Andres, was in contact from the start of our booking and wisely advised us that the conditions may not always be conducive to seeing the lights. Andres came to our hotel and explained every day what our chances were. Rather than other tours where they take payment even when there is no possibility. I knew we were in safe hands and Andres expertise would guide us in the right outcome as was so clear from other reviews. In the end the conditions were not right - but our expectations were managed so well by Andres and we had a wonderful trip to Iceland all the same and even better to have contact with such a good person as Andres is. So make sure you book with him - there is no better!

Fabulous private Golden Circle tour with Andrea's. Spent the day visiting all the sites and seeing all the beautiful countryside. We didnt want to do the secret lagoon so spent more time at each stop and had the additional bonus of visiting a lovely dairy farm for delicious ice cream. Andrea's is very knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting facts and stories about Iceland. Highly recommend a private tour you can spend as much or as little time as you wish at each stop. Andrea's would advise where to go and would then leave you to view/walk at your own pace. Two female travellers felt safe and at ease, picked up and dropped off at hotel which was lovely.

I had a lovely 4 day break with my daughter in Iceland and we did three tours with Andres. He worked really hard to make sure we saw some Northern Light activity even though the magnetism was low. On the other tours we saw amazing scenery from waterfalls and glaciers to crazy rock formations and geysers. It was an amazing trip and thank youAndres for helping to make it so memorable.

We had a great experience with Andres. We are 3 senior couples. Had private golden circle tour w secret lagoon. Andres is knowledgeable and offers the traveler a great deal of information on Iceland and its people. We went to the National Park where he explained we were straddling North America and Eurasia Teutonic plates. Stopped at an organic farm for homemade ice cream. We went to the Grima geyser which we saw spouting from the road. After that we went to the Gullfoss Waterfall stunning. Even saw a rainbow there. We then had lunch there. Andres had shared this was a family run business. This was a very full day and something we could not have duplicated on any other tour offered. At the end of day we came across sheep herding which blocked traffic and held us up. Andres offered to still take us to the crater but we opted out as it was getting close to departure time for our cruise. The next day, in another port, we were in a bus excursion where the bus went on fire. Andres, knowing it was our itinerary, reached out to ensure we were all ok. We really appreciated that! Great guy. Super tour. Would love to come back and see more of Iceland with Andres as our guide. Highly recommend.

Our tour was fantastic! Andres was so kind and thoughtful. He was extremely knowledgeable about every spot we stopped at. He took the time to explain each stop in detail. We never felt rushed. We traveled in his van and we felt we never would have experienced Reykjavik the same way with a big tour bus crowd. We had a jam packed day full of amazing sights with Andre. Andres is THE MAN. He really customized our day trip by listening to our interests and making recommendations based upon them. Great communication ahead of our time together so you were never left wondering. Pick up and drop off was at our door. We stepped out and there he was waiting. I mentioned about getting back to Reykjavik in time for our dinner resie and Andres made sure of that (even offering to drive us to the restaurant). He is very knowledgeable and everyone we encountered seemed to know him. All we had to do was sit back and relax as he brought us to all the highlights Iceland has to offer. At each site he was careful to not hover and let us have our own experience but was near by where we never had to search for him. I would book with Andres at Mercury Grail without hesitation. So much better than being on a tour bus.

Thor, the Guide of Thunder!! And laughter 😆 From the moment we got on the bus at 8:30am until 8pm that evening he had us in tears from the jokes and stories. Personable is an understatement, Thor’s personality is warm, soulful, and authentically kind. Thor also hums along to the great playlist he created for our pleasure. The music mimics the vibe of the experience you will be enjoying. He has great history of both the land and some troll 🧌 stories thrown in for fun. He knew all the “hot spots” as he is a local born and raised on the peninsula with his family history dating back to the 1800’s!! If you book with Thor you’ll be is safe and capable hands. I hired Andres to take my family (2 adults, 2 kids) for a full day tour of southern Iceland. Andres was very accommodating and designed a tour that stopped at some of the most spectacular locations Iceland has to offer while staying within our shore-leave time window. He was very responsive to questions via WhatsApp before our tour, picked us up promptly at the cruise terminal, and made adjustments to our tour on the fly to accommodate weather, traffic, and our preferences to spend more time at one site vs. another. Andres was always quick to offer to take a photo and made occasional stops along the way to point out natural features or wildlife. I highly recommend Andres and his company.

We had an enjoyable time seeing the best of Iceland with Andres over three days. Communicating over e-mail before we got to Iceland was easy, and while there Andres was more than accommodating for the continued customization of our days. Even after a full day's tour, Andres took us to Sky Lagoon in the evening and patiently waited for us to finish so we wouldn't have to cab back. Andres took us around in comfortable 4WD, is a safe & excellent driver, and has many stories to share! Most enjoyable day for us was South Coast.

The country of Iceland is truly amazing for its beautiful out of this world scenic places. Once in a life time , it is definitely worth our effort & time to visit. All the attractions are totally irresistible. Must view the Arora - Northern Lights Show, the Glaciers, the Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon, Kerid, Volcanic Crater, Dynjandi Waterfall, Lake Myvatn, Diamond Beach just to name a few.Puffin viewing is a must too. To enjoy Iceland at your own pace, suggest that you rent an EV car(from the airport) and drive along the 1300 sq km of the island. Kindly adhere to the speed limit although the drive along the coastal roads can be rather challenging. As most food are imported into Iceland, the overall food variery is rather limited and could be slightly pricy although the icelandic water is free and superb. It is very convinient as its cashless as all establishments accept cards as payment. There is no necessity to change to icelandic krona. Best time to visit is around July to September as we can enjoy almost 18 to 20 hours fof daylight.
