      Excellent Pasta Class.
Excellent cooking experience at the chef’s farm. Thorough explanations of why certain ingredients are required. The class was hands on, with quick corrections if we wandered away from the instructions. All ingredients were organic and we created the best pasta. The best part was the care and dedication of the chef and his wife. We came away with a much better understanding of pasta - it’s so much more than flour and eggs!

Don’t leave Tuscany without this experince
The most amazing experience learning from an accomplished chef and sommelier. I will never think about pasta or tiramisu the same way again. And I am not afraid of tackling my own pasta making using the techniques I learned there. Giacomo not only gave us the “how” but also the “why” which I can use to select the right ingredients, using tried and true techniques to wow my future dinner guests. As if that weren’t enough, we had a scrumptuous lunch of our own pasta with sauces and treatments that were surely delivered by a heavenly angel, paired with wines made locally and matched as only an experienced sommelier could. I promised Giacomo we would return one day. I didn’t lie.

Learned so much more than just how to make pasta!
I absolutely loved this class! I learned so much and not just how to make pasta, but the importance of using very high quality, organic ingredients. I am gluten intolerant in the US, but have been able to eat everything here in Italy and the chef explained how that was the case and how to look for the quality eggs, flour, etc. The end meal was delicious, served with 3 very nice wines. I highly recommend this cooking class !!

      Tuscan cooking class
The experience begins in a magical location, at a centuries old farmhouse surrounded by grape vines and olive trees. Giacomo and Cristiana were very welcoming. The class was very informative and so much fun. Giacomo’s passion for his craft showed through his teaching and pride in the results. The ability to sit down at a meal with our fellow classmates, eating the fruits of our labors paired with excellent wines chosen specifically by Giacomo was the highlight. Would most definitely recommend this experience!

Awesome Experience at Tuscan Cooking Class by Le Caggiole
Our family of five booked a cooking class with Tuscan Cooking Classes by Le Caggiole on September 13, 2024. Giacomo was very responsive and provided excellent directions and information on what to expect. Upon arrival, we were greeted outside and made to feel welcome. The recipes were perfect for beginners and you receive a copy via email after class. Giacomo and Cristiana shared their passion for cooking, quality ingredients, and family traditions. Also, their daughter Caterina helped to make the day extra special by taking pictures and helping to serve the meal we prepared as a group. The home setting is beautiful and the day was perfect. Highly recommend Giacomo’s cooking class while in the Montepulciano area.

      Phenomenal!
We attended the Cooking class by Le Caggiole and were simply overwhelmed with the experience. Giacomo's passion for quality food and wine resonated to his enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge. The class is not only to present a proper way to prepare authentic Tuscan cuisine, but it also served to enlighten us to the true meaning of quality foods and wines. We thoroughly enjoyed the 5+ hours of learning, experiencing and eating the results of our true hands on experience of his kitchen. The atmosphere of the the class deserves mention as well. Located on his organic farm, we immediately felt welcome by Giocomo and his accommodating staff who tirelessly supported the whole preparation and meal. This is a "must do" when visiting or staying close to Montepulciano in Tuscany!

A must experience for cooking traditional Italian cuisine!!
I can't say enough about how great our experience was!! We were lucky to have the class all to ourselves because another family had cancelled. Chef Giaco and his wife were absolutely incredible in everything they did! This is not just a standard cooking class. They taught us EVERYTHING about the fresh ingredients that go into each dish as well as the wine that they pair each dish with. I didn't realize how little I knew about Italian food and wine until this class. The amount of detail that goes into every little detail is the difference between a good dish and a GREAT dish. We had gone to many restaurants in our 2 week trip to Italy, and this was some of the best food we had our whole trip. They even took photos of our experience for us so we didn't have to use our dirty phones to capture this wonderful experience. They were very clean which is important. I highly recommend this class and I would give them 10 stars if I could. THANK YOU chef Giaco and Christiana!!!!!!

Authentic Cooking Experience - knowledge, passion and fun for all!
My Partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent cooking class experience with Giacomo & Cristiana. A small group of 3 couples (including us), at their beautiful property, we were treated to a wonderful morning of cooking and eating! From the moment we begun to the end of the class, we were lucky enough to gain truly Tuscan experience - sharing his passion & knowledge for quality ingredients, love of cooking, the local areas and connection with people through food. The authentic experience of cooking was followed by a special lunch made using our made pastas. Absolutely delish! These 4 courses were paired with Giacomo’s terrific wine choices which he presented professionally. It was a fantastic experience and we both thoroughly enjoyed it - a highlight of our time in Tuscany!

      Incredible Tuscan Cooking Class!
What an incredible experience. We are a family of five (three teens) and memories were made as we learned out to make delicious pasta and tiramisu from scratch. Giaccomo was a fantastic instructor and told us tales of learning his recipes from his grandmother (he is 7th generation in Montepulciano!). Afterwards, we sat for a wonderful lunch with wine pairings and enjoyed the fruits of our “hard work”. Memories were made and can’t recommend this experience more highly!

Wonderful cooking class in the heart of Tuscany
My family and I took this cooking class during our recent trip to Italy in June. It was nothing short of fantastic! Everything about it was just so…Tuscan. From the location to the simplicity of the recipes (strong emphasis on quality ingredients), Giacomo and his beautiful family showed us some of his family recipes and man, they were delicious. This was probably one of the highlights of our two week trip and one we will remember and “try” to reproduce at home. Thank you Giacomo for a wonderful experience and fantastic memories.

Full bellies, new skills and a happy heart!
We’ve had the pleasure of taking a cooking class at Le Caggiole. We were welcomed by Giacomo and his wife Cristiana and what followed was an amazing morning of learning, cooking and laughing. Giacomo is só passionate about food, ingredients and the local cuisine. And sharing that passion is what he most enjoys so he answered all of our questions (there were a lot) and thought us the recipes passed down to him from his grandma. After the cooking it was time to eat! Giacomo’s cute daughter was the perfect help with serving the amazing dishes for lunch that Giacomo made with our own pasta and the wine pairings were divine. With full bellies, new skills and a happy heart we said goodbye to Giacomo and his family. Later that day we recieved pictures of us taking during the course and the recipes. We can’t wait to make them at home! Thank you só much Giacomo, we’ll be back!

We very much enjoyed our Tuscan Cooking class experience! Giacomo & Cristiana and their daughter were very gracious hosts. The class was part hands on and part demonstration. The 3 of them worked together seamlessly through the many moving parts of preparing a 5 course meal. We can’t wait to use the recipes they shared when we get home!

Our class with Giacomo & Cristiana was simply amazing! Giacomo was a wonderful guide through this experience that should not be missed. Every stage of the class was intentional with no wasted movements without the experience feeling mechanical. It is truly masterful how he brought generations of the love of cooking and family into the setting and we cannot wait to bring this knowledge back into our homes. Do yourself a favor and sign up for this opportunity, you won’t regret it!

Our best meal during the three weeks traveling Italy? The meal that we prepared in our Le Caggiole cooking class (pappardelle, gnocchi, Chianina, and tiramisu--secret family recipe that Giacomo and Cristiana share). I had so much fun, I swapped family travel mates with friends and participated in the Le Caggiole cooking class eight months later.
Le Caggiole cooking classes are the real deal: a family affair who grow, inspect, and acquire the food supplies. Of course, the class is taught and served by the family also, whose Tuscan roots extend more than seven generations.
Giacomo cares about quality ingredients, and it tastes like it! He believes simple, quality ingredients make the best food, and prepares a meal plan that allows one to spend time enjoying guests, and not sweating in the kitchen. The classes are small enough that Giacomo and Cristiana can demonstrate techniques and guide you, so you have the confidence to make your own perfect five-course authentic Italian meal.
Two trips to Montepulciano, and Le Caggiole’s cooking class has been my favorite activity, hands down! Grazie, Giacomo and Cristiana!

What a wonderful experience we will take with us and use (hopefully) for a long time. Chef Giacomo is a thoughtful and talented person with generational experience. He takes his craft seriously and explains every step of the process, including the ingredients and techniques. I loved that his wife Cristina and Maria took photos so we were not disrupted. My favorite food I had for the first time in my life was the pici. It was out of this world and made with simple ingredients. Lovely wine pairings and amazing dessert, wish I had more room for it, but I’ll come back next time and do it again. It was well worth it!

What an experience with Giacomo and Cristiana. We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to have a private experience with them. They were extremely kind, welcoming, and were ready to go upon arrival! Their location was really close to Montepluciano, literally like a 5 minute drive from hilltop. Easy private parking lot to access their place. The inside of the home was beautiful and rustic tuscan vibes with tables setup for accommodating more guests during the class. He walked us through all of the things we would be making and his wife assisted in providing the cleanup and mis en place prior to each dish along with taking some pictures along the way. The main focus of actually helping was definitely heavier into the pasta and desert portion (i.e. parpadelle, gnocchi, and tiramisu). Was great to get to see how the gnocchi was made and get a feeling into making pasta in a proper way. It was also great to get to ask questions along the way which I feel like is the most important aspect. All of the dishes were fantastic and tasted incredible. It's actually amazing how simple some of them are, but the way they're cooked really bring out the aromas and flavors. It was delicious, with a great wine pairing to boot. I will say the only thing that I thought we would do more of was actually cooking. We were more prepping than cooking in my opinion, but at the same time, it was probably unrealistic to do a five course meal and have all these pots and pans only to have someone mess up and start over. We more-so prepped and then watched a majority of cooking be done and demonstrated to us. Regardless, it was still a great time. We were very honored to be able to have these family dishes and techniques shared with us. It was really special to meet the whole family there and have some conversations with the local people and was an unforgettable experience! Thanks guys

My friend and I had the absolute pleasure of joining Giacomo and his lovely family for a day of cooking in September of this year. I can honestly say it was the highlight of my trip through Tuscany. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted and by the end of the day we felt like family. Giacomo is an excellent chef, sharing his talent for cooking with us and letting us in on the secret of how to make absolutely delectable food, with a few fresh tasty ingredients. The meal we prepared was my favorite meal of my entire two week trip, especially the gnocchi...absolutely fabulous. Everything during the cooking portion was incredibly well organized and we were provided with ample time to prepare our food with memorable hands-on experience. In addition, everything was very clean/sanitary. I loved that Giacomo's wife took photos of us during the class and sent them to us after so we could truly be present and did not need to use our phones at all. It was very special to gather together after we finished cooking so we could dine and enjoy the meal as a group. A special treat was that Giacomo provided perfect wine pairings and explanations as he is well versed in food and wine. I cannot speak more highly of this experience, and I truly feel it is a must do while in Tuscany. I will absolutely be back and will recommend this to all my family and friends traveling to Italy!

My wife and I took this class on our visit to Montepulciano and wanted to hone existing cooking skills & develop new ones. Giacomo & Cristiana did not disappoint - showing us how to: find the freshest local ingredients; use very little specialized equipment; manage kitchen work effectively to maximize time with family/guests; and lastly, they provided ubiquitous & critical" cooking pearls of wisdom" & techniques (no doubt from Giacomo's grandmother). With their guidance, we crafted a 5-course meal of restaurant quality. The menu included a thoughtful progression of simple yet refined & delicious offerings that Giacomo's students could easily & confidently recreate at home even under dinner party pressure.
    Mille grazie Chef!

If you want an authentic and very fun Italian cooking experience, this is it! Giacomo and his wife Cristiana are so warm and welcoming and immediately put us at ease.
Giacomo was very organized and wasted no time communicating his passion for quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation.
There was lots of hands on learning. Giacomo is a great teacher! We had so much fun making gnocchi and papparadelle and were proud of our results! We were excited to receive a family recipe for a wonderful tiramisu which we also prepared ourselves. The appetizer and meat dish were prepared by Giacamo as he shared techniques and knowledge refined over years.
At the end,we enjoyed a fantastic five course meal with wine pairings.
If you have a chance to take this class, don’t hesitate! It was a highlight of our trip and we are excited to share our new skills with friends and family! I should mention, Giacomo’s English is excellent. It was easy to ask lots of questions, exchange information, share stories and make new friends.

Everything about this experience exceeded our expectations. We not only learned how to make exceptional Italian cuisine but we also learned the “why” for many of the techniques utilized in the preparations. Giacomo is a skilled teacher and is passionate about the history and traditions of his cooking. As a sommelier his pairings for each course were not only perfect but he explained why they were. This was time well spent and a value for the money.
