Itinerary
Book your preferred tour option and depart central Athens for Delphi by climate-controlled coach. En route, hear about the ancient Greek civilization that thrived from the eighth century BC to 400 AD and see Levadia and Arachova, towns known for their colored carpets.

Once in Delphi, head to the UNESCO-listed mountainside archaeological site, one of Greece’s most significant. Next, tour the ruins as your guide sheds light on the site’s oracle, an ancient priestess who conveyed messages from the god Apollo. Admire the Temple of Apollo and other monuments, and then visit the Archaeological Museum to view its artifacts, including the Charioteer of Delphi and Sphinx of Naxos.

Following a hotel lunch or free time (depending on selected option), return to Athens, stopping in Arachova along the way to stretch your legs and grab a coffee (own expense).

Your trip concludes at the original Athens starting point.

Worth A Visit

The stadium is very well preserved. Some of the marble columns are also. However, the unexpected highlight was the museum. It was excellent. We took a bus, and the ride was relaxing. The history of the entire area is amazing.

You need to understand that you are going to spend 6 hours on a bus to only have about 3 hours to walk around the site AND museum. A couple we ate lunch with missed the museum tour in order to see another part of...More

Terrible guide

Our guide to Delphi was horrible! I think her name was Leila. She was disorganized, rude, did not offer interesting information and did not accommodate some older members of the group that couldn't keep up with her. When we asked her to slow down (she...More
