The trip covered everything and more that they advertise 👍 Our guide Vjeran was a very safe driver and an excellent guide. Our day has flown by and loads of photos. Vjeran was super informative and his knowledge about taking best photos/videos was spot on 👍

          Rude man guide
The guide for the tour, a man, was rude and unprofessional. He allowed a friend to join him on the bus during the tour and spent the entire time talking loudly with him, completely ignoring the group. Additionally, the tour organizer has been unresponsive—I’ve sent 20 emails without receiving any reply. Extremely disappointing experience.

Bus never came to pick us up
A whole day wasted. We waited patiently at the designated pickup stop (bus stop #1) at 8:30am. There were about 50 other people waiting for other tours and most were picked up. However, my name was never called, and we never got picked up. I confronted one driver who I thought might be ours but he said we were not on his list. He was a bit dismissive so didn’t try asking him again to double check. We waited for up to an hour and when we finally got in touch with support they basically told us there was nothing they could do as the bus already left the city. I’ve been to numerous countries and never had an issue with logistics. I can’t fathom how the ONE job of a tour company in one of the most beautiful places can fail so miserably. They really need to improve communication, especially at the pickup stops where multiple companies operate. A megaphone and/or better signage would really help I think (if they even bothered to show up in the first place).

Artdic Adventure the worst in Iceland
This is by far the absolute worst company I have ever EVER delt with.We were told to go to the bus stop #9 in Iceland they never showed up !!!! On top of that they told us we were at the wrong stop! I am from the USA where in the world would we come up with bus stop #9 in foreign country if it wasn't told to us. Then there is Marcus who just kept repeating send an email and I'll look into it. At over 8 hundred US dollars and treating us like we did something wrong. I am writing this to WARN all travelers NEVER use this company. After the fact we were told that it was a very shady business and it's not the first time they have done this to unsuspecting travelers please be aware this is a horrible Company

          Loved my experience at Katla!
Our tour involved two different people, Vjeran and an older man who actually took us on the glacier hike. Both were incredible! Super kind, friendly, funny, patient and easy to ask questions. The tour itself wasn't as stressful as I expected, as someone who is scared of heights and expected a lot of physical activity. Just very cold. We even saw a fox on our hike!

          Don’t skip this adventure!!!
My husband and I are in Iceland for our honeymoon (from the states). This was our first adventure and with Fede, our guide. She was absolutely amazing- knowledgeable, fun, and reassuring as we snorkeled on a freezing day!!! She made sure we were comfortable and secure in our gear. We also had a small group of 6, which made the experience more personal (spaced out from other tour groups). Fede also took a few pictures of us which she uploaded to a Google drive within an hour of concluding the tour. The hot chocolate and cookies at the end of the tour were a nice touch. I absolutely recommend going with Arctic Adventures! Thank you Fede :)

          Trip if a Lifetime ruined!
Very disappointed to have my 60th Birthday celebrations ruined due to your Agent booking my trip for the wrong date, followed by your appalling customer service refusing to rectify your company’s mistake. Now when I travel to Iceland on Sunday for what was to be a trip of a lifetime I will not only miss out on the Golden Circle Tour but will have do so in the knowledge that I have paid £135 to be disappointed. 🥲

          Crazy but amazing
My friends thought I was crazy and at time I wondered if I was! The hardest and coldest part was getting into the dry suit but the team there are well oiled and efficient. Multiple checks to ensure all is good and everyone ok. Our guide Danielle was great. The snorkelling itself is amazing and well worth it. My hands got cold but they survived! It’s an experience well worth it.

          Winter snorkelling well worth it.
Great tour. Freezing cold weather but the dry suits and wetsuits were great. Only parts of the face were exposed. Standing around getting ready beforehand and afterwards were probably the coldest parts of the tour - water temp was fine with the extra layers. Would recommend this tour. Crystal clear waters with an amazing underwater view. Great guides that give clear instructions. Anybody can do this. Doesn’t take an athlete.

          Rude
We arrived just under 10 minutes late, we walked up and the two staff didn’t greet us, in fact kept their backs to us as though we weren’t there! I apologised for being a little late to which they told me that check in had closed, everyone was getting ready in the gear and we couldn’t go on the trip!

If you are looking for winter getaway, then Iceland is a must visit!
My husband I were recently on the 6 Day Around Iceland Adventure tour with Arctic Adventures. This was our little getaway to ride out a busy and eventful 2024. We always wanted to see Iceland in the winters and it is an understatement to say that the place is truly mesmerizing. The scenery kept aside which speaks for itself, our trip was made very special by our tour guide Vjeran who was extremely fun and very knowledgeable. We almost missed the first day of our trip due to flight cancellation and by the time we reached, the tour had already started. The staff at Arctic Adventures were extremely cooperative and guided us so we could catch up with the group midway. We got to know from our lovely tour mates that Vjeran was constantly following up about our movements. He was extremely accommodative and ensured that we were picked up mid way so we could join the rest of the tour on Day 1 and we are grateful that he did, as this was truly a trip of a lifetime. With Vjeran's exceptional knowledge of the history, the folklore, all the fun local stories and amazing recommendations for restaurants and fun activities along the way (not to forget his expert driving skills which got us around Iceland in a windy and chilly Iceland winter feeling extremely safe and secure), this was indeed the perfect way to end 2024. With a packed itinerary and a different hotel everyday (all of them welcoming and cozy and in some truly remote and mesmerizing locations), our tour group (nicknamed "team wonderful" by Vjeran) trotted along circling the entire country. Sharing some pics from our massive collection. What a sight that was!

          Memorable tour in Iceland
It was very amazing experience with knowledgeable tour guide that we learned a lot of iceland and heard funny stories. Also, the course of a tour was so satisfying since the nature was so beautiful. And accommodation was decent. However, the only one disappointing thing from this tour is we didn't do a whale tour and we have to afford most of the high price food in iceland. Although, overall the tour was nice.

          Must do trip
Right around Iceland in winter was such a treat. The dark days delivered secrets and spectacles that will stay with me forever. The bus was warm, the accommodation was beautifully diverse, from comfortable hotels to unique farm stays. All added to the feeling that we were really seeing what life in Iceland is like. Along side the spectacular scenery, our guide Vjeran was an addition that absolutely made our trip. He was passionate about the country, provided us, with stories of trolls and elves, alongside facts and details. Recommendations of not only where, but what to eat, made us feel like we were getting some special secret insights. From the first pick up to the final drop off he had us laughing and learning the whole way. His energy and enthusiasm is endless. This is a must do trip.

          Highly recommended tour.
Ronan was our guide. He knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. Even with hard road conditions, we felt safe with his driving at all times. The tour includes beautiful views and landscapes. Our favorite experience was the glacier hike. Although tiring, it was worth it and a once in a lifetime experience. We enjoyed staying at the hotel (Adventure Hotel), the room was a good size and had friendly staff. We would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland.

This was a wonderful tour that covered most of the Ring Road highlights. Lots of beautiful waterfalls a hike on the glacier whale watching and more. Every day was packed full of adventure Our guide Diddi was terrific and provided lots of information about Iceland and it’s history. The hotels were very adequate all with private baths. We were warned in advance of the cost of food and it was by our American standards outrageously expensive. A bowl of soup and bread at lunch was often more than $20 and the dinners were very expensive. So just be prepared. But that cost will be the same with every tour company. Overall this tour was well worth the cost and I highly recommend it. I was also very impressed that when our minibus broke down in miserable weather in the middle of nowhere another guide from a different company came and rescued us and drove us around for the next two days until Arctic Adventures could get a new bus to us. What wonderful cooperation between tour companies. If you are thinking of visiting Iceland don’t hesitate to book with Arctic Adventures

This tour is everything you'd want and more to see the whole country. Now I will say, I think I got a little lucky - the weather ended up being perfect every day and because of the time of year (after the holidays and COVID) we ended up only being a group of 3. This basically made for a private tour around Iceland.
Being a small group allowed our tour guide, Hjalti #666, to kind of cater the group towards what we wanted to do and see. He was able to throw in some extras that weren't part of the normal itinerary including a visit to an amazing farm where he knew the owner. Because of this, it felt very personal and I felt a real part of the country.
I do believe that the way the tour is set up though, this kind of "catering" is available for the larger groups too - it's set up to allow the tour guides to add their own flare to the trip when there is time, and there's always time.
Regardless, the guide and my time in the country was amazing and I actually cried when I had to say goodbye to the little temporary family we created throughout the week.

        Highlights:
        (1) more personal
        (2) you get to see all of Iceland (each day was a different area that presented a completely different picture of Iceland)
        (3) definitely active (you're on a bus a good bit, but there are various hikes and activities to keep you active)
        (4) the schedule wasn't too set and allowed for a lot of flexibility based on the group
        (5) very knowledgeable and down to earth guide
        (6) great for solo travelers who don't want to be alone as you eat with the group too

        Cons:
        (1) It is a bus tour, so you ride a lot, but honestly it allowed for a nice break between the adventures
        (2) I think with a full bus it would be a little crowded

Artic Adventures 8  Day Ring Rd Tour
Artic Adventures provided a well rounded 6 day tour of the Island with hotel accommodation before and after the trip.Central office provided excellent email communications and corrected errors on dates of lodging quickly when brought to their attention.
Van for travel was clean, comfortable, ample room under seats and above bins for rental equipment and personal items for the 15 in our group.Charging port, phone holder with pull down tray included in the newer van.Luggage was placed in Uhaul trailer the van pulled behind, tour guide always put the luggage in and out for us.Our Tour Guide/ Van driver Almar  "Al" had a love for his country that just shined! Our guided tour with crampons at a Glacier was guided by Michael. He was very personable, explained and assisted when needed. He took our tour at the pace we could handle learning a new skill.Whale watching was a tour of a few groups on the tour boat.Top deck provided a view for about 12 people and the rest of 25 or so had to often miss the show as the boat was often head on instead of turning to allow those on main deck a good view of whales sighted. Our van tour guide was able to get some good pictures he shared with our small group.
Back on the van,Al had an enormous amount of information on all the parks, history of landmarks, and a never ending wealth of patience to our countless questions! Everyday he provided the itinerary ,where housing for the evening and information on where we could eat during the mid day and evening.Frequent stops every hour or aso were provided for bathroom breaks and drinks.Al encouraged us to switch seats every day to allow a different view for all.He helped us to discover the Northern Lights and invited us out to view them, every night outside the capital. Al united our diverse group and we are still communicating with each other.
The tour had many adventures, an Icelandic Horse Farm visit, an extra fee for Thermal pool swim as well as a beautiful daily waterfall, parks, beaches, hot springs, iceberg coves, seals, sheep,Artic foxes, and old Volcanic sites.Would highly recommended this tour if you want to sit back and enjoy the view, not worry about driving, housing and meals.

My wife and myself had booked for the 8 day tour of Iceland, supposed to be from 8th August 2020. We had paid £ 2727.81 for both of us. Due to the Corona virus pandemic, we could not go on the tour and we cancelled the trip 1 month before the scheduled date. We were promised that we would get 90% of the ticket price but later the company went back on its word. They have not paid the refund so far and they are offering us a voucher to go on a future tour. We are shocked that a company can behave like this - not honouring their terms and conditions which state clearly that refund should be paid.

First I want to say is that this tour allows you to see everything you could want to see in Iceland, with that said this will be a honest review. If you have issues hiking, or walking on uneven surfaces, this tour may not be for you; it is an ADVENTURE TOUR. I walk with a cane, and was able to do most, but climbing the glacier, or the volcano challenged me, and I had to know when to stop.

Outside of Reykjavik the town are sparse, and with that, there are limited places to stop for when nature calls, or food & snacks. The “hotel” accommodations are not like North American hotels, they remind me of barracks or dorm rooms.

Due to the 11-12 hours a day sightseeing and driving, when we stopped for the day (around 8-9pm to eat dinner) traps you into where you can eat, and with a limited menu & high price tag ($$$) to go with it. The first two nights we had the same three meal choices (Artic char, lamb shank, or pasta (vegan)). If you have any dietary issues, you will be challenged to find meals to accommodate you.

After the first “Artic Adventures 6 day Ring Road Tour” We ended up back in Reykjavik, and you are worn out from sitting in a tour van for 6 days for up to 11 hour days, we pushed it, and did the 7th day, and skipped the last day to get the COVID test needed to return to the US, and to spend some time shopping in Reykjavik.

In conclusion: Iceland is a beautiful & amazing country, and taking the tour was great to get to see the most of Iceland for the time. Would I do it again, yes, but probably differently. I would have used the whole 8 days to do the Ring Tour that originally scheduled for six days and compacted to 5 days to allow for the volcano hike on the 6th day.

The amazing diversity of Icelandic geography, history and culture expertly explored.
Also sharing this with an excellent driver guide and fellow mini bus tour participants.
The driver guide Krzysztof ( Christopher) was very enthusiastic in his praise for Icelandic life and culture which showed in his commentary and attempt to show as much of his adopted country as possible.
The life of a driver guide is not easy over 6 nights but he responded well to any weather or other hurdles that appeared.
I have travelled extensively throughout the world and can honestly state that this tour was a standout.

If you ever want to experience Iceland:
        Right here!
        Find Adolf & book him!
Adolf braved taking on this 18 headed German Family for 6 days and he showed us everything that Iceland has to offer! He’s an Icelandic native, has the best stories and an incredible depth of knowledge about all that makes this fascinating country so different and fun to visit!
This bus tour went completely around the island, with lots of amazing stops and Adolf always made sure everything was completely taken care of - including beautiful weather 🤩
Seriously, he made this tour so entertaining, fun, informative and he truly went above and beyond what you would expect of a great tour guide! We all felt extremely lucky to have had him as our guide.
So, if you ever go to Iceland - make sure to go with #arcticadventures and specifically ask for Adolf. You’ll thank me later!

First time in Iceland. Few minor set backs. The tour was english, 6 from US, 2 from Hong Kong, 1 from Singapore. Guide somewhat understandable as he has a heavy accent, so when he says guide stuff its hard to understand. I would not deduct points as I think this is unfair. Scenery and nature are wonderful. We went on a winter, so most waterfalls are frozen, some sites unable to access due to deep snow. Got 1 day stuck in a hotel (4 hours in room and 8 hours in lobby) due to icy road closures. Was unable to do the itinerary, so had to go somewhere else, but felt like alternative sites are not as good as the original one from the itinerary. Went whale watching for 3 hours (part of itinerary) and saw no whales. I felt like this could be omitted or substituted with something, but this is not operator's fault. Like I said, still gave 5 points as Iceland is truly beautiful. Maybe summer or spring (if they have such season) is the best time to go. Went on a winter as this is low season for tourist. Tour was originally for 18 and 9 was present.

Excellent experience with an amazing guide. Karl was incredibly knowledgeable and ensured we had an incredible adventure. Weather in the winter of Iceland is unpredictable and we hit a little hiccup, but he did everything in his power to make sure we had the best trip with all the memorable experiences we could ask for. I would definitely encourage anyone who wanted to see a bunch of Iceland to look into all of Arctic Adventures options. Accommodations were nice, food was good, experiences were once in a lifetime. Great trip all around.

Truly memorable trip around the entire island of Iceland with Diddi. What a phenomenal guide! This trip involves a LOT of riding in a 19 passenger mini-bus, and Diddi made it exceptional by sharing all his knowledge of Icelandic history and culture. He also went out of his way to share some wonderful surprises, like a side trip to a puffin nesting ground, a visit to an Icelandic horse farm, and so much more.
