What a great half day tour of the Lake District! It was our v first visit to the area and Simon was a fantastic guide showing us the key sites. We found him v friendly, articulate and knowledgeable about the area. Our party of 6 included my elderly parents who also found Simon highly considerate particularly helping them into and out of the MPV each time there was a stop, which was much appreciated. My father really appreciated Simon’s effort to stop by the famous poet Wordsworth’s home in Grasmere as it was a particular wish of his. In summary, we couldn’t have been happier with the tour and would definitely recommend Simon very highly to anyone wishing to have a private guided tour of this beautiful area.

Simon's lake tour did not leave us wanting to go home, to James or anyone else! We could have just stayed in the lovely lake district and stared at the beauty of the hills and water forever. This area of England is vast, lovely and amazing. Without a guide, such as Simon, one would certainly be driving around in traffic and missing the views. Simon is not only knowledgeable of the region, he really seems to enjoy the location himself. Simon's love of the area was not missed on this tour. We saw all of the lakes, and explored some history, shopped in the small village of Hawkshead, hiked to a waterfall and were constantly wowed by the views! Simon was kind enough to take us to a market at the tour's end to purchase some needed items. You will enjoy the stunning lakes and you'll be riding with a "lake expert". Take this tour!

The quality of the tour exceeded our expectations. Simon arrived 10:00 AM sharp to pick us up at our hotel driving a comfortable van with AC, snacks and water. Clear accent (we, non native speakers, had absolutely no trouble understanding the narrative), intimate knowledge of the Lake District, attentive and friendly attitude constituted the wonderful overall experience despite a rainy-windy weather. Tour locations offer breathtaking views and a glimpse at a somewhat secluded lifestyle of Lake District's villages. The tour itself and meeting Simon were a perfect way to start learning about the district.

What a great way to explore the Lake District. Our tour guide Simon was amazing, such a great guy. He was knowledgeable, accommodating and very personable so easy to get along with and connected with everyone in our party. We got to see some wonderful scenery and sights that included stunning Aria Force waterfall and Castlerigg Stone circle amongst others too many to mention. Simon driving skills were superb and his vehicle was spotless. Everyone enjoyed the treats that he had ready and waiting for us on our tour and the music was an added bonus We also used him as our taxi around town. We saw all the mountains/walls/farmhouses/rivers and animals we would never have seen on a bus tour. And Simon is an area expert, we tried to stump him on questions to no avail. He is a wealth of local and lore knowledge. He took us off the beaten path and shared wonderful scenery and stopped as we requested by some less known but very interesting sites. Simon was gracious enough to share a meal with us and when we missed our ferry ride, he was kind enough to drive us to its destination -- with no complaints, nothing but a smile. What a wonderful fellow and excursion, can't recommend enough to those about to jump o a bus with 10 other people.

Simon gave an amazing tour to me and my fiancé which was very enjoyable. Simon is incredibly knowledgable about the local area and taught us many interesting things about the history of the Lake District. Simon also went above and beyond and reorganised our tour for us from a previous date as we were ill with covid. We would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Lake District.

We did a four hour trip with Simon.. The brief given to Simon was to take us off the beaten track to places we would never find on our own.. that is exactly what he did.. such amazing scenery and special locations.. couldn’t fault it.. chocolates and refreshments were also provided on the trip and he was a very genuine and informative guide.. nothing was too much trouble.. opened doors for us and gave a helping hand to the ladies who needed it. We ran over out time but he was chilled about it. Even took pictures and videos for us and sent them at the end of the day via WhatsApp.. nothing was too much trouble.. A great trip.! Would do it all again..

Travelled up from Liverpool and went on a four hour tour and it was simply amazing! Firstly, we had decided on the tour at the last minute and spoke to Simon on the evening before to enquire about availability. He was very helpful and booked us in for a tour the next morning. The tour itself was brilliant. Simon is a thorough Gentleman and made us feel so relaxed from the very first minute. The vehicle is very comfortable and if you want a tour without the hassles and stress of having to drive and navigate yourself to the various sites, then I recommend you look no further. Simon was very knowledgeable of the area and was very accommodating in ensuring the tour was taken at our pace and at same time ensuring we covered as much as possible within the time. Definitely would look to use Simon again for future tours.

Amazing tour exploring the whole of the Lake District with a very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. Perfect thing to do if you want to visit the Lake District. You get amazing views, fun things to do, amazing historical landmarks with the fantastic tour guide taking you through the history of them, and much more. Best thing to do if you want to see the breathtaking sights of the Lake District in a convenient 4 hours. Magnificent tour guide who knows everything about the Lake District and has great customer service and knows how to accommodate his customers well. In my opinion, it’s the best tour in the Lake District. FANTASTIC!
