Pass By: Igreja da Trindade, Praca Trindade 115, Porto 4000-539 Portugal

Come at the heart of the city centre to join this walking food tour of the Old Town. Meet your guide in central Porto, a professional sommelier that will show you the beauty of the city and the secrets of its food and wine heritage.

Pass By: Capela das Almas, Rua de Santa Catarina 428 Esquina com a Rua Fernandes Tomás, a 30 metros do Bolhão-Porto, Porto 4000-444 Portugal

Pass By: Rua Santa Catarina, Porto 4000-447 Portugal

Stop At: Mercado do Bolhao, Rua Formosa, Porto 4000-214 Portugal

This lovely marketplace is where farmers came to sell their fruit and vegetables. Nowadays is under renovations.
Close to the market, start your food tour with one of Northern Portugal’s most famous dishes, the BIFANA, a small sandwich consisting of a light and crusty bread roll filled with sautéed strips of pork which have been seasoned with garlic and marinated with a closely guarded recipe of spices for hours. To pair this flavorful dish we have chosen a light, fresh and effervescent wine from Portugal’s most distinctive wine region, Vinho Verde.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Porto City Hall, R. Clube dos Fenianos 5, Porto 4000-172 Portugal

This magnificent building is one of the most significant historical monuments of Porto, with its large clock centred in the building’s 70-meter tower, keeping time over the avenida in a most regal way.
Close to the surrounding area, we invite you to discover a traditional wine bodega and its hundreds of Portuguese wines. Here we will taste an indigenous Douro Valley variety called Viosinho, a full-bodied but fresh, fragrant, well-balanced wine perfectly paired with a CHARCUTERIE board of locally sourced cheeses and cold meats.

Duration: 30 minutes

Pass By: Igreja do Carmo, Rua Carmo, Porto 4050-164 Portugal

Stop At: Igreja dos Carmelitas, Rua Carmo Vitória, Porto 4050-164 Portugal

The 3rd stop of our food tour is close to the Carmo and Carmelita churches and it is another great local spot, known for its ALHEIRA dish, a flavorful sausage made with meat, bread and spices. Our wine pairing here will consist of a powerful full-bodied red from one of Portugal’s most important wine regions, the Dão.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Praca dos Leoes, Praca Gomes Teixeira, Porto 4099-002 Portugal

A fountain or a piece of art? Probably both.
There are rumors about the Fountain of the Lions inspiring J.K. Rowling in creating her magical realm of Harry Potter when she was living in Porto…
Close to the fountain, we will visit a typical family-style restaurant, known for their traditional Portuguese dishes. Here we’ll sample perfectly made PATANISCAS de BACALHAU, a codfish fritter made with an egg battered flour, parsley, onions and salt. We will pair it with a fresh and invigorating Alvarinho, a northern Portuguese grape that is irresistibly aromatic with hints of lemon zest twined with pear and white peach fruit.

Duration: 30 minutes

Pass By: Torre dos Clerigos, Rua Sao Filipe Neri, Porto 4050-546 Portugal

Pass By: Igreja de Sao Pedro dos Clerigos, Rua Sao Filipe Neri, Porto 4050-546 Portugal

Pass By: Liberdade Square, Avenida dos Aliados Baixa, Porto 4000-322 Portugal

Stop At: Rua das Flores, Porto, Porto Portugal

Once one of Porto’s most important streets, with a line of palatial manor houses for the city’s elite, Rua das Flores nowadays is a charming lane where you can still find jewellery shops and goldsmiths plying their craft.
As soon as we enter our 5th stop, you will understand why we love Portuguese wines so much. A beautiful modern WINE TASTING ROOM where your personal sommelier will pick two outstanding wines for you to sample from Portugal’s best wine regions.

Duration: 30 minutes

Pass By: Palacio da Bolsa, Rua Ferreira Borges S/N, Porto 4050-253 Portugal

Pass By: Igreja de Sao Francisco, Rua do Infante D. Henrique, Porto 4050-297 Portugal

Pass By: Cais da Ribeira, Rua da Ribeira Negra, Porto 4050-321 Portugal

Stop At: Ribeira Square, Praca Ribeira 1, Porto 4050-513 Portugal

This is one of the oldest squares in the city, situated on the bank of the Douro River on the Porto side. It is of mediaeval origin and has always been a very busy area, due to the significant economic activity and its proximity to the port, a few kilometres away.
Our amazing culinary journey wouldn’t be complete without trying some of Porto’s world-renowned Port wines. Step back in time inside this century-old venue, which sits next to Porto’s lively Ribeira, and learn all about the uniqueness, complexity and different features of Port wines. Best of all? You will be able to pair your last wines with HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE! This will complete your full introduction to Porto’s best food and wines.

Duration: 30 minutes

Pass By: Ponte de Dom Luis I, Porto Portugal

Pass By: Rio Douro, Porto Portugal

End your food and wine tour enjoying the sunset in one of the most enchanting views of the city.
