Zakynthos Shipwreck Beach Excursion

Overview
Explore Shipwreck Beach, located on the coast of Zakynthos, during this 6-hour tour with a small group. Travel via air-conditioned coach and boat to this famous beach, where you can swim in the turquoise ocean and check out the sea caves. Your tour will make a stop for lunch (own expense) at a mountain tavern on the way back to town.
What to Expect
Begin your 6-hour tour with pickup at your hotel in Zakynthos or a convenient meeting location between 8:30am and 9:30am. With your small group, climb into an air-conditioned coach and set off for Porto Vromi, located on a picturesque bay.

Meet your boat captain and step aboard for the 30-minute journey to Shipwreck Beach, where you'll spend an hour exploring and swimming. Snap photos of the enormous boat that ran aground on the beach in 1980, giving the beach its name.

Back on the boat, cruise past the nearby sea caves, one of which has Poseidon's face carved in the rock by the crashing waves. On the journey back, stop in a local mountain tavern for a traditional Greek lunch (own expense).

Your tour ends with drop-off at your original departure point after 6 hours.

Boat trip to Shipwreck Beach - good but crowded

way too busy

The brochures and advertisement is very different from the actual thing, for one the shipwreck is actually far to the left of the beach when it looks central in most of the photos. The water is beautifully clear but you cant access it because you're...More

Unsure

Yes this is a lovely beach with beautiful clear water, however it is packed, as there does not seem to be any order amongst tour groups, boats and larger ships dump thousands of people on the beach leaving virtually no room to lay your towel....More

Rust Wreck

Really thought this would be worth seeing but it is nothing more than a rust heap which has been placed on an otherwise lovely beach

Worth the visit!

Great place to take pics and have a quick swim. Absolutely beautiful. We took the tour with Captain Spiros from Levante Speedboat Excursions and would highly recommend.
