Do not book from national express freudsters!!!
Booking fee turns up even when you do booking from your account. They know it is illegal but they do not care. I wrote them but looks like they just taking a piss. Nice words and nothing else done to fix it. F.... them, i better use a cab.

    Seamless service
Used for the first time from Heathrow to Plymouth and a return trip a few days later. Great service, ran spot on time, staff at boarding and drop off pleasant and helpful. Would certainly use again.

    Really good!
Very impressed. Took a through the night return trip between Carlisle and London. Ideal timing both ways for what we needed. Punctual efficient and friendly drivers. I would like to say that out Driver Alan for the return was very helpful and accomodating, the onboard toilet was unavailable, and he made an additional quick stop for my son which was greatly appreciated. Never really been one for coach travel but this has certainly changed my mind, and I will definitely be checking for when I need to travel in the future.

    Bad experience
Not a reliable company when it comes to ticket refunds and ticket changes. The website seems to drop you back and forth between pages. Very hard to find the contact details. When you finally reached out they say that you should have asked for a refund no later than 24h prior to departure. Even if you bought your ticket on the departure day. So in result they kept my money. I never had any experience like this before with other companies. I will avoid it from now.

    Even more careless
It gets worse, I now understand why you miss your coach. They roll in the bus down the heathrow bus stop road with the sign saying , "Not in service". Had I not ask the young man who was on the side walk to reassure me for my next upcoming 935am slot I would not have known. If I was driving I would give you my best, so give me your best back. Put the sign up so people can you coming in and it is clear for all those who are on the sidewalk to know that's their service. Put this in pratice you will reduce confusion. Sevondly, leave according to the accurate departure time given to you and you customer. Don't mess around making up your own rules. You will not have as many bad reviews or problems. Have some character in the way you carry out you job. Even more careless. All the best to improving. (Megabus is better cheaper and direct service for those planning to book coach travels in future)

    Avoid at all cost
When you arrive at the coach station you bought a return ticket for and you discover a timetable running 24-7, you are pretty confident you will get to the airport on time. Except that this timetable only has decorative value, as the service at this stop ends at 5h20PM (as the client service told me with ingenuity). In a word, this company offer poor service, close to a con. To add a bit of flavor to my experience: when asked at Stansted Airport, the company agent selling the return ticket answered my question regarding the return "oh, you just get there and take a coach". As it happened, the true answer should have been : "get on the internet site and book a seat with this ticket". So, you know when you can leave the airport, but not if you will be able to manage to get back there. Avoid at all cost. As a service, the decorative (and utterly false) timetable as a picture.

    Rip off charges
Ticket was £8.80. Additional small 10kg suitcase was charged at @15.00. Some passengers paid whilst some did not pay. Rip off charges to pay dividends

    Rubbish Service
National Express is the antithesis of express. A 1hr 20min journey from Birmingham to Leicester took 1hr 50min. It’s a parallel world we live in, where it is the opposite of what’s advertised. The driver murmurs over the speaker. A left hook to the jaw might solve that issue, or may be sniff less drugs before driving. My man also thought he is from his country of origin, hooting at every car and its dog. Then you speak to an automated text service that says someone will call you back about the poor service, but no one does. Never travel with these utter morons. Probably get better customer service out of a corpse.

National Express extremely poor service and resolution
Heathrow to Dudley, dumped in Birmingham, no contingency plan by National Express for the driver who did not show up, incompetent customer service operators who knew nothing, incomplete journey, dishonoured their obligation. 2 months after apparent resolution of complaint, a voucher for subsequent travel within 12 months. Here's the hint National Express, if I'm travelling from Heathrow, I'm an international traveller, who expected to get to the destination paid for. I will not be returning to the UK within 12 months, and if by some unfortunate event I do, I WILL NOT go near your coach service.

    Very bad experience
At Victoria Coach Station, we looked for the Stansted Airport coach. We went to the right door where it was written Stansted Airport. We went to the coach driver and we noticed the coach did not have the light on saying the destination of the coach. We showed our National Express tickets to the driver and he saw the tickets. We ended up to Luton Airport instead of Stansted Airport. The National Express coach was very rude with us. We lost our flight.

National Express - profit over customer first business
A business that is NOT customer centric or does the customer come first, but instead profits come before their clientele. Was meant to catch a service to Heathrow to catch a flight. However their service has more than an hour delay due to congestion. Noting there wasn't an accident that was causing a delay, but rather heavy traffic. Thus I had to catch an Uber to the airport to ensure I didn't miss my flight. When I tried to apply for a refund, they quoted all their relevant policies to avoid any form of a refund, instead offered me 25% discount. This is outrageous as they should be building in buffer into their services to account for the usual traffic (they have operated long enough to have enough data to build this in), but instead opted to run tight schedules to maximise profit but to put their clienteles travel plans at risk. Your customer service and customer approach is absolutely disgusting!

    No air conditioning- unbearably hot
The bus nx540 to Manchester had no air conditioning. It was so hot and smelly that it was unbearable. The toilet smelt so bad as well. The megabus that we took to London was by a landslide better than the national express.

Consistently unreliable on the bus 460 route
Consistently unreliable on the bus 460 route. They changed departure from Warwick Parkway to Heathrow - 1.5 hrs delay - no communication. On the return journey from Heathrow, the departure was changed from 8:30am to 8:00am. Again, no communication whatsoever. And then the bus driver decided to leave early - before 8:00am - so of course we missed it. The bus loading was not announced on the public address. The bus driver on this route is likely a key part of the problem. National Express just lost two more customers.

    Coaches Broken down too often
Out of 9 coach trips this year, 4 have been delayed by an average of 1 hour due to waiting for replacements. That’s not a good average when you need to be somewhere. Don’t the coaches get regular maintenance to avoid this?

I asked the lady named Filxxx working at the coaches for national express on 7/02/20 at 16:00 how I could get tickets for the company she represented and she totally ignored me!!!I insisted asking and she pretended that she did not hear me. Really rude of her. Also I noticed the attitude she had to the ones waiting...she treated them as if they were sheep!I decided to use an other company as the fare was exactly the same.

I take this opportunity to denounce National Express for the bad service I received last month when I was traveling in London. It is inadmissible that you sell more tickets than the allowed to cover all the seats, because of that there was overbooking and I could not take the bus I had booked to Luton Airport the night of Sunday 6th of March, the driver was polite and told me to call National customer service but there was no service and I had to wait desperately. The next bus was going to Stansted and the driver started to insult and intimidate the passengers shoving and almost hitting one of them. I don't know how such a big company can allow such actions and negligence. Finally I got on the next bus to Luton and had to run as I have never done before to avoid missing the flight. I arrived 5 minutes before the boarding gates closed because of National Express.

In December I booked a ticket from Marble Arch station to Luton Airport and I missed the bus because of the wrong meeting point.

As I am not familiar with all the areas in London I have choosen to follow the link provided by National Express in the confirmation email. The map link provided by them took me to a wrong meeting point on a paralel street wich lead to me missing the bus.

Unfortunatley the customers service was very slow in replying and not very interested in helping the clients.

I advise you to not buy the ticket in advance and specially not with a flexi one, because even if you miss the bus you will not be able to pick up the next one.

I ended up paying another ticket, never got refunded from National Express. Luckly every 10-20 minutes there is another bus going to Luton Airport. I went with Green Line and I was able to pay in the bus directly.

I will never use or recommend National Express again.

I chose the "change and go" option in case our flight was delayed. Also we got the message from our airline to be earlier at the airport so we wanted to take an earlier bus ("change and go" is extra charged, which I payed). It turned out that there is no place in the bus so we couldn't get to the airport. Don't even bother to chose "change and go" and pay for it!

We were a group of tired and chaotic Italians, but our driver Julian, on a ride from Marble Arch to London Luton really went the extra mile to support us and help us on board too.

Julian's positivity and manner really changed the day of some of us, after a very tiring journey. Thanks a lot!

The bus was also very comfortable!

My wife booked 2 tickets to travel from London to Luton Airport to catch a flight to Amsterdam.

We arrived the station on time, but the bus never show up so we use the bus tracker and see the delay is one hour.

We played it safe already for reserving plenty of time to go to the Airport. We waited for 1 hour and 15 mins extra, and the bus just passed in front of us without stopping! We had to ride on another coaches from another company to get to the airport.

Just terrible, do not use this service if you have to commute to the airport.

Worst experience ever!!! I do not recoomend. Nobody told us we have the posibility to buy tickets with a fixed departure and we had to wait 2 hours to get on the bus. They did not want to refund our tickets. I do not recommend. Better take other options train or anything else!!!

Excellent way to journey between London and Luton airport. Special mention for Driver Mentor Pat on Wednesday 6/3 at 1530 from Victoria who has the patience of a saint and navigated a road closure on M1 and kept us all informed. Good job.

Had to take a bus from Victoria to Luton(reference code NH209)
After the driver told me where to buy the ticket from(because he will not sell it to me, even though he sold to other people), he did not allow me to get on the bus at first, he just stood there with the door closed laughing at me and saying that I should take the next one, even though I will miss my plane.Keep in mind that during this time I was still very respectful and not even once did I raise my voice.

After some negociation with a staff member I managed to get onboard.

After that, he started to drive really slowly, and even stopped for 10 minutes, just so we could miss out flight.Thank god the boarding process was slow and we managed to get on the plane.

This is the first negative review that I ever give and it's well deserved. You don't have to be rude with me just because I'm not brittish.
