Copenhagen City Sightseeing Hop On Hop Off is Substandard!!!!
We took the City Sightseeing Hop On Hop Off bus from the cruise port, and they told us we could buy a boat tour with our ticket at the kiosk for $7. When we got to the boat tour kiosk, we were told they scammed us, that it would not give us a discount and would cost us FULL PRICE foe the boat ride! The busses also run every half hour, and do not provide internet, like the Red Hop On Hop Off, which also runs more frequently. DO NOT USE CITY SIGHTSEEING HOP ON HOP OFF, the Red Hop On Hop Off also goes to the Copenhagen Cruise Port, so be careful which bus you choose!!!! City Sightseeing was also more expensive, and almost the identical route.

        Buyer beware
We always take these trips around the world as they help with orientation. This was by far the worst! Make sure you check before walking away from kiosk, what you have paid for! We thought we had booked all 3 routes over 48 hours but found out after that we only had tickets for 1 route for 48 hours. When we went back to challenge, we were told there was nothing they can do! Except pay again for other two routes. Which was twice as expensive as booking all 3 together. There was limited service on purple route and only 2 buses on green route. The earpieces only work in some of the outlets. And the tour itself was less than informative

Took the bus from the cruise ship terminal for two days, three routes & included the canal cruise. Very good value for money. Although they say Copenhagen is a very walkable city we are extremely glad we did this as its massive really, we wouldn't have seen 1/3 of what we did or spent more on public transport & we've walked everywhere. Yes the trips often ran late but traffic was manic, they did their best. Ticket sellers at cruise terminal were pretty useless but the ones in town were great and the drivers were excellent, good sense of humor & very helpful. Very disappointed we didn't get an open top boat, they changed it at the last minute, viewing sosososo much better from those ones but really enjoyed the canal part nonetheless.

        Awful service
Avoid Royal City bus tours. Waited one hour twenty minutes for a bus after our first ‘hop off’. Saw many other companies buses drive past When the bus came it was crowded with no seating. Had to abandon our planned tour and catch another bus. Absolutely useless use other bus companies!

        Great value
We really enjoyed our ride around town. Carlos our driver was wonderful and had a great personality. The bus stopped at the Marriott so it could not be easier to get on. They stop at all of the popular attractions. We got a few minutes to take pictures at the mermaid statue which was a bonus. We learned a lot about the city. Thought it was a very good way to see the city.

        Do not take this bus
The bus did not come in time. The lady who sold us the tickets gave us the wrong spot to go wait in. Waited for an hour. Overall a terrible experience not worth the money.

we nearly missed our ship: bus didn't come according to timetable
We used the Aarhus hop on hop off bus to visit Dem Gamble By. Since we were in Aarhus with a cruise we took 2 hours to get from the open Air Museum to the ship (1/2 hour drive), but the bus didn't come for more than over 1 hour, then it ended up in a rush hour, so we had to run to cathch our ship. Head phones didn't function well,- other headphones gave the same problem-so we missed a lot of the explanation.

        Great bus routes, lovely staff
We purchased a 2 day ticket for the City Sightseeing Hop on Hop off bus in Copenhagen with included canal cruise. There are 3 different bus routes which gave us a great overview of different areas. The canal cruise was also good. The staff at the stops and on all of the buses were very friendly and could not have been more helpful. We have done Hop on Hop off bus tours in many cities around the world and this was as good as any of the best we have done. I recommend to pay the extra couple of dollars to buy all 3 routes on the bus, as the 2 extra routes were well worth the extra money.

        Excellent Tour
Went on this when on a cruise. Picked the bus up at the Port but things seemed a bit out of synch. Tickets were issued but halfway round, a check was carried out and some of the passengers were ejected as they were on the wrong bus. Seems some tickets were being sold within the cruise area and with multiple carriers, folks got on the wrong vehicles. Be careful. The trip itself was the standard all encompassing hop on hop off service with good commentary and length of time aboard. Certainly recommend this one.

Red route, be careful to get on the correct red bus
We purchased our tickets at the tourist information and tried to get on a bus, but there is more than one red hop-on hop-off bus. Confusing. Plenty of different languages and easy to hear, even for my Mom when she took out her hearing out. They give you earbuds to keep. The bus stopped for ten minutes at the Mermaid statue so we could all get photos. All of the main sites were seen and seats were comfortable.

Garbage - Dont Waste Money - Book Taxi
Cruise into Copenhagen - used the ticket to leave the cruise and found out it was just a transfer to a stop near Tivoli - skipped waiting and walked around Copenhagen (very walkable) and when we were ready to go back we were told an hour (from stop 12 to 6) wasn’t enough time and had to get a taxi. Total waste. Taxi driver was 10x friendlier than anyone working for this terrible company.

Should be max. half the price for twice the quality!!
Audio guide speak only about half the time. Lack of really interesting stories and facts about Aarhus. Annoying mention of shopping possibilities three times!!! A free or cheap quality sightseeing tour for cruise passengers and other visitors would be good pr for Aarhus. Hard to imagine crew recommending this tour to their passengers. Born and bred in Aarhus, I am proud of this small, yet charming city. I feel the sightseeing tour fails to give the great impression of Aarhus that it should...😢

The bus (red line) had seat belts installed, but clearly AFTER new regulations had been imposed. Hence, some bright spark had placed the one side of attachments behind the actual seat, which made it inoperable down one complete row. Moronic and illegal, one would imagine.

The first plug in earphones we tried did not work, some others did: take pot luck.

It proved really difficult to find the stops, which were not clearly marked. We spent our time walking to find a stop which was recognisable. Finally, managed to get on the last bus, only to berated by the driver who informed us none of the earphones worked...so don't bother. He would not let us know when the stops were coming up either, so up to us.

Totally unprofessional and not worth half the 60 euros we were charged for two.

Copenhagen was graffiti ridden and lacking in any welcoming aspects for tourists, as well as being over-expensive for what it is.

There are much more attractive and welcoming cities in Europe, so we will not be bothering to go here again.

The most popular stop and getting on board is the Raddison stop. It is the same stop that the red citysightseeing bus stops at, which is not the same as this one. This one has yellow on it, the other white! Very obvious to no one. Which led to people getting angry when they couldn't board that one. The green bus? Owned by the same company as the red/yellow bus. That green one during this debacle appeared once and it took a long time. Avoid the green bus. Nobody looked happy. As for the red sightseeing bus, I learned the following. 1. Don't gripe to the folks who sell the tickets on site that you want a refund, they can't give you your money back, they will give you an email address to reach out. I saw this occur during the MOB scene. 2. If a bus shows up and there are angry old people who are not used to high humidity stand aside. They will get on said bus and demand seats, even when their are not enough of them. If they are old and Italian and you want on with them, let the guy who looks like he hung with Brutus in 43 AD lead. 3. the headphones are horrible. Mono all the way. Plus people leave them on the bus. They are not cleaning the seats here, so I guess COVID never happened. Good luck finding the sanitizing juice. The narrator is often a step or two behind, this is especially true when he talks about Hand Christian Anderson's home. It's in front of you to the right. He says it is behind you. Getting back on the bus at their stops is utter futile. Some have maps which the other red bus uses as well, some don't.

Awful. We sat at stops for 40 minutes at a time waiting for people to board. Because the bus only runs until 4 pm although we paid for all 4 lines we were only able to go on one route due to all of those delays. Chaos and completely disappointing. Don’t waste your money.

Really interesting facts that really engaged the listener with the history of Denmark. The driver couldn’t have been more accommodating and as it was a cold but sunny day gave us the option of putting the roof up or down. It was a great way to see the main attractions in Copenhagen.

Good basis to start the city sightseeing, especially on stormy/gusty day on 20th Oct! The woman rep at Stop 12 provided a really helpful start and a simple timetable to take picture of. The 3 routes Red, Green, Purple were worth it and ran over the stormy weather!

This was the most disorganized and worse hop on and hop off we have been on. The people selling tickets did not even know simple answers like could you walk from fountain to mermaid statue. In an hour and 45 minutes did not even get all the way around. Got off and walked 3 stops to see things. They said shuttle back to cruise ship was every 25 minutes but bus driver said on the hour. Every stop was a full stop looking to sell tickets, not a stop to get on or off. Customer service is lacking, only concerned about selling tickets. Note that the traffic is horrible so the times are not very accurate.

      A disappointment from the get-go.
The ticket was purchased from the driver, who was quite rude and didn't want to answer any questions. He did not add the 10% discount from our coupon, and when pointed out, we were told to pay now (without the discount) or leave the bus. He then pulled away so quickly one of our party almost fell back down the stairs!
The bus passed a number of landmarks, but the commentary was not in syn with the bus location.
I'd suggest saving your money and walking or cycling.

Go Red Hop On Hop Off instead. Chose 72 hour pass City Sightseeing Bus. Big mistake. Kept seeing Red Hop On Hop Off buses but hardly any City Sightseeing buses. Ended up buying a Red pass with a much better experience. Red has great app which shows where the buses are. City Sightseeing drove right past me while standing at a stop shown on their map and the bus was clearly not full. Similar good WiFi on both.

Bought a combined hop-on hop-off bus and canal tour ticket online before coming away, both parts of which were easily redeemed from the QR code I was given when booking.
The bus was warm and dry, an ideal way to see the sights on a cold and wet December day. The driver gave some commentary but there was good headphone audio throughout (headphones provided on board). The default setting seemed to be English.
There was enough time to get off and take photos of the Little Mermaid and then get back on the same bus rather than having to wait for the next one! Stop 1 is right next to one of the canal boat pick up points.
It’s a shame that only one of the three routes runs in winter and that the hop on hop off canal boat also doesn’t seem to run, but the grand canal tour was great anyway.
My husband and I were very happy with our day exploring in the relative warm and dry despite the actual weather conditions!

Bus arrived on time at the bus stop in front of our hotel (Marriott). Carlos the driver was great. As we got on fairly late (early afternoon), we did not hop on and off- just stayed on it for the whole loop.
Bus was clean and we were able to open the windows on the upper deck.
This was important to us because hardly anyone was wearing a mask anywhere.

I have used this company before. In the autumn only one of the three tours is running.

      Definitely recommend them.
