On this Northern Lights tour, travel outside Reykjavik with a guide who knows the area’s dark country roads. Relax on a coach bus as you head to the best viewing spots, hearing about the science of this unique natural phenomenon and its related Icelandic folklore. You’ll also get great photography advice, and if for some reason you don’t see the lights, you can take another trip for free.
What to Expect
Because this Northern Lights tour offers easy round-trip transport, be ready to get picked up at your hotel in the Reykjavik area. Hop aboard an air-conditioned coach bus and ride through the city toward Iceland’s countryside.

On the way to the best viewing spots, your guide will tell you about the science behind the lights, as well as folklore surrounding them.

Your guide will take you to some of the best places to see the Northern Lights in Iceland. The darker the night sky, the better the chances are to see this unique natural phenomenon. Your guide will also share tips for the best way to photograph the lights.

At the end of your tour, you’ll head back to your departure point with some awesome photos and amazing memories.

Disappointing - probably would have done better ourselves.

The Good: - I appreciate that this company offers you the option to have another chance at seeing the lights if you have an unsuccessful viewing. - Even though people could see the lights through their cameras (including my own - [see pictures attached]), they...More

Northern Lights Mystery Tour

I will not book with this company again. There were hundreds of us being shuttled around chasing the lights. You feel like cattle being pushed along. The bathroom stop was horrific - we spent our entire "break" in line waiting for the restroom because all...More

Northern Lights

An excellent trip but well worth it if you do see the lights. You are taken to a number of places first in an attempt to build up the picture before you eventually arrive at a sighting

3rd time lucky!

Great tour, managed to see Northern lights on the 3rd and final day for us. Highly weather dependent but greyline email you if weather conditions are totally unacceptable. Otherwise according to guides it seems like a 50-50 chance of seeing them if there are clear...More

Hi, I don't think the tour operators do pick up from the airport. You will be really pushed for time to get into Reykjavik for a 22.00 Tour start. The best bet is to contact the Tour Operator and ask what the closest pickup... More

It picks up a few minutes away from the port. If you email the tour operator they will tell you the nearest pickup point
