I was happy to have found, Endless Weekend Tours for visiting The Valley of Douro in a way not being offered by a standard tour.
As doing a river cruise at a later date, I was more interested in seeing the Douro River from above. Visit a winery and places for port wine, being done by the cruise.
Again, Carlos, the Manager and myself were discussing/defining the journey, me, for places I don’t want to miss out and he, places I should be seeing too.
It was a great day, the weather just pleasant for driving around, seeing all those wineyards, old and new, small and big. Stopping at many viewpoints seeing this beautiful valley and it’s river from different angles. We even managed that I was able to ride the train for a while. What a day.
Thanks to Carlos, being open for suggestions and „new adventures“ I can highly recommend this company beside for standard tours, too for individual tours. In any way, being a good and careful driver too! Thanks a lot…..
