happen' after having booked Fountainhas walking tour and Chronicles of Divar Island with them. Tours by Make it happen are very interesting and thoughtful catering to needs of history, culture, food, nature lovers. Had read great reviews about this tour and Chandor being in our list of must visit place in Goa, we headed to Chandor. The tour to this 'Cursed capital of Kadamba dynasty' was well thought and presented by our lovely story teller 'Ms. Venita Gomes". The story teller told us very interesting facts about Chandor, which otherwise we couldn't have found on our own. Visited fernandes and Menezes Braganza house, both houses-beautiful, historical and architectural paradise. We were intrigued by mysteries of Fernandes house and pure ingenuity of secret hiding room. Loved the tour. Will recommend this tour to history and nature lovers out there, who want to experience Goa's rich cultural, historical and architectural heritage.

Chandor is a bundle full of surprises. We had no idea that there was so much to see and learn there. We chose a perfect day to go for the walk with Make It Happen and as usual it was awesome!!! Our guides Ameez and Deepak were super friendly and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. We started our work from the San Tiago chapel and went on to hear the story about Kushavati River and how the queen cursed the place after the dynasty was destroyed. We saw the old well and temple area.. the Nandi bull with the broken head. Gosh, there were so many wow moments in all those stories that the boys told us. We had goosebumps.. it was surreal!! But the visit to the old Braganza palace was the highlight of the trip. It was like what we see in the movies.

I am a history buff so I loved every bit of this heritage walk. Totally recommend it if you love history too and want to know more about Goa and it's gems :-) Thank you Make It Happen! I will see you again soon so please keep more such rare places ready for me to explore :-D

We had a beautiful walk in Chandor with its fascinating history. Our storytelling Pankaj, a drama student was full of interesting stories. The tour included a visit to two heritage homes, reminiscent of an ancient Shiva temple, the place where queen cursed the village and remnants of a mud fort wall built by the Kadambas. I wish the tour had more points of interest, but I guess it’s more about imaging the past glory right from the Kadamba rulers to Portuguese past.

A totally laid back tour for the people who are interested in the history.

We booked this walking tour on a friend's recommendation and we were not disappointed at all. We were accompanied by Nelson Menezes who was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We discovered so many new things on this tour and were thoroughly entertained/ educated.

The booking process was simple, I had a few questions and they were promptly addressed by their support team. I got booking details in advance and they called me to give advice on comfortable clothing and footwear while on the trip.

10/10 recommend for anyone who's keen to know more about Goa's rich heritage and history.

If you are in Goa, spend some time to understand the heritage of the city. This walk conducted by 'Make It Happen' team with Pawan as the storyteller is worthwhile.

He very concisely took us through the last 1000 plus years history. We visited two heritage houses and their vastness was excellent.

The chapel and church time was pristine too!

Pawan and even Nigel guided us for the other spots in city that we wish to visit. I could not have asked for a better tour partner.

    Gratitude,
    NRR

This trip to Chandor literally took us back in time. The story started off from when the Kadamba Dynasty was ruling Goa and ended when the Portuguese left. We visited two beautiful Heritage houses and got to know so many new things. The history of the Kushawati river really amazed me. This tour is highly recommended!
