Overview
Roll up your sleeves for an Austrian cooking class in Salzburg, and create two of the country’s beloved desserts: apple strudel and the signature soufflé of Salzburger Nockerl. Under the guidance of a chef, you’ll stretch pastry and mix ingredients as you learn about the food and chat with the rest of the group. As a bonus, a hearty bowl of goulash soup is served before you eat your creations. Numbers are limited to just five people for a small-group cooking experience.
What to Expect
Participants of this program will learn how to prepare an original Austrian Apple Strudel and the local speciality Salzburger Nockerl. During the class you will be guided by an experienced chef. Small Groups of 3 to 5 people will be asked to fully partake in all the stages of preparation. Activities such as stretching out the pastry can be a lot of fun and the whole experience of making the strudel is guaranteed to be as rewarding as enjoying the final outcome itself. Additional to the Apple Strudel, participants have the chance to try their hands on to one of the most famous and spectacular Dessert in Salzburg - the Salzburger Nockerl. In order not to spoil the surprise, it can be only told this much - it will be a lot of fun. The program includes also for lunch a traditional and tasty goulash soup which will be served before you get our own cooked creations.

A great afternoon!

Great activity for the family! Highly recommend the opportunity to roll up your sleeves and make strudel and nockerl from scratch. Just delicious!

A Perfect Afternoon!

We had fun making two pastries and eating them with a bowl of delicious soup. The venue is a 400 or so year old cave which is really cool. A great experience!

A fun, refreshing, delicious break in Salzburg that you won't forget

After looking passively at historic buildings and monuments, it's a pleasant change to actively DO something Austrian. The cooking school is just a cavernous room in a mountain, right in the centre of Salzburg. Limited to about a dozen "students" of varying culinary expertise, from...More

No problem. I was joined up with two other people. There are about 5 tables with 3 or 4 people on each one.
