Private Guided Tour of Traditional Santorini
US$ 62.98
Overview
Immerse yourself in Santorini's beauty, culture, and cuisine on a private tour of the island, from must-see highlights to traditional villages not on the usual tourist itinerary. Head to the island’s highest point for panoramic views, visit the ruins of castles, and stop for lunch at a family fish tavern on a black-sand beach. Learn what makes volcanic wines unique during a guided tasting at a winery, and end the day with a classic Santorini sunset from the postcard-perfect village of Oia.
What to Expect

Embark on a 6-hour tour of Santorini with a friendly local guide. A car will pick you up at your hotel or port and take you to off-the-beaten path corners of the island, including churches, local fish taverns, and restaurants. You will admire breathtaking views from the island’s highest point at the mountain of Profitis Ilias 567 meters above the sea with a panoramic view of the whole island all the way to the village of Oia.You will discover the traditional village of Pyrgos,a village found at the highest point of Santorini, typical Fortress Settlement, which was declared a protected settlement in 1995.On the hilltop you will find ruins of Kasteli Castle, one of the five `Kastelia` on the island. Meet an oenologist at Venetsanos Winery and learn to distinguish the tastes and aromas of Santorini wines, while overlooking the caldera cliffs of the island. Sip three distinct wines, all produced locally.

You will be able to taste the traditional cuisine of Santorini at a local family tavern on Perivolos Beach, known for its black volcanic sand. Stop for a photo at Firostefani, which has sweeping views of Santorini’s whitewashed buildings.

Delve into the fascinating village of Oia, where bright white houses with cobalt blue roofs line the hillsides. Catch the sunset, when the sky is streaked with splashes of rich okra, deep fuchsia, oyster pink, and earthy red.

At the conclusion of your tour, a vehicle will return you to your hotel or port.
