Below expectations

Unfortunately the trip did not offer anything interesting to see. The town of Aveiro does not worth the time/money spent. Also the trip was very short when we reached to the beach were the coloured houses are located we couldn't enjoy the time there we had to rush to take few photos and run back to the van. The tour guide however was nice and provided rich historical information which made the journey feels short.

wonderful experience

If I have an option to give 6 stars, I will. It was a lovely experience in all aspects, my tour operator Daniel was knowledgeable and friendly so to make my trip a memorable one even it started 10 minutes late due to traffic congestion. As it was a small group nearly like a private tour, Daniel was able to swap the destinations so to match the weather and I can have a glorious sunshine river cruise once out of the cloudy morning of Porto. There was good management of time to look around Aveiro and enjoyed a coffee and local sweets Ovos Moles which was a must try before heading to the beach to take in a deep breath of the Atlantic sea breeze. The January sunshine was warm enough to have a stroll without getting too hot. On the way back Daniel gave me a good introduction of Portughese musc including fado and contemporary Portughese music. Just a 5 hour tour, I instantly understand so much more about the local history, culture, geography, industry etc. Highly recommended.

Tour avec Living tours from Porto, very interesting

Our guide, Daniel Mota, is totally fluent in French and English and very nice.
This 4 hour tour from Porto allowed us to see a very diffetent landscape from the North, to visit Aveiro and to do a nice cruise. Then we spent some time at Costa Nueva a beautiful place along the ocean.
Daniel gave us many explanations.

Somewhat disappointing

The tour began as expected. We enjoyed looking around the old fishing village and downtown. The cruise was also interesting. However, the last half hour or maybe more, we had the feeling that the guide just didn't know what else to show us. I don't think it was her fault, but the tour didn't deserve to be 4 hours long. Perhsps 3 hrs 15 mins or 3 hrs 30 mins at most would have been a better time alloction. That would have freed us up for other activities iin the afternoon and made the experience a little cheaper. I would only recommend this tour with reservations.

Slightly overpriced for its worth

I chose this day trip because I had an awkward time before my train to the next city and already spent a few days in Porto. Which, it was a good trip for! However, this tour did not provide much except picture opportunities. My tour guide was awesome, giving facts of Porto and Averio in the car, however, it was not a trip rich in history and you only had a few minutes to walk around both Aveiro and Costa Nova, which was unfortunately enough time because both cities were super small and didn’t have anything but the picture opportunities. The boat cruise was fun, but again not much information shared.

Just okay
We had high expectations of the river cruise and left disappointed. It is in a very busy area with major roadways and wasn’t all that enjoyable. No time to experience anything but the cruise. We saw the beach, which was amazing, but no time to spend. We walked through the downtown but no time to see any shops. I don’t recommend.
