    Massimo was the bomb.
We were so lucky to be the only folks on this English-speaking tour. Massimo was fantastic. So knowledgable on the tour and so helpful with tips about great places to go after our tour to make sure we experienced the best Lecce had to offer. Top marks for him. The only note is that if we hadn't purchased this in advance it would have been less expensive to purchase at the ticket office. But then again, the tour might not have been offered so 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Best way to learn about the city
Max was an excellent tour guide, we learned a lot and it was a very engaging and personalized tour. His English is fluent and he really brought the city to life. I would highly recommend doing this if you’re in Lecce!

    Lovely day in Lecce
The tour was great. Our guide Luigi Leante, was really nice and really tried to speak with us in Spanish because all the group was a mix of Argentinians and Spanish people. It was very informative and we could ask many questions. We also tried a few places to eat real Italian pastries and wine. We loved him.

Solide tour but could slow the pace and stick to the script
English version this morning was only 4 people, which made it easier to engage with our guide and especially ask questions. Tour was informative, and our guide Max was friendly and funny. We didn't go to all the 'included in the tour' sights while we did see a few others. Max' english ability was almost perfect when describing places and events, but his capability to understand our questions was slightly lacking resulting in his not answering questions even after we re-phrased them and asked them again. This happened at least 3 times. Mild distraction and maybe we could have been clearer, but both my wife and I noticed this. Also we felt a bit rushed througout the tour, started almost 10 minutes late and were somewhat abruptly left at our last stop with 'time still on the clock'. Life happens and perhaps something came up, but it was less than ideal. I think 2.5 hours is really needed to do everything on the list justice, especially (I assume) in the summer high season.

Thank you for sharing the history of such a wonderful city with us!
Visiting from Australia, we had stayed in Lecce for a few days before deciding to sign up for an English-speaking tour of the Old Town. Francesca was a wonderful guide - we highly recommend this tour to anyone curious about Lecce and it's origins! Good value for money, guided access to a few of the churches/museums, and engaging history of the Old Town. Francesca was easy to listen to, happily answered questions and we thoroughly enjoyed her expansive knowledge about different periods of Lecce's past - her explanation of the Baroque finishings was excellent. A 2 hour walking tour might sound like a challenge but it went by quickly as we explored a selection of the buildings, monuments and significant locations around the Old Town. Grazie Francesca! :)

We were very fortunate to have had Max as our tour guide. We began with a quick tour of the "underground" Jewish museum and learned how the synagogue became a church, then a home, and evolved into the Jewish museum. It was not an easy journey for the researchers to uncover the origins of the Jewish community in Lecce. Today, no Jews reside in the city and there was no local source for the history. Next, we learned about the exterior of the beautiful Cathedral de Santa Croce and went inside for more history and glorious photos. Max lead us past the Roman colosseum and its discovery and excavation. Nearby was the grand column that was adorned with St. Oronzo, the adjacent early church and city hall, city walls, amphitheater, the duomo, and so many other tidbits of interest about Lecce. Max's English was perfect and he was cautious for our safety. Plus, he was always open for conversation and questions. Since we were traveling in the off-season of mid-March, we had a private tour that was well worth it.

We joined the tour seeing Baroque Lecce! cost €20 per person including entrance to the churches and guide! The professor. Bianco acted as a guide around the city, making the visitor curious about the lesser-known aspects and also providing information on food and typical features of the city.

This was by far one of the best tours I’ve ever did. The tour comprised only 4 persons, so it was an intimate one, and most importantly, it included persons who are genuinely interested in the history and culture of Lecce’s baroque architecture. Our tour guide, Mr Luigi Bianco, was excellent - the tonality of his voice and the way he animated the tour captures you immediately, as are the little highly interesting (and sometimes funny as well) anecdotes thrown randomly. He is extremely knowledgeable about the subject, and he gave us valid insight at each stop. Can’t recommend him enough, and this is truly the first time I’m giving full stars in each category, from start to finish.

We went today with my wife on a 2-hour private tour at a cost of 15 euros plus 6 for 2 church entrances. We were 4 Italians, certainly few for the period, and together with the guide Luigi Leante we had a great experience. Luigi has excellent professionalism, you can see that he loves his profession. Well done and thanks Luigi. I can suggest visiting the Jewish museum at the end of the tour after visiting everything else first. Advised.

Magnificent Tour with Luigi Leante, who in addition to being very knowledgeable has the so-called X factor, i.e. an inspiration/gift in describing the city as if we were directly experiencing the events narrated. We add a particular charm to its dialectics.
Beautiful experience with detailed explanation of the origin and consumption of espresso coffee with ice and almond milk (Leccese coffee).

Anna was the tour guide. She did a great job - making jokes and adding insight to the very deep and detailed history of Lecce. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour! A note: the sign says 15 Euro, but to include the admission to the churches, it is actually 26 Euro. Worth every penny! I will take the same darn tour next time we visit this fabulous city! LOVED IT!

Visiting Lecce was already breathtaking, then coupled with Mr Luigi Bianco's insights, explanations and amusing chronicles made it even more memorable. His delivery was engaging, fruitful and kept us wanting for more information and historical details. He made us and another couple (so it was quite an intimate group) comprehend Lecce's architectural (internal and external), religious and historical value. Two hours just flew by. I really wouldn't have minded at all if it had been longer! Mr Bianco was brilliant - highly recommended!

When Booking Referral I paid 15 €/person. Another €5 was collected at the meeting point. Before leaving we were told that we will also visit churches, if we want to go into the churches we have to pay an additional 6 €/person (we can also wait outside.
Let everyone see for themselves.
