- murielp9200 contributionsFantastic dinner in wine bistroWhat a wonderful wine bistro! Interesting and varied wine list. The food was excellent. The space was inviting. We had a fantastic dinner with local orecchiette and turnip tops and homemade lasagna. Deliciosa!Written 25 November 2024
- angelesdeo0 contributionsLots of fun to enjoy a great time with friendsYlenia and Rita were excellent. We had tons of fun making the pasta and tasting the wine. Then we ate the pasta and had other wines.Written 25 October 2024
- alisonmO4635AN0 contributionsNice experience to have in LecceThe experience itself was great. Wine was lovely and nibbles too. The only negative thing would be too many people in our class which made it hard to hear or see instructor. I think there were 28 (probably due to the bad weather) otherwise a lovely experience in Lecce.Written 20 October 2024
- Amanda B0 contributionsDefinitely worth itCan't believe anyone wrote bad reviews about this experience. It was so much fun and excellent value for money even in NZ$ The wine flowed and delicious bites to eat whilst having fun making then eating the pasta. Teacher was fantastic and full of energy we definitely recommend anyone to do this activity!Written 19 September 2024
- joellebaxx0 contributionsLoved making the pasta! We enjoyed the course a lot! Everyone was very friendly, the wine was great and the pasta even better! Learned a lot about how to make the pasta and all the techniques! Definitely a good suggestion if you are looking for a cookingclass in/near Lecce!Written 13 September 2024
- xavierlJ2576AS0 contributionsFun and simple recipeThe chef made pasta making seem easy!! Was very fun and lighthearted. The ingredients are easy to find at home, making it a recipe I will try again when I get back. Very fun experienceWritten 1 September 2024
- OnAir353728175090 contributionsGreat experienceSo fun! Enjoyable experience. Then we got to eat them after, paired w/ local wine. Cute location. Weirdly just ended at the end but would definitely recommend.Written 22 July 2024

- Planetsmith0 contributionsWine tasting with a difference. We visited this wonderful wine bar three times, once as part of a pasta making course which ended with a wine tasting, and then twice more for tutored tastings of Puglian wines and local dishes. The owner was knowledgeable and presented wines of considerable variety all from within 50km of Lecce. The food dishes were tasty and just enough. I thoroughly recommend a stop by La Strada for a wine-led experience when in Lecce.Written 22 June 2024
- hahigginson0 contributionsWaste of 2.5hours of your tripI don’t normally write bad reviews as I reckon most are just bad experiences for me but this was particularly bad. The pasta making in itself is good but that takes maybe 30-40mins of your time. There were 17 on our course and it was a tight squeeze! Also made it hard to hear or see instructions. A glass of wine was provided during pasta making with a small piece of cheese on a stick with a taralli. No information on the wine was given. You then spend time getting photos taken and moving to a restaurant to wait for the pasta to be cooked. Please note - this is NOT your pasta, it is the pasta made by the 17 individuals in the room. This to me is kind of gross - I have no idea of hygiene standards of others and there were no regulations other than ‘this is where you wash your hands…’ You get a glass of rose wine with 2 taralli topped with soft cheese, quarter of a tomato and half an olive. We waited for an hour to receive a glass of red wine and the pasta and I hope you can see the stodgy mess with insipid ‘sauce’ and an optional sprinkling of cheese… we did not eat! Had our final glass of red with a biscotti (actually quite nice) and left after expressing our disappointment to the lady taking the final part of our €130 (yes €130! I did tell her I thought it was an expensive way to waste 90 mins waiting for a bowl of inedible pasta but she disagreed 🤷♀️Written 11 June 2024
- M2528DNianh0 contributionsNot worth doingSupposedly a 2 hour experience. 45 mins sat in a restaurant waiting for what turned out to be overcooked orecchiette with a less than flavoursome tomato sauce. Wines were of standard quality. The cooking class itself was good fun and I did learn from that. The demo room was overcrowded however. Not a great way to spend valuable time in a lovely cityWritten 11 June 2024
- nathanjD5793YP0 contributionsFriendly and fun pasta making experienceGreat experience! Good value for money and would absolutely recommend anyone to do this. We spent roughly one hour preparing the pasta and were able to taste 4 different wines from the region. The hosts were very friendly and spoke great English.Written 7 June 2024
- Spiderwoman0 contributionsFabulous time!We really enjoyed the cooking class. There was only 8 of us including our family of 4 and 2 friends (who live in Germany) and a couple (from Australia). We connected very quickly which made the class more fun. The chef gave us clear directions and was very helpful. Our orrechitte turned out very good. We also got to sample some cheese and other snacks not to mention 4 different wines. Great experience!Written 2 June 2024
- lucyp8720 contributionsExcellent pasta making morning! The class taught is how to turn basic ingredients into orecchiette pasta. We started by making the dough with two simple ingredients. (Flour and Water) Then we rolled and rolled the dough while the instructor guided us the entire way in order to achieve the perfect thickness. Then we cut and she taught us how to shape it. All ending with the best part. Tasting the tenderness and flavorful creation we prepared. Wine was served throughout alongside a few tasty apps. We met travelers from around the world in this tiny restaurant in the middle of Lecce's old town. Buon Appetito!Written 20 May 2024

It was disappointing as the wine guide was also serving in his wine bar. You could not hear him talk about the wine, he seemed very disengaged with the group that was there. The food was basic and not tasty at all. I would not waste your money.

Hello and thank you for your visit.
Yes the wine guide also serves in his wine bar, we don't see anything strange in what looks so strange for you and so normal to us.
If you could not hear the presentations you could have asked to speak louder and he would have certainly accomodated you. 4 glasses of wine and snacks is a good price for what you get in the tasting. Please notice this is a tasting, not a dining experience.

This is a brilliant wine tasting experience! It takes place on one of the streets in the historic centre of Lecce so you can people watch whilst enjoying the wines. Each of our four wines was delicious and all were accompanied by generous portions of tasty local food. Each wine was introduced by our very knowledgeable host, who spoke perfect English.
This was a fantastic experience and is great value for money. We really enjoyed it!

Our host was very knowledgeable and we found out a lot about local vineries. We received a detailed history of each of 4 wines tasted with tasting notes. There's an option of purchasing the wine too! Local specialties matched the wines brilliantly, would recommend it!

We enjoyed our introduction to Salento wines with Ylenia very much! She was warm, knowledgeable and passionate about the local wines. Food that paired with our wine tasting was plentiful and flavorful. We also left with a personalized list of suggestions for our time in Lecce. Much appreciated!

Great wine tasting and appetizer event in a small bistrot in old town Lecce. They even made appetizer accommodations for me as I am gluten free! Very much appreciated. Highly recommend for a fun outing.

We were desperate to do some wine tasting while visiting Italy and La Strada Del vino did not disappoint!! Located in the old town of Lecce it was a perfect location. The selection of wines accompanied by Italian cuisine was perfect and such value for money. We were paired up with one other table for the experience and had such a good time. Sound knowledge on wines, great atmosphere and very friendly staff and owners. The Five Roses Rose was a particular favorite wine! Would highly recommend a visit here!!!
