Overview
Go off-roading in the rugged landscapes of Crete's northern coast on a ATV adventure from Rethymno. Splash through streams, wind along ancient gorges, and look for island wildlife from behind the wheel of a personal quad vehicle that can access tucked-away reaches surrounding Maroulas Mountain. Get a taste of Cretan history and culture during several stops along the way, including a traditional Greek coffeehouse and medieval villages that date to the 11th century.
What to Expect
Start early in the morning (or afternoon) with pickup from your hotel. You will be taken to the base located in the town of Rethymno. After your qualified guide provides you with the professional equipment needed and a detailed briefing you will start the fun part: the exciting quad safari.
Driving off road you head up to Maroulas mountain.

Having your first stop on the top of the mountain for about 10 minutes you have the opportunity to admire a magnificent panoramic view of the town and take some unique photos. Your second stop will be about 20 minutes this time, and gives you the chance to relax and enjoy a coffee at a traditional kafeneion (Greek coffeehouse) of Gidospito at the beautiful lake of Potami. This is an image to remember.

Last but not least, stop at the picturesque village of Prassies for a quick snack (included). By the time you get back and dropped off to your hotel (within certain limits), you will be able to recall many beautiful pictures and moments. A dusty and adventurous experience you don't want to miss, will surely make your visit to Greece a unique one.

Great fun

We were picked up very close to our accommodation and taken to their base where we were given helmets and googles. The quads are in good mechanical condition. You spend about 50% of your trip off road and the other 50% on the highway. Our...More

Fantastic! Favourite part of our trip to Crete. Amazing views and wildlife, plus so much fun. Simple to use - although be aware that your thumb may ache slightly - and the perfect way to see some of Crete's remote beauty. Guides were very friendly...More
