About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Adventure090157268700 contributionsSuperb tour of Athens & awesome tour-leaderBeing the first time visiting Athens, we did not know what to expect. But from the get go, our tour leader Mr. Dimitris Gkiolas was amazing. Before we went to each attraction, he gave us a preview by means of a running commentary whilst driving of what to expect, what the story & history was behind those famed archeological sites & even myths surrounding them. The tours were well-timed giving us enough time to take lots of pictures & appreciating them. Mr Gkiolas was informative, & very knowledgeable & answered all our questions well. He was friendly & was even willing to go overtime so that we can complete all our visits. He even recommended a lunch venue that was inexpensive, yet the cuisine was superb. in all, the trip was made memorable through the friendliness & advice of Mr Gkiolas. Well done Dimitris.Written 5 April 2023
- onetaxingguy0 contributionsSuperb Private Full-Day ExcursionStavros was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and helpful. He kept us informed of what we were about to see, the history of Greece, and anything else he felt was important for us to know about Greece. We were picked up on-time at our hotel in a very clean and comfortable van. We could not have asked for a better guide who make this full-day excursion incredibly enjoyable and informative. Corinth Canal is a brief stop and well worth it to see this engineering marvel. Epidaurus has extensive ruins to see and a great coliseum. Nafplion is a charming town in which to have lunch and sightsee for a couple of hours. Mycenae is very special and well worth seeing considering its age, its location, and adjoining museum.Written 29 November 2021
- Coastal4846540 contributionsTruly amazing tour!It has long been a huge wish for us to visit the palaces in Mycenae, and I think we could not have found a better trip than this. The tour was above and beyond what we expected and we can only recommend this!! Stavros was very personable and absolutely all knowing in every topic from recent Greek politics to infrastructure, geology, myths and historical facts. We are scholars of archaeology and learned so much additional from this trip. We are truly impressed by the easy deliverance and presentation and flow of the guiding and had one of the best trips we have ever been on. The trip was tailored to our every desire and we can not stress enough the personal touch and knowledge of Stavros. If you want one tour - choose this. We also want to add, that because of the COVID restrictions travelling from the UK, we had to rebook the tour several times - and every time the rebooking was accommodated with a smile and flexibility that goes beyond everything we have ever experienced. Thank you!!Written 28 June 2021
- X2956ZWjoec0 contributionsA Little DisappointedThe driver was prompt, funny, full of personality, and had extensive knowledge of ancient Greek history. He drove a Mercedes Benz (excellent car) and kept us entertained the entire trip. Cold water was always available (and grateful for that) and a small complementary gift was given at the end of the tour. However, Saint Paul was mentioned no more than three times, and never did we follow any of his footsteps. The tours of Corinth were fabulous, but we wanted and paid for ($400+) a tour of Saint Paul's journies in Athens and Corinth and received neither. NOTE: tourism just reopened and we fully expected tour guides and drivers to be a little rusty, and we've given some leeway for this and tipped the driver generously. These folks have been out of work for over a year and our intent is not to crucify any of them. Bottom line: Give the tour that is advertised.Written 10 June 2021
- Fritz18900 contributionsBest 8 hours in AthensWe had just 24 hours in Athens, and this 8 hours tour was ideal for us. We managed to see all these great monuments and buildings while enjoying a sunny autumn day in the city, with a highly professional, experienced, informative and polite driver and guide. Highly recommended for everyone who wants to enjoy Athens in a convenient, safe, and relaxing way.Written 16 November 2019

We visited all major sights (Acropolis, Parthenon, Temple of Zeus, Old Olympic Stadium and more), saw the changing of the guards and had lunch in Plaka. We learned so much and had such a fun time with our driver who was funny, full of knowledge and gave his best to make our day perfect!Written 5 November 2019
- Nick V0 contributionsVery good tourThis is a very good tour of 4 really importand and beautiful parts of Greece. First stop is the Corinth Canal (a spectacular view), then Ancient Corinth and Mycenae and you end up in Nafplion for a lunch stop. Stavros is trully exceptional every time.Written 5 November 2019
- SealBeachDoc0 contributionsAthens came aliveWe booked with MyAthensTour after some research. I felt lucky to book with them. The communication from the beginning was excellent. This is important to us because we are traveling with three elderly people and we did not have wiggle room for things to go sour. We actually did a hybrid booking for the two days we were in Athens, one full day in the city and another half day driving out to Ancient Corinth. Our interest was seeing Athens from a Christian perspective. Our guide Stravos was terrific. He made our first ever trip to Athens memorable. He picked us up in a great late model MB minivan with name sign in hand at the exit from the port. He had a nice itinerary planned out for us based on our needs. This guy is like a history encyclopedia. Both days were special. You too will be lucky to book with this company. Price is very reasonable. Well done!!Written 17 September 2019

- JMiataS0 contributionsGreat tour!Stavros Striligas was our tour guide for the whole day trip and he was incredible! Extremely knowledgeable of the history, the area, and ensured we saw the main tourist attractions while also accommodating any one-off requests we had. I would go back and do this same tour any day traveling to Athens. One of the best days of vacation by far!Written 8 July 2019
- dmiata20 contributionsTour with StavrouWe took a tour with Stavros in Athens, Greece. We never met a tour guide who was so knowledgeable and funny. - PETROSCAIRO10 contributionsLOVELY KALAVRYTA & HOLY CAVE (MEGA SPILIO).The coach left at ,06,45 am through the Athens-Patras Highway , first stop was at Kiato for morning breakfast , after we continued our trip to the town of KATO DIAKOPTO , where we boarded a special train for a trip up to KALAVRYTA . That train has narrow rails and an extra third one , train at a certain point will connect a gear to the third line so it could get up the steep hill to KALAVRYTA . We had a tremendous experience within this trip , the train drove into the VOURRAIKOU Canyon ,farther was the river full of water , in between the rocks water falls were falling down the river , the Nature with all kind off trees and some caves in the rocks . Arrived at Kalavrita we went walking around the city had lunch , made a few shopping of local products , and the most importantant did not MISS the MUSEUM OF "" THE HOLOCAFTOM "" when during World War II , the German NAZIZ ,took every male over 12 years old , assembled them in the City Square and fired by automatic guns , children - women and old ones were locked from outside in the school hal then they set fire A young soldier could not stand any more the screaming of pain that was heard ,without being seen he run to a back door and opened , so a few where the ones that lived . After we left the city of kalavryta for the very interesting cave "" the MEGA SPILIO "" inside in the Miraculous "" ICON of OUR VIRGIN MARY mother of JESUS CHRIST "" . Back on road towards home with one stop-over for tea break and direct to Athens .Written 23 June 2019
