Had to follow up and praise the service provided to us today by Thomas and Kosta our driver. We were delayed and only arrived late in the evening yesterday. Our Air B&B host contacted Thomas after hours and we were able to meet them at their office and book a morning tour. I cannot speak highly enough of how well we were looked after. The visit to the Monasteries was amazing. The transport provided was first class and Thomas’ local knowledge of the history and stories about this magical place complimented everything that we saw. Highly recommend that you book directly with this local operator you won’t be disappointed.

Our tour guide Penny and driver Thanassis were friendly and excellent at their jobs. They re-jigged the tour plans on the run due to large crowds at some monasteries and the fear of heights of one of us. We still visited 3 important monasteries and even the heights challenged person got to visit one - Saint Stefano. We saw all 6 monasteries and the villages of Kalabaka and Kastraki, as well as stunning views of the whole valley. The facts and background presented were interesting. They were on time everywhere, always waiting at the pick up point. We highly recommend this as excellent value for money.

Last night, we were lucky to be on a private tour! The guide, a girl named Yrea (or something like that) did a wonderful job by telling us a lot about the whole story of Meteora. Thank you very much, it was super!

We were beyond happy with VIP Meteora Tours! My friend and I traveled to Athens, Greece for a six-day stay in April 2023. We toured all the hot spots in Athens but also knew we wanted to make day trips to Delphi and Meteora. We booked a day tour to Meteora with "Key Tours" from Athens. We traveled with them to Delphi and all went very well. We booked the Meteora tour online in the evening for the following day. We asked about this booking in their office the day before but they never mentioned any timeline. However, after booking the Meteora tour, we never got an email confirmation for the booking only to find out the following morning (once reaching someone over the phone) that this type of tour cannot be booked the night before due to the need for purchase of train tickets (yet the system has a glitch and allows for bookings). We were running out of time in Greece but didn't want to miss seeing Meteora so we decided to go on our own. We went to the train station in the morning, got our train tickets, and off we went. We arrived in Meteora unprepared in terms of how we'll reach the monasteries and figured we'll figure it out once we get there. We did feel a bit of stress at this point knowing we have less than 4 hours before our train's departure back to Athens. Right across from the train station we found "VIP Meteora Tours" office and inquired if we could do an impromptu tour. It was all a breeze from there!!! What a relief. They made some phone calls, made us complimentary coffee, and within 15 mins a minibus and a tour guide (Ria) showed up. Ria explained what we'll see and what to expect. She was talking to us the entire time on the bus and told us all about the history of the monasteries as well as about the local geology, all in excellent English I should add. We visited two monasteries and stopped a few times for photos. Then we were dropped off right back at the train station exactly few minutes before our departure. Knowing now the distances there, I don't see how we would have done it without "VIP Meteora Tours" given our small time window. And the cherry on the cake? We saved about 30 Euros per person versus the price tag from "Key Tours" in Athens (who did give us our money back). Overall, I highly recommend "VIP Meteora Tours"! Meteora is a magical place. Wow is all I can say we did two tours with them and would do more We went to the daytime Monastery tours they were kind and thoughtful and they are so knowledgeable We loved the day so much we booked the sunset with them as well what a wonderful experience again Great tours

Fantastic tours of the monasteries and sunset tour. Christos was a wonderful guide-lots of interesting info and adapted to our particular interests
