Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and made sure we were all comfortable and safe driving in high traffic areas. 3 hours was perfect and for those who worry about a bathroom break, there is one .Written 19 September 2024
- 942rayl0 contributionsA wonderful and effortless way to get inside Porto whilst outdoors. We were a small group of four, expertly guided by Alex, a local whose lifetime knowledge of Porto was a tremendous bonus. He confidently led us down through a tricky route mixing with traffic and pedestrians alike. Probably not for the fainthearted. Once riverside we almost literally sailed along often on segregated cycle paths. Great views, a lovely coffee stop halfway, and a chance to better understand Portugal all made for a 5-star experience. The e-bikes were essential, the pace fine and the value for money spot on.Written 19 September 2024

- Richard W0 contributionsWonderful guide and great information about the cityWe loved our tour with Maria Vieira. She had tons of positive energy and provided great information about the city. We had a few hiccups booking directly through blue dragon’s site so I do ask that they please look into being able to book tours online that aren’t actually available. Other than that it was a wonderful tour. Obrigado Maria!!Written 17 September 2024

The tour was a disappointment. Our guide knew very little about the history of Porto and Portugal and was not interested in it. The tour started with a 20 mins delay as we had to wait for late-comers. The listed itinerary is not accurate, for instance we did not visit Mercado do Bolhao or Majestic Cafe, instead we spent 30 minutes in the hall of the railway station. It was not worth our time.

Our tour guide Valter was very knowledgeable and gave a very interesting account of places and history throughout the tour. The walking was easy, so light foot wear is all you need. We enjoyed every minute and would highly recommend this tour to be undertaken as early as possible when you get to Porto so that yiou can go back to places that interested you most.

A very wet Sunday afternoon in November was brightened up by Teresa's enthusiasm and obvious love of the city. This tour set us up for further exploration in later days in much better weather. Her restaurant recommendation proved a gem.

Sophia was an amazing tour guide. Very personable, very knowledgeable, very friendly. So many parts of the city stopped for coffee and a pastry, which was included in the price. She stopped to take many pictures of us, answered every question, and was in general just a very friendly, sweet to guide.

We had a very enjoyable time on our walking tour. Our guide Teresa was so friendly and engaging - the perfect mix of history and interesting incites into the city.
She was great at pointing out things that we are interested in and had some great recommendations for us.

We booked a private walking tour from 10am to 1pm, our guide Fátima was very friendly and patient with our questions (we were a group of 5 adults). She was knowledgeable and passionate about the whole tour with lots of special info/tips. We enjoyed our tour with her and would recommend it to people visiting Porto for the first (or second) time, as we got to see and learn about a lot of interesting things

The walking tour was really nice and Teresa our guide has gone over and beyond in explaining the city centre with lots of interesting stories. I think a walking tour gives you better the inside of a city and with a local guide you are told lots of first hand stories you wouldn't know otherwise. I would definitely recommend

These tours are great to learn about the history of the city & get an idea of the important landmarks. Our walking tour lasted 3 hrs. Jamie our guide was knowledgeable & informative.
My 8 year old was very patient throughout but these tours are not for kids. So if you have toddlers I would skip these long walking tours.
Our group was about 25 people. Pace of walking is comfortable & I thinks
it’s a great introduction to the city. The tour guide gave local restaurant recommendations & the tour ends with a group photograph & pay as you please for the tour.

Our guide is a long time resident of Porto, but spoke English excellently. Our group was small compared to other tours we saw during our 3 hour walk. Our guide sent us supplemental information after the walk if we wanted it. My wife and I asked for the supplemental information and found it helpful for continuing our exploration of Porto.
We covered the old section of the city on the North side of the Douro River. This is the area where many visitors stay, so the tour will help you to find your way through the twisty streets. We found that using Google or Apple Maps was not as easy in Porto as in Northern Europe, North America, South America or Asia, so the tour really made a difference for our visit.
Our guide covered culture, history, religion, cost of living and we even had a pastry break for the delicious Portuguese tarts. Our guide answered all of our questions in detail and candour. We highly recommend this tour.
If your interest is port wine you won’t get a lot of depth in this tour, however you can easily walk to the south side of the river to take a distillery tour and taste but you must make sure whether a booking is required.
