Our guide, Oli was an excellent guide and very informative however from a food perspective it was very disappointing as we only experienced Icelandic Hot Dogs (amazing) and a fish meal (fantastic) which was not what we were promised. We were expecting a more varied experience.

Alize Travelling Iceland designed programs for us not just in the Reykjavik area but also in the North . The owner Helga is very accommodating and flexible and added activities as per our liking. It became made to measure . There was no closing time and she herself stayed with us as long as was required .Overall Alize travelling Iceland is excellent. They covered the Diamond Circle and took us to Geysers and spectacular waterfalls

We booked a private tour with the Family and it was a wonderful experience. This is the second time we booked our vacation with this company and the experience was amazing as always. Hopefully next visit we will pick more places to visit and see in Iceland

Addy our guide was Great! In addition to be very knowledgeable she was enormously helpful and the most patient tour guide I have ever encountered and I have had many in my 35+ year of international travel.

We had a wonderful experience our first time visiting Iceland. From the start, Helga and Hugrun helped plan the tours tailored to our interests. We had great tour guides and a very busy schedule. Maria took us on the Golden Circle tour; "Gulli" was our guide for the 2 day south coast tour. Both were great, with a wealth of information and much appreciated sense of humor. We had small group tours, and met some very nice people. Only regrets: didn't actually see the Northern Lights, so we'll have to come back!!

Touring Iceland is definitely a class act.Well researched and routed. Not only did we see all the spectacular sights there are to see in the south island, but a taste of culture, geology, history, myths and legends and expertise that would be difficult to rival anywhere. A memorable tour thanks to our marvellous guide Addy. Addy had passion and expertise, and gave us thorough information about Reykjanes and geology. She was also very responsive to our expectations and went out of her way to make this the best tour we had in Iceland.

This was fantastic, our guide Egill was very informative and I learned a lot about the geography of Iceland. I loved the different stops and the walks to see the pots of interest. I especially liked the bridge of two continents. Of course I had to use the Instagram filter at the spot were Volcano Man from the movie Eurovision was filmed. We did Sky Lagoon instead of Blue Lagoon at the end of the day. It was so relaxing to sit at the edge of the pool and watch the sky.

This tour is great! Not only did we learn history we stopped and sampled tastes of the region. I wimped out on the fermented shark but tried all the other samples. Loved hearing about Margaret’s favorites and her memories of growing up in Iceland. My favorite stop, after walking in a cold rain, was the coffee shop and a warm latte. Delightful! Great tour!

We had an absolutely phenomenal time during our recent two week dream vacation in Iceland. In fact, we didn't want to leave - we could have happily stayed on for many more weeks. During our time in this gorgeous and otherworldly country, we were so well cared for by Helga Bára Bartels Jónsdóttir, PhD - CEO of Travelling Iceland. Helga and her fabulous team helped us safely and comfortably traverse the entire country, taking in all of the sites, in style. Despite the fact that Icelandic people speak perfect English, I would not recommend that Americans or other foreign visitors attempt to traverse this land without local guides. This is rugged and unusual terrain and Iceland is best enjoyed alongside Icelandic people who know the ins and outs of their beautiful country. During our trip, Travelling Iceland connected us with the following tours and tour guides, all of whom we recommend without reservation: 2 day South coast (guide: Steini), Golden Circle & Reykjavík + Blue Lagoon: (guide: Úlfar), and Þórsmörk (guide: Bjoggi).
