Overview
Get acquainted with the south coast of Iceland during this 11-hour sightseeing tour from Reykjavik. Aboard a comfortable coach with an in-bus audio guide available in 10 languages, travel to some of the south coast's most arresting natural sights. Trek across a portion of a glacier and walk behind a tumbling waterfall. Then, pass the small villages and fertile farmland that make up an area rich in Viking history. Hotel pickup and drop-off in Reykjavik are included.
What to Expect
Following convenient pickup at your hotel in Reykjavik, leave the city for your day's exploration of Iceland's southern coast. As you travel, take advantage of the in-bus audio guide, available in 10 languages, to gain insight on the landscape as you pass.

First, you'll head to the Sólheimajökull glacier. Trek around the crevasses and cracks with a certified glacier guide. Learn about the formation of the glacier, which flows from the Mýrdalsjökull ice cap, and how it helped form the surrounding landscape. Then, travel to Skógarfoss falls, where you'll climb 527 steps to admire the 213-foot (60-meter) waterfall from above.

Finally, stop at Seljalandsfoss, considered among Iceland's top natural attractions. Walk the path behind the rushing water to get a different perspective on the tumbling falls.

Back on board the bus, pass through an area rich with both fertile land and Viking history. On a clear day, get unobstructed views of the Westman Islands, Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull volcanoes.

At the end your 11-hour sightseeing tour, return to your Reykjavik hotel for drop-off.

Fraud, description was not accurate

It's a fraud and misinformation. You won't be able to see all places listed. I'd only booked it because I thought everything was included, otherwise I would go somewhere else, the same trip without going to glacier cost 50% less with another provider. Issue reported...More

Nice tour

They picked us up via shuttle close to our Air B n B location and took us to the main bus. The bus had free wifi, nice windows for viewing, and the tablet tour was basic but informative. The tour guide Johanna was very helpful...More
